My wife and I have stayed in the Corea area since the 1980s but haven't been back to this particular area of Maine for several years. We decided to bring our extended family back which consisted of 3 generations, 6 adults, and 6 kids from ages 10 years to 14 months.
The house was perfect and everyone had plenty of room to spread out and play outside in the huge front yard. The rock beach was an easy climb from the house.
Our group generally left the house early for activities and returned mid to late afternoon. If you've never been to Acadia National Park I would highly recommend it. The entire park is stunningly beautiful and there is world class hiking, biking, kayaking, and boating opportunities within 20 minutes of the house.
The house itself is very large with a huge deck that looks out across the bay with Prospect Harbor on the other side. The house was very clean upon arrival and had multiple areas to congregate and relax both inside and out. One thing that may not be apparent is the that the two main areas to hang out are on the opposite ends of the house so if you are looking for separate areas to congregate this could be a plus. Also, as mentioned in other reviews there are no window coverings so it gets bright very early. An added bonus was the sauna.
Overall this is a great property in a great location with a short drive to get to multiple activities. Ashley was responsive to any questions that we had. I would highly recommend this house.

Beautiful ocean views and a very comfortable home. We enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning and wine in the evening during sunset.

There is not enough good we can say about this property!!
So many memories made with our family! The house was by far laid out and set up for families to thoroughly enjoy the stay and the Space! Our family is from the area and wanted a secluded private, ocean front property! We enjoy wonderful family meals and lots of board games in the spacious dining room! We spent countless hours on the beach rocks, exploring the gorgeous beach, the stones were like no other we’ve ever found before! Our boys had so much fun doing art on the stones they collected, they added them to the stone collection of stone art other families have left!
The rooms are so spacious and private, and the beautiful gorgeous sun is a welcomed sight each morning!
The sauna was a huge hit after chilly morning beach combing. The front yard is the idea spot for large frisbee games and we enjoyed family bike riding in the area!
The management was the most professional and accommodating, along with White Wine etc as a welcome gift! Thank you to all, who helped us make our Fall retreat at this special place be the best ever!
See you next Fall!

This home was perfect for our family. Very satisfied with our stay. Well stocked and communication was fast when we had questions. The views are amazing and the area is nice. Close to what we needed! Thank you for everything! We hope to return again next year!

This property is absolutely stunning. Our group of 6 adults and 4 kids had an amazing time. I do think the property is a bit more catered towards adults rather than children/families with little kids. For example, there are no curtains in the property and the natural light coming in is a lot for nap time, so a lot of us put pack n plays in the bathroom or closet areas. There is also no bathtubs which would have been nice for the littles.
It is also VERY remote, I’m talking not even a gas station close by so keep this in mind when booking as well.
- 25 minutes from gas station
- 45 minutes to “real” grocery store
- 45 minutes to any urgent care/medical center
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and had a great time!

Hurricane Lee added to the magic of staying at this magnificent property. We were a party of nine adults - 4 brothers and spouses on a 9 day sibling trip to explore Maine's coast. Ashley, Debbie and Matt could not have been more concerned about our welfare during the storm. They provided extra supplies and checked on us throughout our stay. The floor to ceiling windows allowed us to witness incredible surf the day of the storm. We could not have had more perfect accommodations for our 4 night stay. Thank you Debbie, Matt and Ashley for our memorable visit at this wonderful property.

This house is amazing and so close to the water! Our week here was foggy and a little rainy most days but we still enjoyed the quiet beauty, watching the waves and spending time together.
The house is well decorated and very comfortable and inviting with plenty of room for all of us.
Corea is a quaint little town; we enjoyed the atmosphere. All in all a great visit.

If you’re looking for somewhere quiet far from the hustle and bustle, this is the place. The house was absolutely gorgeous with expansive views of the water and mountains in the distance. It’s a decent drive from the rest of civilization, but worth the time spent in the car. Stayed here with my husband and his parents as well as our 4 and 2-year-old. The kids thought it was a castle and had a blast exploring all the different areas of the house! The floor plan of the house would make it ideal for multiple families or groups of friends to have their own spaces, HOWEVER, please consider putting some curtains on the lower level rooms (especially the bathroom). Being right off the patio and not having a curtain to cover the bathroom window proved awkward a number of times during our stay. The house could have been a bit cleaner when we arrived and we also had an issue with the tankless water heater breaking one day. But the property manager was quick to respond and we had the issue resolved in a reasonable amount of time. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Our stay was perfection! The property is gorgeous and well stocked. We were all relaxed and enjoyed our time there. It gets very bright in the morning as there are no window coverings, but wouldn’t want to cover up that view!

We thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation because of this home. It provided gathering space, personal space, ample kitchen and breathtaking views. Hearing the waves as you fall asleep and wake up is glorious.

My husband and I had an amazing getawayat this property in Corea. Although it was just the two of us, the property is huge! We stayed in the upstairs king bedroom and especially enjoyed the small private deck there and the extra large private bathroom and shower. We also thoroughly enjoyed the sauna, that although is small, worked very well and we used it multiple times during our stay. We enjoyed the multiple fireplaces in the house and we had a few days that were cooler and really appreciated the option to run a fire in the morning and evening. Our other favorite part of the house was the back deck. We sat for hours on the back deck in the rocking chairs with drinks watching the ocean. Overall, this property was great for a romantic getaway, but we left a ton of space unused! We loved our stay at HagueInn House!

This property is truly one-of-a-kind!
Nestled into nature, removed from the hustle and bustle, a spectacular place to relax and recharge. Incredible light and openness. Calming, mesmerizing ocean sound and sight. I could’ve sat on the deck reading a book or watching the wildlife for weeks.
Also loved walking the rocks on the private beach and heading over to the Schoodic for a hike. Adventure abounds.
The house itself was incredibly clean, very spacious and most comfortable. Cozy touch. Connected TVs were great too for movies.
Management was terrific in every way. From booking through stay. Clear, helpful preparations and communications. Super responsive.
Very good local restaurants with friendly crowds. Learned a lot about the neighboring towns and their histories.
My family cannot wait to go back this summer!

This home is truly beautiful and the view is absolutely breathtaking! Clean, organized, well maintained and decorated. We watched the sunset from the large deck every night and woke up to the stunning ocean views each morning. With floor to ceiling windows, you see everything! We slept with the sliding glass door open and the sounds of crashing waves lulled us to sleep each night. We watched the lobster fishermen pull their traps, as well as seals and many different types of birds. The house comes equipped with everything you need for a great stay!

This wonderful stay already started with the mesmerizing views of the ocean. What a peace and calm gave these views from the living, dining and bed rooms. First I needed an app for this but now I found the place in real life. This gem of solitude really gave me the feeling of reconnecting with nature and myself.
On top of this the house was perfectly clean, very well maintained and professionally prepared for us guests. Everywhere clean neat towels, bathroom amenities and even a coffee machine in the bedrooms.
As I know good internet connection is hard too find I was surprised about he speed and quality of the StarLink internet in this house. I could watch my favorite series on each of the smart TVs without any issues.
Even though spring was about to begin I already enjoyed it so much I will surely be back in summer and fall some day.
Thank you for this wonderful stay.
