Heron consists of a studio-style living with double bed and open-plan living space with kitchen, dining area, and sitting area. Amenities include a gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dining space. There is a shower room with walk-in shower, basin, and WC. Outside there is an enclosed rear veranda with furniture, plus off-road parking for two cars. Within 3.2 miles you will find a shop and a pub, and please note this is a smoke-free and pet-free property. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels included in the rent. The small community is served by a service station with a shop, along with a good pub serving food. There are plenty of picturesque walks and cycling routes available, and the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Black Mountains are within easy driving distance as well as the incredibly scenic Elan and Wye Valleys. A popular attraction is the red kite feeding station at Rhayader, just under half an hour’s drive away, which has greatly improved the number of these beautiful birds, which can be regularly seen winging on high overhead. All year round you can enjoy the various fairs and events at nearby Builth Wells and Llanwrtyd Wells including the Royal Welsh Show, antiques and craft fairs and the unusual challenge of the Man v Horse Marathon. A truly remarkable area of Mid Wales, and a memorable place from which to enjoy outdoor adventure in the beautiful surrounding scenery.
