About this house rental
This brand new rental home, five-bedroom, five-full-and-one-half bath home is located within The Preserve, one of Kiawah’s premier communities. Set on more than a half-acre of land, this home is well sited to capture stunning sunsets across Killdeer Pond and marsh views from nearly every room in the home.
Its shingle-style exterior with standing seam metal roof is clad in nature-inspired hues and blends seamlessly into the private setting, which is graced by native live oaks, pines, and palmettos. Just steps from the home, a wooden bridge across Killdeer Pond leads to protected conservation areas and nature trails through some of the Island’s most spectacular forest and wetlands. The community also offers a unique collection of community amenities including a bark-clad boathouse, a covered pier with docks, and an observation tower. The Preserve feels far removed from the hustle and bustle of resort life, yet its central location provides quick access to the beach, championship golf, dining, shopping, and more.
The front stairs lead from the driveway to a covered Ipe bridge that conveniently accesses both the main home and guest house. Inside the main home, the primary living space enjoys abundant natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows and French doors that frame marsh vistas and open effortlessly onto the covered porch and pool deck. The bright, open living room features a slate-surround fireplace flanked by custom built-ins for display and storage and exposed beam ceiling detail that flows into the adjacent dining room. The bright, cheerful eat-in kitchen is designed for entertaining with counter seating, a commercial 48” range, and a large, central island with prep sink, wine cooler, and ice maker. A morning room opens directly onto the screened porch for convenient outdoor dining, and a study is tucked away from the primary living space with direct access to the front porch.
The second level is home to the primary suite and two ensuite guest rooms. The primary suite features wall-to-wall French doors that open onto a private, covered porch overlooking Killdeer Pond and the marsh beyond. The spacious primary bath features a centrally placed soaking tub, large, corner shower, and dual vanities with ample storage. With two ensuite guest rooms, a kitchenette, sitting room, and private balcony, the guest house is ideal for visiting family and guests.
A site as naturally stunning as this begs for outdoor living, and this home delivers with a large rear deck surrounding pool that hugs the perimeter of the landscape and gazebo that appears to float just above Killdeer Pond. The pool can be heated for additional $175 per day plus tax. For the safety of the pool filters/chemical balance, the attached spa jets have been disabled, the spa cannot be heated separately but if you heat the full pool the spa will be warm as well.
When you stay with ESPM for 3-21 nights you will receive a valuable credit of up to $280 (amount dependent on length of stay) to use toward beach gear, bikes, etc. Credit may not be available for last minute bookings, 48 hours notice is required.
As our guest, you will have access to 5 Championship Golf Courses – including The Ocean Course – the location of the 2021 PGA Championship; The Kiawah Island Resort Tennis Center - #1 ranked by Tennis Resorts Online; Free Wireless Internet Access;. Local Property Management staff is on hand in case of emergencies and their friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff can assist you with any needs throughout your stay.
