We have nothing but great things to say about this place. It was very clean and convenient to get to everything. One of the best things were the mattresses on all the beds. I’m going to try and order one for my home.

We highly recommend this property! It is exactly as advertised. We very much appreciated the attention to cleanliness - everything was spotless! This is a very comfortable place to stay - great location, great layout, peaceful surroundings, and very well appointed with everything you may need during your visit. We stayed with another couple, and it works out great to have one couple upstairs and one couple downstairs. We were very glad we stayed here instead of another rental that we were considering, which was closer to downtown. We liked having the quiet surroundings of this rental, and a very quick & easy drive to get to the restaurants & attractions downtown. We enjoyed hearing all of the pretty birds that chirped in the big oak trees overhead, and there was plenty of parking. The property management company (Evolve) did a great job with communication about the check-in / check-out process and it was all very easy. I never had to contact them during our visit, as nothing was needed. Don't hesitate to reserve this property - you will enjoy staying here!

Great place would stay there again. Felt like home

We enjoyed our stay @yellowhomesc. The home was exactly as listed and very comfortable. The location is within walking distance (1 mile) to downtown Beaufort. Overall the neighborhood was very quiet with the exception of the neighbor's dog barking our last night at the property. The front porch rocking chairs were a wonderful way to enjoy a cup of coffee and the beautiful late winter weather. The fenced back yard was perfect size for our dogs to enjoy some off leash yard time. We took advantage of the park pass and spent an afternoon at Hunting Island. The only suggestion we would have would be to have some cleaning supplies (Windex, extra paper towels etc ) on hand for visitor's use. Thank you for the use of your beautiful home!

House was very nice and as advertised. Good layout and furnishings for our group.
Located near emergency services, so expect some sirens and neighborhood dog barking.

A cute cottage located near Beaufort's charming downtown. One can stroll to town if desired. I recommend walking in the direction of town if heading out on a stroll; the houses are very attractive and historic nearer to town. We felt safe walking during the day (never ventured out at night). This route was also good for walking a pup. In February, the streets were not terribly busy so it was a pleasure to take leisurely strolls and chat with locals. Note: for dog walkers, there are MANY barking, overly interested dogs kept in yards in the area BUT fortunately they remained within their fences when we passed by. Having a fenced in back yard for our pup was welcome. There are apartments in close proximity across a fence; happily there was absolutely no loud music nor disruption from the apartments during our visit. Our host was swift to respond to and fulfill our requests for a tea kettle and conventional coffeemaker which was very appreciated. If one cooks a great deal, the kitchen supplies were on the sparse side (plenty of plates, cutlery, etc but there could have been more pots and pans, a colander, etc). The master bedroom bed was comfortable. Internet was strong and quick. It's a nice, attractive property. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Loved the gas fireplace and spacious rooms! Perfect location!

Very nice and clean.

Clean house on deadend street, walkable to Bay Street shops and waterfront. Spanish Moss trail 6 blocks away. Nice sized house for 2 people or small group. Kitchen even has an air fryer, but I did not find wine glasses. Very comfortable couch. Bed pillows were too big & hard for us. We enjoyed the Reconstruction Era monument & walking tour and the Military Museum on Paris Island. We saw dolphins in the river at Sands Beach!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this 3 bedroom/2.5 bath cottage. This home was so cozy, nicely decorated and very comfortable for our adult family. We were in Beaufort for an event in the historic downtown and the location of this cottage was perfect for easy access to the cute downtown. While there, we visited the lighthouse in Hunting Island (park pass was included in the rental) and enjoyed a long walk on the nearby Spanish MossTrail. The neighborhood was quaint and very quiet. The rental and check-in process was very easy. We were very pleased with this VRBO spot and would rent the property again. Thanks!

We were in town to get our new marine. The house was located close to everything. It was beautifully decorated, clean and very comfortable. Thank you for making a stressful/exciting time so much better ❤️

Over all we loved it here. The house was clean. The beds are soft. There are 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Neighborhood was quiet. Everything in Beaufort is within 15 minutes of the house. We would stay here again!

Rental is very close to many good food options. An if like me you are looking for a rental to visit your new Marine after they have made the 13 long weeks of boot camp and watch them graduate! This is the place it is a short distance to the gates of Parris Island, takes about 10 minutes if that.

We enjoyed the location of this home, good proximity to downtown area and a walking trail. Was generally a very functional home with three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a kitchen, dining and living room. The kitchen was somewhat sparsely equipped and some of the bathroom towels were worn.
The screened in porch was delightful.
Would advise to review fees charged if you are booking through Evolve. While I am not allowed to mention specifics in this review we found some charges unclear, non refundable and excessive.

The house was spotless and well appointed.

The house was perfect for our family. We had plenty of room and loved the layout of the house. It super convenient to everything we wanted to do & about a 15-20 minute drive to the beach! :)

Overall we loved our stay at this house. The kids loved the front porch and the fenced in yard was very convenient since we brought our dog. The house was very clean and well stocked. The pass to Hunting Island was great for a day at the beach - it’s beautiful there.
For the price, there are a couple items we felt were missing:
- more outdoor furniture is needed. The house sleeps 6 (3 bedrooms) but only has two rocking chairs on the front porch and two chairs on the screened in porch.
- each bedroom needs some kind of blackout curtains, the sun in the morning was blinding
- the duvet for the king bed downstairs is too small and barely reaches the edge of the mattress, and probably for a queen
- the living room needs more seating for a place that can sleep 6
- main bathroom needs hooks for towels

Very comfortable accommodations, just 1 mile from the center of Historic Downtown Beaufort and a couple of blocks from the Spanish Moss Trail. Beds were comfortable. Had everything we needed for our stay!

it was a great home and pleasant

Lovely home with 2 porches to enjoy with just the right amount of sunshine. An easy 1.2 mile walk into town along the water on Bay Street. Well equipped kitchen, very comfortable bed. Included with the home is a parking pass for entry and parking at SC state parks, specifically to Hunting Island State Park. Would highly recommend.

