The house layout was great and proximity to beach was great.

We had a wonderful time at 215 Glen Abby. The house has great amenities and provides sufficient space for a large family. It is close to the beach. It does not have any pool access. My only complaint was that we had two doors which were exterior that would not lock/close. I had called in a ticket a day after we arrived, and it was never fixed during our week-long stay. I really had hoped for a better response time as it was un-nerving to sleep with open doors.

Our family loves the layout of the home, the quality of the build, the varied spaces, proximity to the beach, frequent wildlife sightings, and access to guest beach toys and a pack and play.
The house is pretty well maintained and very clean. The startup supplies for toiletries and dishes are pretty limited, so prepare accordingly. The beds in the home are very comfortable, though the couches seem to be getting to the end of their comfortable life.
I believe that this home was recently sold, so some things looked as they may be in transition, but we’re really hoping to be able to stay here again.

We spent a week at this house with our family. The home is beautiful and in an amazing location - close to the beach and walking/biking paths. The house is very much in need of a refresh with furniture, mattresses and kitchen supplies - things are worn and broken from use. There is so much to love about this home and it would be even more amazing with some refreshes!

Great property, great house. Simple suggestion for maintenance crews would be to address simple things such as towel bars, and hooks being more secure to the walls. Also, some of the drawers were difficult open and close in some of the bedrooms. Enjoyed the property.

Large space for families. Close to beach. Excellent service after making suggestions.

Except for the clothes I left in the closet and the dead bird on the sreened in porch all was well.

We absolutely loved our stay. The house was in wonderful condition and the convenience of two washer and dryers was extremely handy! Plenty of room for dining for large groups. We loved riding the bikes we rented to the beach- such an amazing location. Can’t recommend this location enough!

The house is spacious, well furnished, and has a great location. However, the air inside has a strong mildew/mold smell, and in my opinion/based on our experience, the local Vacasa management is not to be trusted. We arrived around 8:00PM on Easter Saturday after a nine-hour drive with four small children. We immediately knew that we could not stay there for the entire week as planned because the air was so bad. Everyone, even our three-year old, noticed it, commented on it, and had bad reactions. We opened all the windows to air it out but had little success. I immediately contacted the local Vacasa rep and explained the situation. She informed us there were no other properties available and suggested that we stay at a hotel 20 minutes away, a bit of a wild suggestion given this was a family home with a short walk to the beach that we had booked for the week for our family and another. We had no choice but to stay in the house for one night and leave the next day. We were lucky to find another rental open the next day that could accommodate our families. The local Vacasa rep assured me that we would be refunded for the nights we did not stay there within 3-5 days. She also assured me that she would inspect the property and submit a request to her Vacasa management to refund the night we were essentially forced to stay there. Well, that didn’t happen. Andrea stopped responding to me five days later. It took me calling Vacasa’s support line several times, repeatedly explaining the situation, to get even a response. The response I got was that a Vacasa general manager had inspected the property and found no evidence of mold/mildew, and that the smell we were smelling must have been the sweetgrass. I know the smell of sweetgrass, and it doesn’t smell like mildew/mold. On top of the denial of the smell by the Vacasa general manager, I was told we would not be refunded at all. I had to send them screenshots of the local Vacasa rep’s text message to me that said, “I will issue a refund for the nights you did not stay,” to get them to override the general manager’s decision to not refund anything. I am still working to get a refund for the night that we did stay, but I wanted to get this review up asap so others were aware of the issue in the house. There is plenty of evidence of moisture around the property that I documented, e.g. gutters overflowing with leaves and other debris. I would recommend staying very far away from this home and Vacasa.

Great home and perfect location. The house is fantastic with great furniture and views. Very close to the beach and golf. Only negative is the TV’s do not work properly. Can not get any stations. Other than that the house is very nice and i would stay there again.

Great home to rent. Beautiful in and out. Very close to the beach and bike path. Couldn’t be more pleased.

The house was roomy and clean with great porches and a grill for our use, and it was a short bike ride or walk to the beach. However we didn’t understand the 3 car limit for a 5 bedroom house, especially since there was an empty 2 car garage. Four siblings and spouses met at Kiawah from various places and we didn’t know about the 3 car limit until a week before our stay. This time we managed to double up but that might not always be possible. Then we had to call the tech guy to come help us with the TV because the instructions weren’t clear and even he couldn’t figure it out. Also, we rented bikes which had to be stored out of site, but the code for the garage didn’t work. However, the code did work for the property owners storage which was a bad idea to have the same code for both especially since they did not allow the use of their personal bikes. Great house, but work on making its little easier for your guests.

