Zizi Homestay is a photographer's dream. The stunning natural surroundings, and traditional Hmong clothing create a visual feast for photographers. Every corner offers a photo-worthy moment, making it a convenient location for capturing the essence of Sapa.
Although the hosts are welcoming, language barriers can sometimes lead to communication challenges. Travelers who don't speak Vietnamese or English may need to rely on translation apps or basic language skills.

Tourists with an appreciation for the great outdoors will be captivated by the serene landscapes and the opportunity to explore the surrounding nature through guided treks or independent hikes. The combination of traditional architecture and the breathtaking natural setting creates a picturesque and photogenic experience.
In high seasons, Zizi homestay cIt could be more crowded, so the check-in time was interrupted slightly. However, the quality of service makes us quite satisfied.

Zizi Homestay offers a unique architectural experience. The traditional Hmong wooden houses, with their distinctive designs and construction methods, provide a glimpse into the indigenous architecture of the region. Travelers with an architectural interest will appreciate the simplicity and functionality of these structures, which have been adapted to the local climate and way of life.
Traditional Hmong houses often have thin walls, which means that noise from neighboring rooms or common areas can be more audible. This might impact the quality of rest and sleep for some guests.

Sapa, a place of natural wonders, also revealed itself as a culinary extravaganza, and Zizi homestay was the stage for these delightful culinary performances. The moment we arrived, our senses were captivated by the inviting scents wafting from the kitchen. Each meal was a masterpiece, a celebration of the diverse flavors of the region. From the comforting warmth of pho to the crisp perfection of spring rolls, every dish told a story of Sapa's rich culinary heritage. To provide a balanced perspective, we did notice occasional variations in service speed in the dining area. However, the quality of the cuisine more than compensated for any minor delays. Breakfasts were a daily highlight, with banh mi sandwiches and an array of fresh tropical fruits giving us the perfect start to our days.

Sapa's serene beauty is a gift, and Zizi homestay was the perfect vantage point to soak it all in. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the picturesque views that surrounded us. The terraced rice fields, enveloped in a sea of green, seemed to cascade down the mountains like nature's own staircase. Mornings were a treat as we woke up to the gentle chirping of birds and the sight of mist slowly lifting to reveal the valley below. Evenings offered a different charm, with the setting sun casting a warm glow over the landscape. In all honesty, we did encounter occasional variations in water pressure. However, these minor inconveniences were a small price to pay for the privilege of being immersed in such breathtaking natural beauty.

Sapa unfolded before us as a culinary paradise, and Zizi homestay was the gateway to this epicurean wonderland. From the very first bite, we embarked on a remarkable culinary adventure. Each dish was a celebration of flavors, a journey through the diverse tastes of the region. In all fairness, we did notice occasional variations in portion sizes. Some meals were heartier than others, but this allowed us to savor a wider array of dishes and flavors. Whether it was the comforting warmth of pho that hugged our taste buds or the crispy symphony of spring rolls that danced on our palates, every meal was a work of art.

Zizi Homestay serves delicious local cuisine made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Guests can savor traditional Vietnamese dishes and gain insights into the culinary customs of the Hmong people.

The Zizi homestay, surrounded by lush meadows and distant mountains, provided a tranquil and idyllic setting. The hosts were incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring that our stay was nothing short of perfect. The guided treks through the nearby landscapes were a refreshing way to explore the beauty of Sapa. The rooms were cozy and thoughtfully designed, providing a comfortable retreat after our outdoor adventures. The home-cooked meals were a delightful journey into Vietnamese flavors, leaving us with lasting memories of each dish. While our overall experience was fantastic, we did encounter a minor inconvenience with occasional power outages during our stay. However, the hosts handled it with grace and provided us with ample lighting. The Wi-Fi connection could also be limited due to the natural surroundings, but it allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the peace and quiet of Sapa. These minor hiccups were easily overshadowed by the warm hospitality and the serene experiences at Zizi Homestay. That was a blissful experience that filled our hearts with gratitude!

