Great location. Staff was very friendly, welcoming, considerate, respectful, and extremely helpful, and everyone aimed at pleasing all of the hotel guests. Very clean and comfortable room.
Can't think of anything displeasing, everything was fine.

The service was great. Everyone from the front desk, to housekeeping, to folks in the bar/restaurant. Everyone was very welcoming and wonderful. The location is excellent. Close to everything we like to do. Parking was easy as well, with unlimited in/out privileges. The price is expensive for other cities, but on par with what you would pay in Vancouver for a place like this. The Holiday Inn & Suites Vancouver Downtown will definitely be on our list for best places to stay.
The price was expensive compared to other locations. But the amenities and service was definitely worth it.

The homeless in the alley behind the hotel

I like that the hotel was very close to the Cruise Terminal. I scheduled a ride with Uber, and was at the Cruise Terminal in 10 minutes.
Room was clean, and comfortable.
It was a very costly stay for what was provided. Construction workers were playing around on the 3rd floor starting at 5 a.m. Loud talking, laughing, slamming things.
Food and Drink was also very expensive. $15 for 2 Small Water Bottles. Would choose another hotel next stay.

Breakfast was excellent. We were given a room as soon as we arrived, though we were several hours early. Very grateful as we were exhausted from our travel. All staff we had contact with were very courteous and helpful.
Could not get supper on day of arrival as, at 4, the restaurant became a bar and served drinks only. Tried to order food just after 3 and was told it was too late. The decor was slightly worn, however they were in the process of redecorating.

Friendly and helpful staff. Good location. Good happy hour.

Upon arrival we were really tired. I was not happy to find we were on the 2nd floor, our friends on the 3rd floor and the others on the 6th floor. However we accepted it, but then we went to leave the lift and found about ten stairs we had to get down with our heavy luggage.
Good news is after contacting the front desk they were able to transfer us to another room with no stairs and on the 4th floor and the staff member who came to give us our new access card helped us with the luggage.
The bed was large and very comfortable with us falling asleep quickly each night.
The stairs obviously (not a problem if you light luggage or are young and fit. No sign in the lift to tell you what was on what floor. Although there were about four lamps in the room I found the lightning wasn't great for me at my age.

Location was ideal, cab came quickly
Our coffee maker in our room was broken. It was my birthday and didn't want to have to track down a coffee pot. I went down and asked they said they will bring one in about 15 minutes. That never happened for the rest of stay unfortunately. However the staff were very accommodating and friendly

I loved the location of the property, it was clean and the staff were extremely helpful. The aircon didn’t work in Our original room and the front desk was very helpful by sending maintenance and when that didn’t work they kindly moved us to a room that had excellent air con. I was very impressed. Thank you Holiday Inn Vancouver.
The room with better aircon was a little confusing to get to . But all in all I didn’t not like anything about this location . We had a good stay.

Reception, service and location is great.
I booked a room for 4 persons including breakfast. 3 adults and one child. You pay for 3 adults and child is free. Breakfast is then not included for the child. No mention anywhere. The room itself was tidy but dated and could be cleaner.

The Location was excellent. Staff were very helpful with providing info about activities. It was central and easy to get transport around the city and to and from airport. Very happy to stay again and price was good.
There seems to be some social problems in vancouver with a lot of drug affected and homeless people sleeping rough. The day I arrived there were 2 guys drinking from casks and sleeping in the bushes just outside the hotel driving bay. Not the hotels issue and they were moved on, but a bit off putting leaving and arriving at the hotel and something for visitors to be aware of when walking around Vancouver. I wasn't hassled at all, but it's very obviously an issue for the city.

The location and staff were great. There are lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. The rooms were decent, nothing special.
The carpets in the rooms and hallways are old. It smells a little smokey and has a few stains.

Good location, comfy bed. But prices in Vancouver during summer cruise season are outrageous. Stayed less than 24 hours for a $$. But it is what it is. We would stay here again.

in general the hotel was nice, comfortable and clean
No security box in the room. And a little expensive for our dates

Location and comfy bed!
The elevators were confusing. To elaborate, it would be beneficial to have a sign posted at the appropriate elevator to indicate which one goes to P1-5 and which one goes to only AB or CD. It was also weird that the main elevator does not go to the main floor - this does not make it stroller/wheelchair accessible. Also seems odd that the main elevator is meant for 2 tiny people while the others are regular size. The parking garage could have been designed better. Really doesn't make sense that it doesn't connect throughout the whole garage (i.e., its currently designed as one way with an escape route above P3 which is suspect from a fire safety perspective)... Basically, the overall design of the building seems poor, but hey, I guess every architect needs their first crack at the can! Staff wasn't overly friendly or helpful. Restaurant staff were great though! Pool was not kid-friendly as there was a very small shallow end.

Very pleasant stay though I'll be getting in touch as I was hit immediately by a C$409 charge. Then paid 1600+ for room . The 300.00 "hold" fee repaid when I left but not the $409. When booking ivexpected 1300+ as fixed fee and I paid in Canadian $. When I queried the first charge I was told it would be returned.
The additional charge

When we checked in our room should have been a 2 queen bed, after a long day of travel we were issued a 1 king and pull out bed that was horrible. The front attendant was rude but the manager was amazing.
What you reserved wasn't what you were issued. The location was horrible - dirty and yucky!