The inside of this home is beautiful and it is in a nice neighborhood. The outside of this home needs some TLC. There is some mold under the eaves and I don’t think the screened in porch had been deep cleaned in a very long time which is a shame as it is a wonderful area and nicely furnished.

40th Wedding Anniversary
We had a family get together for our 40th wedding anniversary. We honeymooned at Kiawah 40 years ago. The house was comfortable, well equipped and clean. The property management folks were very responsive to questions. We enjoyed being back after not having been there for about 20 years.

Tennis Outing with the Ladies
The property was absolutely stunning! The size was very impressive. Some of the ladies were a little surprised that no bikes were available to use nor beach chairs or umbrellas. That might be one thing to consider in the future. Also, there were no tissues at the premise. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at your gorgeous house! We loved seeing the deer on the golf course and the turtle!

Great house
This house was so roomy that it was easy to lose where people were located. Everything was great. Two laundry rooms! Everything worked great. Quick 5 min walk to beach and 3 mins to a great bridge to use for fishing. Super rental!!

Beautiful Home in Great Location
Our family had a wonderful stay in this home. The home itself was gorgeous with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The many outdoor decks and patios offered endless opportunities for peace and space for everyone. The location was amazing - gorgeous views of the golf course, a short, easy walk to the beach, and right next to walking and biking trails. We are already planning our next vacation!

20th Year Anniversary Celebration
Our Book Club celebrated our 20th year at your lovely home. The house was spectacular. There was ample space for all 8 of us to spread out and enjoy. The highlight was a beautiful dinner at the home prepared by a wonderful chef. Best place in the house was the screened porch. Would definitely book the home again

The Gathering Place
This was my 2nd stay in this house. It is a wonderful accommodation for a large family. I would recommend that you bring some cookware along. The nonstick pots and pans were old and scratched up.

Magnificent House
Renting was easy. Access to home very easy. Great location. Close to Beach Boardwalk. The only reason I didn’t rate 5 stars is bc house lacked basic necessary supplies and was a little dirty. We’d definitely stay again but managers should have a few extra garbage bags, more than 1 roll of paper towels, counter spray for cleanliness.

Love this house...except the beds
Location is perfect. Plenty of space. Great house in every way...except for the beds. It’s time for new mattresses and pillows and linens. That’s the one thing that hotels get right, they change out their beds at regular intervals. I would recommend the Perfect Cloud Elegance 12 inch memory foam mattress on Amazon. We use these in our guest rooms and they get compliments every time.

Nice house, great location
Large house with good layout for privacy, including multiple seating areas which really helped our group feel comfortable. Easy walk or bike ride to the beach even with multiple children under 8 years old. Would stay again.

5-star with minor caveat
Lots of very positive things about this very beautiful home. Bedrooms were all very roomy (especially the master) - and the bathrooms all nice. They offer bars of soap, hotel sized shampoo, conditioner in case you need some to tide you over. Most sinks had liquid hand soap as well, which during COVID-19 we came equipped in case none provided. The beds were all comfortable and they offer nice bedding and pillows - and nice towels in each bathroom.
We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch and the chairs/sofas were comfortable for morning coffee or evening chatting. With the Kiawah weather they look a little worn but hard to keep all fresh year round in the Carolina heat, humidity. There was a large stock of games for evening fun. The kitchen is the center of the house and reasonably stocked. It was really nice to have a full set of spices available for use. Other renters had left behind some olive oil, salt, pepper, coffee filters, etc. so that was a plus as well. We rented towards the end of the summer, so the cabinets were a little disorganized - and were missing sauce pans (other than a really tiny one) and a large fry pan (or 2) to accommodate the large number of people that this house can hold. Also - no steamer - so if you plan to get fresh-off-the-boat shrimp to steam (and you should), you’ll need to improvise with collander and larger stock pot.
The home does back up to the #4 tee of Turtle Point golf course - so early morning mowing and blowing (say 7:30-8am’ish every day) did disturb the peace on the porch and those that like to “sleep in” on vacation.
The walk to the beach was only 6 minutes - nice walk over a pond to look for the alligators, shaded through the trees. Even faster bike ride if you prefer. Plenty of bike racks at the entrance to the boardwalk to the beach.
We did have issues with the back porch door locks throughout our stay - likely an issue that needs repair/replacement. But ... Vacasa was very responsive to the few issues we had - a pleasure to deal with. We never did get the garage door code to work, which would have made storing bikes and in/out easier, but that wasn’t a huge deal.
Overall - a “highly recommend” rating from us. This is our 7th or 8th time to Kiawah - and definitely a nice house.
