Staying here is a must!

Having stayed in almost all of the popular hostels in Udaipur, I can surely say this one has the best vibe and the best facilities one could ask for! Karaoke nights, a variety of card games(poker😍), carrom board, AC in common space, TV with Netflix/Amazon/Disney subscription is what makes the place stand out from other hostels. Also their 10 bed dorm is really spacious, beds are comfortable, powerful AC, curtains on every bed for privacy, clean washroom!

Nothing as such, just a small suggestion maybe include a few more spots in the sunrise tour to make it worthwhile and longer probably!

Super hospitality,the front desk managers were 👌. They answer any question i asked,& suggested a lot of things.They even got my laundry done very early as per request. Could stay in the common area(that was great too) even after checkout,as my travel plans were in the evening,they are cool with it. Room was good,spacious,washroom super good. Only the bed length was less for me,& also the pillow was small. Roof was great as expected. Location was too good👌,saved me a lot of time & money tbh. Recommending anyone travelling

That rooftop is amazing. Very friendly vibe up there. Staff are fantastic too. Also: dependable hot water in the shower in a hostel dorm room! (Like, what??! 😁)

A small thing: Top bunks could have a larger shelf please!

Clean rooms and size of room is big

They have given 3rd floor room and there was no one to pick luggages and as it is Haveli steps are steep and no elevator. Lady was rude while answering this , need to improve on this And there is no parking facility here and u have to park somewhere and come here .. Atleast they can keep some house keeper who can carry luggages we came from Bangalore with so much of stuff

Comfortable stay

Location is great. Its close to the ghats, City palace etc. The check- in was smooth and the rooms were clean. They have a nice and spacious rooftop area and lovely views. The colours chosen are very vibrant. Host Ashish was quite friendly and interactive. There was no dull moment. He also took us to some popular spots early morning and suggested local eateries. Overall we had a comfortable stay.

The 4 bed dormitory was little cramped. Also the storage area was only 1 for 2 beds. I feel the price charged for the Sunrise tour was a bit high. Also, their pre payment policy in order to confirm the booking before the free cancellation period was something which i didn't like.

Superb staff, clean, cozy, highly recommended.

Very clean. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The morning tour was also a gem. We spent some time at the rooftop and enjoyed the lake view and peaceful atmosphere, and that was amazing. Located in a deep street but very convenient to get to the tourist spots by walk. It'll be my top choice if I come back to Udaipur. And it might happen because it's my favorite city on my trip.

The blanket in the dorms made my skin slightly itchy, but the blanket in the private room was great.

The perfect hostel experience!

Everything is perfect. From the seamless check-in process to the amazing team that manages this place. Rutu, Ashish, Mandeep and the rest of the team are running a superb hostel. They arguably have one of Udaipur's best locations and rooftop views. My go-to spot in Udaipur from now. Big shoutout to Rutu and Ashish. Thanks for a great stay. Will be back soon.

Great location, amazing views.

I loved the location. Also, the decor in the common area was lovely. Room was comfy with all time hot water for shower.

Nothing in specific. Didn't find kitchenette which is usually there in the backpacker hostels.

perfekt Hostel experience

Perfect location close to the lake, Tempel and city palace. very nice dorm rooms with curtains and comfy beds. free drinking water available and the staff was super friendly. the rooftop cafe is a great place to relax and the food is also great.

Superb

An amazing place to stay in Udaipur. Fantastic rooftop view and really nice café on it. Great place to see the sunset. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Beds comfortable. Easy to reach and in the heart of Udaipur. Perfect place for solo travellers who can meet each other on the rooftop and mingle around. Definitely a place I would recommend.

I asked for help to get a TukTuk in the morning. They said they will help to get one (cause of course it's cheaper for locals) but I ended up to get one on my own and paid an insane price which I have never paid anywhere else in India for such a short ride to the train station.

The hostel is perfectly located and had a very nice restaurant. Definitely one of the best views in town from the terrace The room was spacious and bed comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful

Unfortunately we found our room a bit dirty: there was quite some dust in several places if the room including the bedhead, nightstand and few corners. The walls of the bathroom had also some mold in some places.

It was an amazing time at Hostel Mantra. It is perfectly located near the Gangour Ghat, at a walking distance from places like Bagore ki Haveli, City Palace, Ambrai Ghat. Bhushan and Rhutu are great hosts and had the best recommendations of places to visit and things to do nearby. The WiFi at the hostel is really good; you can stream 4k videos easily at that speed. You wouldn't have any problem if you are looking to work during your visit to Udaipur. They also ensure cleanliness of the dorms and the common area on a daily basis. Their cafe is really good and serves some amazing food. Do try their fried chicken fingers and egg muffin ;) The rooftop had a great vibe. It is perfect for backpackers/digital nomads. I ended up meeting some amazing people there. Overall the stay exceeded my expectations.

Nothing much really that I did not like. Just that they do not have an elevator, so book the hostel only if you are fine with climbing stairs.

First solo trip made memorable thanks to Mantra

The property is beautiful like a haveli and the ambience on the rooftop is amazing. It was always alive on the rooftop and to top it up the view from there is simply mesmerizing. The cafe has some decent food. Loved the Bombay sandwich there. Rooms were clean and the hygiene was always maintained around the property. Owners Ashish and Bhushan were always involved with the guests and ready to assist with anything anytime. There were game night, karaoke night, movie screening and much more. Met a lot of solo travellers from across India and the world. Overall this was a good start to my solo journey ahead.

I don’t use to come with statements- but it’s surely the best hostel I’ve stayed at!

the staff is just the most nice, welcoming, friendly you could find. Ashish and Bhushan, and Sreeya (that stayed here for long time and volunteered). Room is really comfortable and big (female dorms), rooftop is spectacular. I felt back home with old friends even though I just stayed for 4 days. Grateful for this experience !

My initial plan was for a week and I ended up staying 3 weeks at Hostel Mantra- think that says it all!

It’s a beautiful, well maintained property. The staff are helpful and lovely to hangout with. My favorite part of staying at Hostel Mantra was spending my evenings at the rooftop/ cafe watching the sunset.

One of the best Hostel of Udaipur with probably the best hosts

The hosts and the Hostel administration was super friendly. They made sure everyone was included in the evening chill scenes and was not left alone. The interior was so aesthetically pleasing, just like royal Udaipur stay. You could actually see the lake from the roof at anytime.