Our stay at the Zizi homestay was beyond incredible! The buffalo trek and home trek were unforgettable experiences, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the stunning landscapes and local culture. The location was perfect for outdoor activities, and the all-inclusive private service made us feel like VIP guests. The panoramic view from our room was absolutely breathtaking, and we loved waking up to the beauty of nature every morning. The staff's warm hospitality and the delicious traditional meals added to the charm of our stay. If we had to mention a tiny concern, it would be that the walls were thin due to the authentic wooden house, but it didn't detract from the overall fantastic experience we had at this homestay! The only slight issue we encountered was that the receptionist at times could be a bit slow due to a long queue of guests checking in. However, this minor inconvenience was quickly forgotten once we saw the breathtaking views and experienced the heartwarming hospitality of the staff.

The staff at Zizi were exceptionally warm and hospitable, making us feel like part of their family. The buffalo trek was an absolute delight, and we enjoyed learning about the local culture and traditions. The cozy rooms and traditional meals were comforting and delicious. The bonfire nights under the starry sky were magical, and we shared laughter and stories that brought us even closer together. My friends and I had an absolutely fantastic time at Zizi homestay in Sapa! The location amidst the lush greenery and rice terraces was simply breathtaking. The staff at Zizi were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The fun began with a thrilling buffalo trek, where we got to interact with these gentle creatures and experience the local culture. The homestay itself was cozy and charming, providing us with a comfortable and authentic experience. The highlight was sitting around the bonfire in the evening, sharing stories and laughter. Our stay at Zizi homestay was filled with joy, adventure, and cherished memories that we will treasure forever! If we had to find a tiny complaint, it would be that the Wi-Fi signal was a bit weak at times. However, being disconnected from our devices actually allowed us to bond even more with each other and appreciate the beauty of nature.

In the mystical realm of Sapa, where mountains soar to touch the heavens and whispers of ancient stories echo through the valleys, lies a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. Welcome to The Hidden Pathways of Muong Hoa, a captivating expedition that takes you on a remarkable journey through untamed wilderness, revealing the secrets of nature's tapestry and leaving you breathless with its sheer beauty.
As an intrepid adventurer seeking the extraordinary, The Hidden Pathways of Muong Hoa called out to me with an irresistible allure—a promise of uncharted trails, mesmerizing vistas, and encounters with the raw essence of nature. Little did I know that this expedition would unlock a world of wonder, where time slows down and every step reveals a new facet of Sapa's enchantment.
From the very first moment I stepped onto the trail, a sense of anticipation tingled in the air, as if the forest itself held its breath, ready to share its hidden treasures with those who dared to wander. The Hidden Pathways of Muong Hoa became my gateway to a realm where silence spoke volumes, where sunlight filtered through the dense canopy, and where the symphony of nature unfolded in harmonious melodies.
The allure of The Hidden Pathways of Muong Hoa lies not only in its rugged beauty but also in the profound connection it fosters between the curious traveler and the wilderness that envelops them. As I ventured deeper into the untamed landscapes, ancient trees whispered tales of resilience, while wildflowers painted the forest floor with vibrant hues. It was as if I had entered a portal to a world untouched by time, where nature reigned supreme and revealed its secrets to those who sought its embrace.
The trail led me through a breathtaking symphony of sights and sounds. Majestic waterfalls cascaded down moss-covered cliffs, their gentle roar echoing through the valleys, while crystal-clear streams meandered through ancient rock formations.

Don't miss staying at Zizi's place if you are near Sapa! The views are amazing. She is a great host and her kids love to interact with the travelers. She cooked us a delicious, authentic Vietnamese dinner. We were able to watch people and water buffalo work the rice paddies right from the table and chairs on her property. And it's very affordable. I am very glad that I chose to stay here over the town of Sapa. Zizi speaks great English, communicates in a timely manner, and even sent a cab to pick us up in Sapa and deliver us to her homestay (for a very fair price). Also, if you are hiking Fansipan, she offers tours cheaper than any company in town. Loved it!

Zizi was very helpful in organizing our Sapa trekking tour and was very responsive in response to any questions we had checked in details. Unfortunately we never met Zizi during our stay as there was a wedding taking place at the homestay to which staff were also attending to. The homestay is in a great location after trekking. Amenities are simple, with a shared shower and toilet and it was quite cold at night due to the season (November).

