Magnifique séjour en un lieu magique, entre jungle et ses ''habitants'' et ville / plages à proximit

Pour nos derniers jours dans ce pays magnifique et dépaysant, nous avons passé 4 nuits dans cette pension de famille adorable , nichée entre la jungle et la ville de Galle...! Très pratique pour visiter le Fort et les plages...notre séjour a été relaxant...!!!! la bienveillance et toutes les petites attentions du propriétaire Asanga nous ont confirmé que nous ne nous étions pas trompés sur notre choix...! Asanga est de plus un excellent cuisinier qui nous a régalés...! Merci à vous, heureux propriétaires de ce lieu magique de nous avoir offert une belle image de votre pays et de votre hospitalité...! Ayubowan... Ps : des bises fraiches de la France à vous tous, belle petite famille...!!!!

Un petit écrin de jungle paradisiaque !

Un écrin de jungle secret, où l'on peut observer différents oiseaux autour d'une très belle piscine. De jolies chambres, confortables et avec une décoration soignée. Un accueil familial et très chaleureux, on se sent comme à la maison!

Petit établissement assez isolé. Les chambres correspondaient au descriptifs meme si une seule des deux avait un frigo. Grande piscine.

L’hotel non si presenta come descritto, soprattutto per la posizione. Appurato che non era né in centro ne vicino al mar

La posizione non è come descritta, non si trova assolutamente in centro e vicino al mare. La struttura è nel bosco, lontana da ristoranti, bar, servizi e tutto ciò che può servire ad un turista. Anche il taxi ha trovato difficoltà nel percorrere la stradina stretta e nascosta che porta a Canaya Hotel. Lo staff terribile! Parlo dei proprietari, non inclini all’accoglienza, solo interessati al guadagno. Il bagno non pulito e con escrementi vicino al sapone.

Fint sted beliggende i naturen

God og hjælpsom vært og et dejligt værelse - eneste problem er at det ligger ret ufremkommeligt - jeg kom om aftenen efter et regnvejr og det gjorde det ikke bedre - fin pool og dejlige omgivelser

Enjoyable and accommodating experience

Everything about the stay, start to finish from the gate when I arrived was great, welcoming and empathetic of a very sweaty traveller haha. It's a lovely little operation by a very sweet couple, aesthetically pleasing dipping pool and I had a large room. They've just chipped out this little place in the jungle so it's a little rough, but I didn't mind as overall hospitality was really nice and genuine 😊 Help into Galle if U want it, fresh Buffalo curd in the morning, but U prepare meals there

Not much to say here; it was what it was and what it was, was good. I came out of season, and on late notice which they accommodated so graciously... so I would say they'd be a little better prepared if I wasnt such a blow-in, so it was all good Oh make sure U get the address right. It's a bit "in" from the main road by the beach, so don't walk with luggage haha. Doh!

Poor customer service

I would not know! I had a booking but when we rang to advise our arrival time we were told “closed for renovations”. We had to get other accommodation at the last minute. The property should have had the courtesy to advise us.

Unique property in the middle of the jungle. Surrounded by nature. Spotted several types of birds. Monkeys chipmunks. Lovely little pool. Big room with large bathroom . Owner cooked traditional cooking for breakfast and tea and showed me all the best places in his tuc tuc.

A villa with a very quiet atmosphere and friendly service

Canaya boutique villa is the best villa we have stayed in.It has a very quiet environment,an excellent pool and there is a beautiful beach next to the villa.The owner Mr. Asanga and the other person are very friendly. Their hospitality is excellent. They gave us a very delicious breakfast.Specially they allowed us to stay there for about 2 hours after the check out time. We are very thankful for that. Of course, they care more about guests than money. I highly recommend canaya boutique villa to everyone visiting Galle. We will definitely come back here.Best wishes♥️

All in all, Canaya served my purpose of stay and I'm happy that I booked it.

The purpose of my stay was to be able to attend a wedding very nearby. The room and accommodation of Canaya, while being average, served its purpose as a place to crash afterward. The villa was undergoing some renovations at the time. I can't really fault any lack, since times are hard in the tourism industry. End of the day, I enjoyed the quiet villa (I was the only guest), and the owner Asanga was very friendly and accommodating. I wish him and his family-run business the very best.

Cannot fault any lack of facilities, due to the current downfall in tourism in the country.

You must be there!

Super host!!! Gave me the best tips ever - where to take a dinner, must see places in the city and around, shown the best beaches nearby Galle and even take me with his friends to an excellent party place. Perfect garden with an excellent pool where you can chill after long day! This place was so cool that i decided to stay there couple of days more! And finally the best cocking class with host (prawns and calamari) - taste you must try it!!! PS. After almost one month in Sri Lanka the First local who did not tried to choke/deceive me!