The house itself is lovely and it was perfect for my family of 4. It was so convenient to MCRD Parris Island which is why we were there.
I wish I could have given the 5 stars but there were a few things that wouldn’t allow for the 5++ we didn’t know where the dishes and silverware were until our final day actually our final hours. Yes, I should have called the number when we arrived, that’s on me. We were just so excited and busy and honestly didn’t care. ( I didn’t even think to look in the dishwasher) I wouldn’t have expected to empty the dishwasher upon arrival. Also one of the garbage cans in the kitchen was dirty I assumed that was for recycling since there was no liner placed there. I cleaned that up no problem. When we were leaving which was actually the day before our reservation ended I texted the host to let them know about that stuff and was a little bit disappointed that I didn’t get a reply, it did show that it was read however. I had to hand wash a few items that couldn’t fit in the already full dishwasher I was hoping that that was ok which is why I would have liked the response.
Anyway, it was a really lovely home and I enjoyed every minute that was spent there. I will forever hold fond memories of it and would totally stay again or recommend the home to future Marine Corps graduates family’s
Thank you for a wonderful experience

The House was amazing and very convenient to Parris Island. I would have loved to give 5 stars but had to go down to 4 because we didn’t know that all the dishes were in the dishwasher still not put away and that one of the cans in the kitchen didn’t have a liner and the can was dirty which I cleaned, no problem. Other than that the size of the home was perfect for my family of 5 and very nice!!
I had sent host a text when I left stating this and didn’t get a reply, that was a little disappointing since we left the property on Friday when we had to the reservation until Saturday. I would have liked a response.

Absolutely stunning home, very clean and safe. Perfect location to everything. Will be back

Very well equipped house. Had everything we needed. My only complaint is that the towels were pretty skimpy. Location is 1 mile from downtown Beaufort which can easily be walked, biked or driven.

House was lovely and the king master bed was the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept on away from home. Neighborhood was quiet. House has everything you need. Convenient to downtown and Parris Island, National Cemetery, Hunting Island State Park. Really appreciated use of the park pass. Hunting Island was amazing! Thank you

This property was amazing, just what my family and I were looking for, clean, cozy, comfy beds, big yard, it was just perfect.
Thank you

The house was very clean and charming. I loved that it was dog friendly because I was there in order to bring my dog to a local veterinarian. The yard is fenced in and plenty big for dogs to run around. There’s also a gate on the front porch so you can relax and allow the dogs to sit, there are neighborhood dogs who do bark but that’s to be expected. I was only there for two nights, but I would go back for sure. It was well stocked and clean and very welcoming and hospitable.

We had a great fall break trip for our family, including our two dogs. When we first arrived, the internet was down. I called the property manager who was super nice, and she said it was due to a power surge. The issue was handled in a timely manner. We enjoyed our stay.

The outside was grown up. The bed sheets had something on them and the floors were not very clean in the upstairs bathroom.

We had a wonderful time, we got to bring the puppy's, super clean home close to everything.

Relax on the rocking chairs on the wide front porch…enjoy preparing a Low Country Boil in the clean and well-supplied kitchen…rest and wake up late in the spacious main suite…and put in dibs for “next” on the tire swing in the front yard (your kids will be jealous).

The property was perfect for our stay. It was centrally located to downtown. It was very quiet, the house was clean and comfortable. We will definitely come again.

This property earned the name from our grandchildren as we turned into the driveway 😀
The descriptions on the site were accurate, but I can add a few words. The decor is lovely, bright and features local artists (explained in detail in the visitor notebook). The kitchen is spacious, clean and well-stocked with utensils and cooking gear.
There was plenty of privacy; the fully fenced back and side yards provided lots of “run-around” space., There’s a picnic table too! A cozy screened-in back porch gave us a quiet place to listen to birds and tree frogs as we all wound down from our busy days.
The large bedroom on the first floor features a king bed, large dresser, full bath with tub/shower and a walk-in closet. I had dibs on this one lol, glad I did! Two bedrooms, a landing with two dormer windows and full bath upstairs gave lots of room to play, nap, goof off and make forts.
The front porch is wide and welcoming, with two rocking chairs that were constantly in use. I especially liked the sturdy gate at the outdoor stairs. It’s a reliable boundary for little ones or fur babies. Don’t miss the tire swing tucked away in a corner of the front yard…not just for little kids 🥰
It’s easy to reach all the attractions/shops/restaurants/military installations from this location. Keep in mind, this is a real neighborhood, so there are variations in what surrounds the “Happy Yellow Cottage” most properties are well-kept or improved. Also, there is a noise ordinance in town, so group parties or boisterous shenanigans are not tolerated…plan any celebrations for early in the day…and respect the neighbors.
We had a lovely time, thank you for becoming part of our wonderful vacation!

Great location great house only thing I think needs to be fixed is the master bedroom mattress. Other than that I would rent this house again. Loved our time away!