We booked a 2 days 1 night trip to Sapa for village trekking. They trek was amazing, the guide Ta May was super positive and informational, the homestay was excellent ( big meal, lots of rice wine, and soothing herbal bath). The tour also included lunch at a local restaurant with beautiful views, a chance to explore the cave system in Taphin and ended with a relaxing soak at the Red Dao Sapa in Taphin. On our last day she took us on a 9km hike to the red Dao village of Ta Phin, making sure we were dropped off at the highest point so my walk was all downhill and achievable, and later showed as round Sapa itself. The view of the rice terraces and valley was breath - taking, though I can imagine it would be even more beautiful during the harvest season in Sep. It is a must see especially for those who live and grew up in a city like myself. This was incredible.
The house is quite basic but the view is awsome

I wish I could give six stars to this experience. If you want to trek in Sapa, definitely choose Zizi's experience. Se gave us specific instructions on how to get to the meeting place and answered all of our questions. Zizi took us off the touristy path and showed a lot of places that we would never find on our own. She is very knowledgeable and told us a lot about the area we were trekking through and also answered all of our questions. The valley and the mountains in Sapa are breathtaking, we enjoyed every minute of this experience. The trek itself, which named the Buffalo trek, is a good exercise, wear good shoes, apply sunscreen. If you are choosing between one day and two day/ one night experience, I would highly recommend two day/one night option, as you have an opportunity to stay in the local house and enjoy dinner with the family. The dinner itself was delicious; amenities in the house were top notch, great shower and nice views from the balcony. We really enjoyed trekking with Zizi and will recommend her experience to all our friends travelling to Vietnam.

The man that works there is Very kind, helpful he was Very willing. I exchanged with Zizi only few words, she seemed nice. The Walls have space underneath them so if you sleep downstairs you hear every dog and animal At night which might wake you up but we didnt mind much bc we only Stayed for 3 nights. And the views are breathtaking and awesome!
We did book a Trekking tour there and it was good i would reccomend it. Just beware some women on the way will probably join you and walk with you and then expect you will buy something from them.

I am so glad that I was able to do this Home trek with Zizi! We did the hike one-on-one which was great because I was able to go at my own pace! The view was breath-taking and I loved learning about Zizi’s culture up-close. I will truly never forget the connection that we built and the fun times we had at the homestay!
I loved seeing Zizi’s passion for what he does and he’s one of the first to do these tours in Sapa! I would definitely recommend to wear good trekking shoes, I wore sneakers and slipped a few times!

Zizi's was amazing! Authentic experience in the mountains of Sapa. Dogs, pigs, water buffalo, chickens and children running around. It is along a path villagers use to access the road so new people and animals are always walking by. The host family made us feel amazing by helping us books everything from a taxi to climbing Mount Fansipan! Can’t stop recommend this homestay! And Sometimes they have big cashback promotion. Should contact them on Whatsapp, it’s very fast.

Zizi was an amazing tour guide! She was very kind and knowledgable-we felt safe with Zizi. For example, one of our members starting to throw up during the trek and unfortunately was unable to continue. Kindly, Zizi organized for a taxi to take this member back to the homestay where they could rest.
The homestay accommodation was gorgeous and is actually one of the few ran by locals. The view from the room was amazing-rice field upon rice field. The beds were extremely comfortable and we were provided with mosquito nets. The food was incredible, some of the best we’ve eaten in Vietnam (so fresh). The trek itself was great too got to see a lot of ethnic minority villages and on the second day walk through a bamboo forest and to a waterfall. We felt the trek was perhaps slightly of a more advanced level than we originally thought. We (three 21 year old students) found it quite challenging at times and there was not a lot of smooth paths to walk on. We feel this is important to mention as older people or people with perhaps sustained i juried may find this difficult! However, the treks were so worth it for the views.

