How was nice. Dock needed some TLC, boards seem old and weak. The zipties all along the edges makes a person uneasy like it is going to fall apart at any time. The fish cleaning station was okay but a different top would make cleaning fish and the top easier. A light mounted over thr top of the fish cleaning areas would have helped a lot. Only other comment is that i understand you need to have rules and guidelines but some of the rules lseem very strict and odd.

Exceptional property, especially if you’re in the area for fishing or recreational boating activities on Lake Vermillion. The home is perfectly equipped for said activities and immediately next to a public boat landing. Northern MN perfection!

The cabin was set up with everything we needed, and then some things! They really thought of everything! Couldn't have asked for a better set up for our family get together!

We really enjoyed our long weekend right on the water!

We were very happy with the location, cleanliness, and amenities. After we arrived and noticed the grill was missing, a short message to the host was all it took for the grill to be available later that day. We would say here again.

Great place to stay when fishing lake vermilion. Place is located right by the boat launch.

The property and house were both beautiful and we loved our stay here
The hosts were easy to get ahold of and check in was easy
You are right next to a boat launch so I did hear boat traffic really early in the morning but that was bad
Kitchen is stocked with everything we needed to cook
The only drawbacks for me were the stairs to enter the home with a 2 year old wasn’t ideal
And the water pressure for showers wasn’t great hit the showers themselves were very nice
We’d definitely stay here again

We used Grandpa's Cabin as a home base to explore the area. The cabin is beautifully remolded inside. It was extremely warm outside reaching the mid 90's and the air conditioning inside worked perfectly. The bay is weedy in front of the cabin but we paddled out a little ways and swam off our paddle boards. The water was perfect. There is a public boat ramp right next to the property which would be perfect if you brought your own boat. Only draw back was the main entrance was up a large flight of stairs. The deck provided a nice place to hang out as well did the chairs around the fire pit. I would definitely recommend this property.

We had to cancel a trip to the mountains at the last minute due to a bad hip. We found this cabin and it looked just right. It was an easy drive from the Twin Cities and getting into the cabin was easy. The lights were a little confusing at first, but we figured it out. The kitchen was well equipped for our stay but will need more coffee mugs for a larger group. The grill worked great and we took out the canoe every day to explore the coves and inlets in the area. The beds were comfortable but more lights in the bedroom would be helpful. Our hostess, Laura, made sure we were okay and was easily available to answer questions. We’d come again.
