We enjoyed our stay at 5 Hillcroft Road! Think grandma and grandpa’s Maine cabin - rustic, quaint, and spacious home nestled in the hillside neighborhood just above Boothbay Harbor.
The main town of Boothbay is 5 minutes away, so plenty of restaurants and shopping to easily explore! We took several day trips - Portland, Pemaquid, Camden, and the breathtaking botanical gardens…. And somehow we always managed to start and/or end our trips shopping in Boothbay Harbor - we could have stayed another week to properly explore them all!
Back to Hillcroft - many rooms to spread out in - well stocked, cute kitchen; separate dining area with a large table in a converted porch room with a washer and dryer; comfy family room to play games and watch tv, with plenty of streaming services to binge on.
Plenty of places to lay your head at night - downstairs bedroom with a queen bed, upstairs very spacious loft with a queen bed, 2 twin beds and a futon couch; and a separate bedroom with a queen bed and 1 twin bed next to the loft. Newly remodeled full bathroom and a second shower and toilet downstairs; half bathroom in the loft for our upstairs sleepers.
The yard is massive, with a nice deck to hang out on. We enjoyed walks every night around the beautiful neighborhood that surrounded this home away from home.
Sherrie, the owner, is super nice and answered all my questions before we arrived, so I never needed to reach out during our stay!

The cottage is perfectly situated in Boothbay Harbor, and a great stay for the full family (including the pup!). Aside from venturing out for hiking or a grocery store run, we left the car behind every day. It is a short walk into town, or a nice stroll to Barrett's Park where you can swim on warmer days. The house is well stocked, the beds were very comfortable, and there are several areas to relax and unwind after an adventurous day. On top of that, Sherry is a wonderful, communicative host and we look forward to our next stay!
