Old facilities
Value for dollar - way overpriced

Good phone service & guest services
No drinking water or cups. No coffee, no ice. No refrigerator. Very disappointing the office had mo water bottles or ice. The water dispenser in office was empty.

Was chill
Nada

My recommendations are get some screens on the windows and that way windows can be fully open as for full breezy air flow. As well as we did not use the stove , you really should not have those tin plates under the burners as they do cause fire.

was no breakfast

Good location, relatively quiet, helpful staff, comfortable enough bed, decent wifi
Although sorta charming, the general condition of the motel is run down and dumpy, and it’s quite expensive given the conditions. Rooms, beds, and towels were clean but lots of peeling paint, doors that won’t close properly, thin walls, etc

the location
Wow..what a terrible experience at the 2400. I don't even know where to start. I am an exceptionally clean person and always go out of my way to leave the place I lodge at in the same manner which I received it.
So the desk clerk did not return any of my 200 dollar deposit except 20 dollars. And so he tells me it's for 2 top sheets that are stained. EXCUSE ME? Stained how? So when I asked to see what he was talking about he says no...just a flat out no you may not. Ok so then I asked him if he could take a picture because I am disputing this. Does a hotel that rents to you expect your sheets to look brand new? I don't understand. So then he also charged me 50 dollars for a late check out. He told just a half hour earlier that if I stayed until 3:00 I would be charged 100 dollar late fee.
I checked out at 2:40 so he tells me I'm late and charged me 50 dollars. WHAT. ???
So Not only did I leave there feeling totally ripped off and belittled but the fact I couldn't even see the proof of my " dirty sheets"
This sort of treatment is absolutely deplorable. And needless to say I never even complained about the huge cockroach in my room ( and holy crap I've never seen such a huge cockroach in my life!)
So I won't be coming back to a hotel that allows their patrons to be treated in such a manner ( especially one that's a repeat customer!)
So that's 3 strikes....Treated badlly....bugs....and no air conditioner in sweltering heat....
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO ANOTHER Hotel...this one is a NIGHTMARE!!!

They provided a microwave after my few requests.
Didn't follow up the request I made. Smells bad. Pictures are misleading. There is no shared kitchen. Actually, there is NO kitchen. They lied. Beds are uncomfortable. Bath tub broken.
2.3
All ground level with easy access to parking

They provided a portable heater because the room was freezing
The heating didn’t work, right after checkout asked for new blankets as the bedding was dirty and the room had a desk but no chair, got switched one room over and it was just as bad, dirty bedding, bathroom falling apart with signs of black mold in the tiles and on the ceiling, power kept going out and needed to be switched back on, no one answered the front desk when called, stood out in the rain waiting because a sign said they’d be back, and they were actually in the office anyway, hidden $200 deposit on top of the $360 we paid that won’t be returned until the hold cancels 5 days later. Left mid way through our stay in an ambulance but still paid full price, was basically a glorified SRO, the woman working the desk wasn’t in the office when we were checking In, only one employee at a time.mattress bigger than platform so hanging off the edges, no insulation on the doors, window in the bathroom missing handle making it difficult to close. This place is nothing but a cash grab, as someone who works in film their little display of things that have been filmed there is not impressive, it seems they took all the money production gave them to waste on an electric car charger for the boss out front of the office, while the rest of the place is falling apart.
There’s a difference between vintage and trashy, this place should be condemned just like the balmoral on Hastings.

Location
It was too cold in the room, bed too small, price too high.. no coffee in the room, no fridge, TV hardly worked.

Has everything you need. Staff are nice. Run down and not comfortable but cheap and fairly good walking distance to places.

We selected the location near to our son's home. When we arrived, Joe was in the office and welcomed us. He told us about a great place for dinner or lunch....The Tipper. We took his recommendation and loved it, and it was in walking distance from the hotel. The motel is legendary, some great stories of it's history and films made there, and I remember staying their when we went to Expo 86. It wasn't their fault that there was a huge snowstorm with many closed roads and streets. We liked that when we told the receptionist that our room was too cold she brought over three extra blankets and a portable heater. That made all the difference. Again, it wasn't their fault that the weather was record breakingly cold! I liked the setup of the individual cabins! They were helpful when asked. The price was very reasonable, so we didn't expect a lot.
A little weather-stripping on the door would have helped! There wasn't a coffee machine or kettle in the room, and no where nearby to get a coffee in the morning. We missed that!

The room was reasonably clean
The room was cold. The heaters hardly worked There were insufficient bedclothes. There was pealing on the walls in the bathroom.
2.3
The staff is exceptionally nice. Theyre the only reason this place hasn't self imploded. And you can tell they're doing the best with what they have.
Easily the most uncomfortable place I've ever stayed at. I literally would rather sleep in the cold muddy snow like back in my army days, because at least it made sense.
2.3
Close to Downtown
No Wifi, Not so good furnitures

Friendly staff. An older building but can't go wrong for the price!
The room wasn't super clean but it could have been a lot worse.
