We were assigned to rooms on the ground floor, as requested.
Bathrooms and kitchenette were ok.
We had rooms 3, 5, and 8 assigned, and as a group of 6 adult males pairing up into rooms, we needed 6 beds.
Upon arrival at 18:00 local time, discovered that room 3 was a mess (not actually made up at all; bedding, wet towels, food everywhere). Had to drive over to the Prestige Inn (the Cedar no longer has management on site), and counter staff reassured me that room 3 was definitely cleaned and ready for us earlier that day. It was a mess, I should have taken pictures.
I requested another room (instead of waiting for housekeeping to clean room 3), and they tried to assign me to room 12, which is on the 2nd floor (via stairs). [We travel with motorcycle gear and luggage, so I expressly reserved rooms on the ground floor]. I indicated only ground floor was acceptable, so they assigned me room 6. They assured me that room 6 had 2 beds, AND that the room was clean & ready.
Went back to the Cedar, and discovered that room 6 actually had a bed, and only a fold-out (sofa bed). Was disappointed, but tired, needed a shower, and by now it was already almost 7pm. No pillows for the sofa bed, so had to borrow from my roommate's regular bed. Then we discovered the air conditioner would run just fine, but no matter how the controls were adjusted, it DID NOT COOL the room at all.
One last thing: 2 of these 3 rooms revealed electrical work for installation of a modular safe or something else (?) which was still in progress. Those rooms should not have been reservable to paying guests until all work was complete.
Radium as a tourist zone has begun to feel under-served in terms of available rooms each summer. That said, poor management oversight like this would not be acceptable to most travelers.

we could drive the motorbike right to the dooe
it was very dirty … we had to wipe the furniture down and wash the floor … the parking lot was filthy

Clean and cosy room with almost everything you need in a hotel room.
Very thin walls and floor. The moment we arrived the hotel reception called us that room below us is complaining about the noise but we were just walking! You could hear every neighbor room as walls are thin.

The location was fine, however, the room was freezing cold when we arrived and the room had dead and live bugs all over the place (we counted 15). We left and go a refund and stayed elsewhere. I think this hotel doesn’t have many customers as no one else was staying at the Motel.

That booking.com never showed me my actual totally and the price was almost $100 higher than I’d expected. Won’t be using the service again.

This rustic motel is clean and very comfortable. Check-in at a separate property is a minor inconvenience. We will return, so long as the following recommendations are met.
Reservation staff need to pay closer attention to special requests included with online booking. We requested main floor room, but this was not noticed and it was quite an adventure navigating narrow stairs for handicapped gentleman.

Property is very economically priced and very quiet. There were deer directly underneath our room at about 5am so that was amazing.
It is definitely a little bit dated and the bed was very uncomfortable.

The location was fine. Just off the highway, but not noisy at all. Very pleasant surroundings.
Can't think of anything. Very pleasant all around. Could have been maybe $20 less.

The Motel was very charming, with lovely flower baskets hanging everywhere...looked very pretty! Comfortable bed, 2 chairs to sit in with a small table. Room was large & a pleasant space, with a small balcony.
No elevator, so have to be able to carry all luggage up the stairs. Would appreciate a small fridge with a "freezer" compartment for freezing cold packs( needed for a cooler as you travel) A small microwave would also be nice.

Location, it had everything we needed.
Was not aware motel sold. Had to go to different hotel to get checked in. The hotel is def run down and no staff present except those living onsite to work at the other hotel. Not what i was expecting. Pricey for such a dive..but it had everything we needed. The fridge/freezer and floors were dirty upon arrival. The curtain is a bedsheet. Definitely needs updates.

Very clean. Wood type flooring which we prefer to carpet. Had microwave and fridge and flat screen TV. Good TV channels. Table and chairs for two people. Good position and quiet. Short walk to restaurants. We ate at the Strausberg restaurant and the schitzel and apple studel was really good.
Motel has been bought by new owners who intend to renovate over the winter. We had to go to Prestige to register. Room was musty but opening the window and doors cleared that out. It's 1970's but very clean. Radium is the intersection for highway to Golden and towards Invermere. The road is very busy because roadworks are happening on highway 1 and Radium is the alternative route to Golden. Drivers should be careful in this area especially near the hot springs turnoffs. The springs are restricted due to Covid and it is difficult to get in (we didn't). Go at least an hour early before the hot springs open. We were disappointed. Invermere is close and the lake and beach were lovely.

There are no staff around, phone didn't work. Was run by another hotel so we had to go there and check in. Web site said nice family run place which is not true. Recommend Booking. Com take off there website because web site is very deceiving,or we start using another web site for our bookings. Not even close to the money they ask for service you get.
