Please read our Pet-Friendly Pet Policy carefully!
Zen Zion Pet-Friendly Policy:
We love dogs! We want to welcome your dogs, but in order to continue to do so, we need to convince neighbors and future guests that our pet policy will not impact them negatively. We are sorry, but we are unable to accommodate cats or other pets besides dogs. Please be considerate and follow the pet-friendly policy below, so we can continue to welcome dogs onsight.
What is Zen Zion's Pet-Friendly Policy? We have a $75 per dog pet fee. No more than 2 dogs per unit, or maximum of 6 if renting the entire property (5 units). This is to pay for extra cleaning and provide for addional pet accommodations. There is a $500 AUTOMATIC CHARGE for every undisclosed pet in any unit.
My dog is perfect, why do you need a pet policy? We love dogs. The majority of our pet-bringing guests are fine, but there are occasionally issues, such as:
a) not declaring all pets or announcing after they arrive.
b) roaming dogs are upsetting our neighbors, especially when they do their business on someone else's property.
c) leaving dogs unattended in the home, barking, and scratching at doors.
d) not de-fleaing pets ahead of time, leaving us unrentable homes for several days.
e) allowing dogs that shed to sit on furniture or beds (please bring your own pet blankets).
f) not picking up after pets around property
What do you charge for pet damage? We charge a $200 fee for any damage caused to furniture by dogs.
Are there leash laws in the areas? Yes. Please keep pets on leashes at all times. Be aware that many of the national parks and trails do not allow pets and the police will give tickets for loose pets. You may not leave your pet alone in a unit. We are not a kennel service. We allow pets so you can keep your companions with you. If you leave the property for activities, take your pet with you.
Do I need to clean up after my pet? Yes. Please clean up after your pets, especially in the yard, on paths, and in common areas.
Do I need to de-flea my dog? You must treat all pets for fleas and ticks before arrival. If we find fleas/ticks after departure, a $500 fee will be assessed, in addition to any lost rental income as we de-flea the house. Please treat your dogs for fleas well before your arrival.
Do you allow dogs on furniture? This is only allowed if the dog owner brings their own blanket for the dog to sit or rest on. Otherwise, no pets on furniture without unique pet covers. If there is dog hair or damages (urine, scratches, etc.) found, you will be assessed an additional cleaning or replacement fee at a minimum of $200.
Are you really pet friendly--this list in long? Yes. We love dogs, and 99% of dog owners are incredibly responsible with no incidents. The 1%, however, may ruin our pet friendly policy for everyone. The fines and fees are help keep our units open to conscientious dog owners, and deter the careless ones.
