A beautiful unique way to explore the fort and port Townsend. The duplex was charming and historic, and the onsite pub was a plus. Super friendly staff, and the coffee shop’s breakfast sandwiches hit the spot. Get the b&b experience with the privacy of a vrbo at this one of a kind property.

Really cool historic setting within the State Park. Our accommodations were clean and comfortable.

Really enjoy this place, very clean, very friendly and safe. They think of everything. Highly recommend. The only thing i would say is that if you value quiet, get a standalone house rather than half a duplex, walls very thin, you can hear a spoon in a mug in the other side of the house.

You would never know how nice the accommodations are from looking at the buildings from the outside. We stayed in a 3 bdrm appartment in the Lofts and it was really nice inside. I think Fort Worden is a fun and interesting place to stay.

The condition of the property is outdated to say the least. From chipping pain on walls and ceiling to not working shower - it’s nothing close to what one would see on official photos of the property. It’s puzzling where all high reviews are coming from or maybe we just unlucky with the duplex unit we got but it was very unpleasant stay. Would never come again.

Can't adjust heat, we were cold, warm water for shower, Although kitchen water got hot. Pillows too big and soft.
Great location for spring or summer, not cold months. Nice central location to catch a free bus to town. better than driving. Quiet time of year.

Fun to stay at an old Army post. IN THE 60'S I was in the Army and had friends on post at West Point. A similar, if somewhat updated facility. Very clean and pleasant setting.

Beautiful landscapes. The buildings could use a little paint but clean & cozy.
The local deer are lovely. Lots of wildlife viewing. Clean beaches.

Fort Worden is a jewel and Port Orford is a must see vacation destination. We stayed in the officer housing and felt instantly transported to a critcal period in our American history. Staff and facilities represented the period well. Enjoy!

My buddy and I went up to visit friends, and I booked this because I needed two bedrooms and like taking pictures on the shore. We ended up with a 4-bedroom suite with a dining room. It was amazing especially for the price. It retains the qualities of the time it was built, so the bathroom is not deluxe by any means. What they have done is add dining facilities that are terrific, ie, a good coffee shop. Next time, we'll try the bar.

I arrived early before my 4 PM check in so I thought we’d go check out the town got back to the hotel at 6:30 and everything was closed and couldn’t check in tried calling the number no answer after I left a message and 48 hours later still no call back or anything. After waiting waiting for a callback for 30 minutes or so luckily I got a hold of the maintenance/security guy and he let us in hour later, did get unpacked and in our room until 8ish. The security guy was very nice and helpful but the front desk needs some help and that one’s did they mention to be back before everyone had left by 6 PM. The grounds of the hotel itself are pretty cool along with the security guy but the front desk was seriously lacking customer service was terrible to say the least.

It suited us very well. The place was clean; the place was quiet. We walked around, and ate in town.

We will be back! Beautiful place and w/ that old school vibe in the rooms. The beach is super close, huge lawn, and two cute science places for kids. It looks like there’s camping there too but we stayed in the housing. There’s a restaurant but it was closed bc of the season and the small cafe was good. My only complaint was we had a huge awesome balcony and it was absolutely covered in bird feces. If it wasn’t such a short trip (2 nights) I would have asked for them to clean it bc it was that bad. That will not deter us from staying there again though :) also, there’s a ton of history here so that’s was cool to read about.

Great location for exploring Fort Worden. We enjoyed daily walks to the beach, and it was interesting for the kids to stay in a historic home.

immediately asked for a refund, which I still haven't received after they told me. I took 5 steps into the cabin and checked out.

We stayed at the Watchmans cabin and it was wonderful. Had all the kitchen tools we needed to cook and enough space for our family of four to relax and explore beautiful Port Townsend. The empty bunkers were a hit with the 11 year old and the beaches were a hit with me. The 8 year old loved the deer that lounged just outside our window.

It was as listed. The fact that ths ed s bluidings are pushing 100 years old, they are in great shape and very clean.

Our stay at Ft. Worden was very pleasant. It was exciting to explore the fort grounds. It was also nice to stay in a Victorian-style townhouse (corporal's quarters). Our only problems were that there was no shower, just a claw-foot bathtub. We had to call the concierge to turn the heat up. (It was set to 62F.) Other than that, it was fine.

Rent here every year at this time because it is a great spot. Always fun to take morning walks around the fort. Best place to stay for price, ambiance, outdoor activity and proximity to Port Townsend.

We've been going to Fort Worden around Christmas time for the last few years as a way to get away before getting overwhelmed with city traffic and busy-ness and have found it to be a wonderful little getaway. It has everything we need to feel comfortable and spend some down time in a beautiful place.

Our Family spent a lovely weekend at the Fort. We were celebrating our Grandmother's life who was interned in Port Townsend. We laughed and cried, ate, walked the beach and remembered a lovely lady all together. 9 of us stayed in a house, it was warm, comfortable and we all loved the porch. Thank you!

Access to the shoreline, arty Pt Townsend, (off-season) quiet make for a rejuvenating get-away. There is a problem with heating the space, but plenty of blankets were supplied. We were comfortable playing scrabble in the evening, with light sweaters on. It was so nice to be in such a large and lovely apartment.