Never a dull moment at Zizi's! Being a rustic and quiet abode, this has been the most enjoyable homestay I've gone to so far - from the familiar comforts of home Zizi's accomodation provides to the hospitable nature and service of her family members.
I was particularly impressed by the sumptuous breakfast - do look out for the pancakes with banana option on the morning breakfast menu - and furthermore, the endearing tone she speaks in to her guests. From what I gather, Zizi's homestay has been around for a while now and her business supports the immediate surrounding village people who provide decent guided tours to the Sapa valley and a tranquil bamboo trail hike, even a full-fledged serious Fansipan Mt. hike can be embarked from her humble abode.
Nothing but good things to say - although, don't come expecting the modern comforts of a first-world hotel or hostel, and you'll be surprised how the simplest of things can make it all the more enjoyable. Perfect for single travellers (which I had several late night conversations over playing cards with), couples on the road, and even families with young children (Zizi's children are of comparable age 5-13ish). Please do chat with them on the Airbnb messaging system before booking to clarify any further information you'd like to, it helped for us too. Overall, great experience, and thank you, Zizi and her family

Peace and serenity is what you’ll find at Zizi homestay. It’s a bacis accommodation but full of service. The homestay is socialize style, which mean you can meet and make friends with a lot of people traveling around the world. And it’s very fun!
Since the first time we saw the photos, we decided this is the place we must stay in Sapa. And it was amazing, even much more beautiful than in the photos and beyond our expectation. The views are beautiful, you are right next to the river and waterfall. The hosts, Lily , is very helpful and helped us to arrange our sleeper bus to Sa Pa. There will be kids from the village around, we brought them candy and chocolates and they were very pleased. The bed is comfy, room is clean, wifi was great and a bathroom with warm shower. We had the most memorable time in this beautiful place! The food was awesome! Everything was so yummy and they grew most of the ingredients and vegetables themselves! Thanks to Lily for the very warm hospitality...making us feel like home all the time."

Highly recommended to stay at Zi zi's if you want to run away from touristy and loud Sa pa. Staff is extremely nice and they help you to arrange everything - I traveled with my mum and we had bus tickets arranged to go from Hanoi to Sa Pa and then from Sa Pa to Cat Ba. We booked the trekking as well and it was beautiful, as well as family dinner cooked in the homestay - delicious! Rooms are modest, but very clean. Great experience, we loved it!

Zizi’s the Hometrek is probably one of the best experiences I've done in Viet Nam. Zizi is a welcoming & friendly host. She picked us up from our hotel and offered customisations throughout the experience as we needed. she shared interesting insights about life in the villages, people from the different Sapa tribes and their ways of living. we visited her beautiful house and ate an excellent home cooked vegetarian meal and ended with rice wine. for me this experience was like a cultural immersion into the life of lao cai residents, one that will stay with me forever. highly recommend Zizi, she's amazing!

Lovely location in Sa Pa. We had booked a private room for 4. The staff is extremely helpful. Lily made sure we were comfortable and even went the extra mile with helping us getting our bus bookings changed with the local operator. We did the bamboo trek with the property, which was an enjoyable experience. They also helped arranging cabs to and fro Sa Pa town.
The washroom was clean, but is adjacent to the room with a small gap on top, hence not completely private.
Also, the homestay is located on a hill. We arrived at 1:20AM and had to do a short 5 minute trek with all our luggage with no lights.

We had a wonderful stay at Zizi’s home stay. It’s a bacis accommodation but full of service. The homestay is socialize style, which mean you can meet and make friends with a lot of people traveling around the world. It is a gorgeous location and the family we spent time with was wonderful. The dinners were great, so we payed to eat them each night. and we see the water buffalo and other animals every morning in front of the house. We stayed in a private room with wonderful views from the balcony. All the meals were very good. Zizi is a great person, she's friendly and helpful all the time. Our bed was very comfortable and a bathroom with warm shower. That was an incredible holiday with us.
If you are looking for a unique experience of Sapa, we recommend you take the trekking and indigo beeswax drawing (handicraft tour). We must say that it was the best experience we've ever tried. Air is fresh and the food was the best we tried in Sapa. I recommend staying here at least 3 nights!
nothing :)
