About this house rental
Newly completed, full renovation of the cutest beach cottage you'll find anywhere! Pretty and pink on the outside, coastal, bright and fresh on the inside. Professionally designed and decorated home located just steps from the sand. Location, location, location! A stone's throw to the beach or 10 mins walk to restaurants, bars and shopping. Bright and airy, brand new appliances and furniture.
Bathed in warm, tropical earth tones, this home features beautiful new floors throughout the living areas, restored original terra cotta tile and high-end custom tile in the bathroom. Brand new stainless steel appliances. Beautiful quartz countertops. Richly landscaped and breezy shaded outdoor sitting area extend the liveability of this adorable cottage.
This is widely regarded as the best street on the island, with nightly sunset gatherings with our full-time resident neighbors and other guests. You'll never want to leave! All are welcomed to join "Wednesdays on Wilhelm!" A beloved and well-known tradition on the island, all are welcome to BYOB and a favorite dish to share at this fun beach party - every Wednesday during the winter months. Grab you flip flops and beach chair and meet other guests and residents at sunset. Good vibes all around!
Kick back, chill out and grill. All you need is food, drinks and your bathing suit. We’re not kidding, we have it all. Enjoy the most beautiful and undiscovered beach in Florida. We offer high speed internet, SmartTV (cable TV also included), chairs and umbrellas so make yourself at home.
If you're wild about nature, you will love the quick stroll to Stump Pass Park. There are 265 acres of sandy trails, boating and miles of pristine beaches. The wildlife is amazing. Artists and sun worshippers aren’t the only species drawn to our little island. Our breathtaking beach is also popular with wildlife and ecotourists. It isn’t unusual to be joined by a heron on your walk, see a pelican fishing as you throw out your line, or perhaps you’ll come across a dolphin at play while kayaking the blue waters. Take a walk on the wild side and watch the sea turtle nests come alive with hatchlings May 1 to October 31.
Another fun amenity for the island is the "Stumpy Bus", a volunteer-run free shuttle in the form of a decorated 8-seat golf cart. Grab a cocktail and hop on board to most of the bars/restaurants on the island. They work for tips so bring some cash to share the love!
Finding fossilized sharks teeth is a favorite find of beach walkers and you will find many among the mounds of shells. Snorkel in the crystal clear water for sand dollars and everything tropical. Put up your umbrella because there’s lots of room. We’re just far enough from the public beach that you can enjoy the sunsets undisturbed but close enough (7 mins walk) to the snack bar, basketball hoops and volleyball amenities at the public beach should you decide to venture outside your private beach bubble.
For all you fishing enthusiasts, the area is the second largest marine estuary in the state. You will find hundreds of species in our waters. Nearby Boca Grand is the official “Tarpon Capital of the World”. The area has dozens of boat ramps so bring your boat. We have plenty of room to park. (Local boat rentals are also available through local businesses.)
In addition to being renowned for its fishing, Boca Grande is widley regarded as the most exclusive coastal enclave in Florida and you'll marvel at the historic and famous Gasparilla Inn. Great shopping and restaurants. Keep your eyes open for celebrities, who regularly vacation here. Take a 20 minute drive to a different world! Rent a golf cart while you're there and drive down Banyon Street, one of the most famous streets in Florida.

One of best beach stays in a long time. Super clean and practically on the beach. Will be back.

The cottage was just as described. The kitchen was in great condition and clean, and had everything we needed. It was perfect for me and my two kids (ages 8 & 12) to have a laid back week away. The walk to the beach was quick and easy, and there were only a few other families around so we had plenty of room to dig in the sand and hunt for shark teeth. Lynda was friendly and easy to communicate with, and responded quickly whenever I had a question. We would definitely recommend for a cozy getaway!

My kids and I had the best stay we have ever had on Manasota Key at this rental. It was so clean and newly done. We felt instantly relaxed. Steps away from the beach and overall just perfect. We can not wait to come back to stay here!

This cottage was perfect in every way. Steps to the beach, newly remodeled and was super clean. The kitchen was well stocked with higher end basics and not just whatever could be found at the cheapest price. The master bed was firm and very comfortable. The supplied linens were soft and good quality. There was plenty of extra blankets for cooler temperatures. If you are traveling with a pet, there isn't any grass, but that didn't effect us. That said the landscaping is still very pretty. Plenty of parking for larger or multiple vehicles as well. There were two beach chairs and two umbrellas at the property which would be great if you are flying in and couldn't pack yours. Overall, this was our best stay we've had at a VRBO and we will be visiting again.

Everything was Great! Literally steps to the beach! My family has been coming here to Englewood Beach for our 68th year family reunion, and this particular street/area is classic Old Florida, but with modern twist in style and function in this beach cottage!

What a wonderful little cottage! We enjoyed our stay immensely and can’t wait to return! The layout is great, the place is comfy and cozy and tastefully furnished and decorated. The outdoor seating area is a perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee or two! We enjoyed many walks on the beach and found quite a few shark’s teeth. Wish we could live there full-time!

Not sure what the history of this house is, but its modest exterior belies the modern, upscale (yet dog-friendly) interior. And the location is AMAZING—literally 60 seconds to the beautiful beach. The house was very clean & the kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few meals (plus a new gas grill right off the kitchen door). There are a couple of fun outdoor/tiki bar type restaurants (with live music) within a 10 minute walk and there is a nature preserve (state park ?) a 10 minute walk the opposite direction. We didn’t make it to the park because we were too busy enjoying the Adirondack chairs on the landscaped front patio and sunsets on the beach. The host was easy to communicate with, and super responsive when we couldn’t figure out how to make the refrigerator ice dispenser work (it was us, not the refrigerator!). The beds were comfy, the hot water abundant, and the appliances looked brand new—everything looked new, in fact. Anyway, we loved our stay and will definitely book again.

Photos are great but staying there in real life is amazing! Wish there was a score higher than 10 out of ten! Literally a couple steps to the gorgeous white sand beach (and back) - everything is on the first floor - no walking up stairs! Outdoor space was dreamy and a wonderful place to relax in mornings and evenings. We will most definitely be back. Thanks to the owners for sharing this beautiful property.
