The hotel made no effort to make staying there likable. The staff acted very indifferent like robots with no human ingenuity and no courtesy to the issues of customer which in this case was major as the air conditioning in the room was not working and this was a known issue not a last minute mishap.
The air conditioning in the room was not working. We had booked this room weeks in advance. I had reconfirmed my booking with the hotel (as I had prior experience with Booking.com failing to coordinate with hotel ending up in last minute shock to us with no hotel reservation. Apparently, that was also a Hampton Inn hotel in St. Augustine, FL) The check in time is 3pm. We checked in just before midnight as we were travelling about 10-11 hours journey by road to arrive in Boston. Between 3pm - 11:30pm the hotel knew that the air conditioning was not working but they didn't think of fixing it or even calling us to inform that if we would like to continue with our reservation. They put a small stand alone AC unit in the room which blew hot air back in the room as there was not vent to take the hot air out of the room. The room felt like a boiler. Not sure how hotels can get away with such things which can potentially cause health hazard.
Apart from this incidence, I felt the hotel very old. The toilet didn't work properly either and the flush made sound whole night until I had to shut down the water supply to the tank. In general, I feel this hotel is not very well maintained and I will be very skeptical of the overall cleanliness as well - I can't comment much on the cleanliness as I had bigger issues to experience so didn't get my attention but I am just going by the pattern of poor maintenance with the two issues i experienced.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The shuttle service was great - very useful in going to and from Quincy Adams Station. Breakfast was good, much variety and each day something different. The room was clean and comfortable.
The location is far away from any restaurants or stores, however the shuttle is available within a 4 mile radius.

Lower price, but quickly found out why. At least the staff was good people.
I was right across the hall from the laundry room, where they keep the door open, screaming and yelling, and wouldn't shut up, THAT screwed up my Vacation, waking up on their schedule they're getting paid for. I'm not! Then, no pool, 4 times I asked prior to getting there from the nc/va line, never made privy to it! Then, the back door was also right beside me, aside from that normal noise, they were working on concrete and sawing the water riser, metal pipe at 0600! Pisses me off. I got offered "we'll bump it down to $175 a night!", which was not even at the time ok, and DEFINITELY won't ok once I realized the MUCH nicer Hampton Inn up the street was $166 a night, and beautiful, and had a pool😡 Crooks and thieves is how I feel, because my Vacation was ruined 4 days due to no sleep hardly, after 8 years of Not being able to go on one, because of actual work. VERY disappointing, and this also ruined my first Red Sox game ever, and so much time with family due to pure aggravation. My SERVICE DOG that is trained NOT to get aggravated, was even getting mixed up by it all, and if she's ruined as far as my service dog, we may have a problem there, which we'll circle back around to! I'm never the type to get upset or angry, but, and NEVER ask for anything, but, in my HUMBLE opinion, I believe ALL of that stay should be refunded in full, even per the front desk, "yeah, that's our worst room!" Why not tell someone that ahead of time?! The over night/early morning gentlemen and one other lady, (very nice Jamaican accent lady, very nice. Loved her to death.) both told me that! The G.M. seemed to be a nice lady as well, very sweet. However, my hang up is how is the one right up the street that is much nicer, and has all the things promised cheaper than the crap I stayed in, and was only offered even more expensive than the nice one?!

Location
Cleaning staff was great with fresh to and made up beds.
Pool and hot tub closed, not notified until we got there. Should have been up front with us or offered a discount.
Stop using turkey products instead of pork for breakfast meats.
Shower pressure was not consistent.
Paint peeling everywhere in bathroom.
Also coffee cup lids did not fit cups

The front desk staff was great. The rest of the visit was very poor. The first room we were in has black mold growing in the bathroom. We changed rooms and it was better but overall the establishment was unclean and we will not be staying at this hotel again in the future.
The location is poor, there is a loud factory right next door. The building is very outdated and unclean. Upon arrival and once we got settled in our room we considered booking a different hotel. If it was for more than one night we would have switched to a cleaner and more up to date hotel.

Breakfast had a nice variety to choose from. Good coffee and waffles. I liked that there was a microwave and a nice sized refrigerator in the room.
The bed was a little hard and uncomfortable to sleep. Not enough towels in the bathroom for the 4 of us staying in one room. The bathroom seemed like it needed to be repainted. There were stains on the ceiling. The room also seemed like it could use a refresh/update.

Pool was nice
Hot tub was not working. Bed and pillows might have been the least comfortable thing I’ve ever slept on in 32 years on this planet. Shower was equally disappointing.

Staff was nice, breakfast was great, kitchen staff was comfortable with dietary restrictions
The room was definitely beaten up, and not cleaned well (candy on the floor lol). But honestly not the worst!

Didn’t avail ourselves of the breakfast.
The initial room assigned had a marijuana odor but, to her credit, the clerk quickly assigned us another room. This one had two lady bugs in the bedding and the bathroom fixtures were worn and seemed beyond their lifespan. There was also a loud hissing whenever the toilet was flushed in the room next door. We stayed in the Hampton Inn in Smithfield, RI the night before and found the facilities to be more modern or fresh.
I also suggest that a couple of comfortable chairs be placed in the breakfast area so that someone who wants to read at night can do so when other family members retire early. The chairs in that room were not conducive to relaxing.
