Awesome staff, pet friendly, live music, love this place

Great location, staff gave me an awesome room with a view and treated me very well.

There were some gnats in the tub and a spider.

Mieses Motel mit Fluglätm

Liebevoll eingerichtete Lobby

Es ist kein 4-Sterne Hotel wie von Booking inseriert sondern ein leicht aufgemotztes Motel direkt am Flughafen. Diese Art von Zimmer bekommt man auf dem US Festland auch schon für 43 Dollar.

freundlich und insgesamt gut, gute Lage zum Volcanoes NP

Das ehemalige "Hilo-Seaside" - Hotel wurde unter dem neuen Namen "SCP" gründlich aufgefrischt. Verschwunden ist der muffige Teppich, Lobby und Zimmer haben ein frisches, zeitgemäßes Ambiente erhalten. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß, 2 Doppelbetten, gegenüber eine schöne Kombination aus Sideboard mit Schubladen und Schreibtisch, Spiegel, Sitzmöbel, Kofferbänke. Eine Nische mit Kühlschrank und einem offenen Regal, ein sehr kleines, aber helles Bad mit sehr guter Dusche in der Badewanne. Nur die Betten sind leider nicht wirklich gut, viel weiches Schaumgummi, daß merkwürdige Geräusche beim aufstehen von sich gibt, aber es geht. Schmaler Balkon mit Stühlen. (Beachten sollte man die unterschiedlichen Kategorien - es gibt auch - gleich ausgestattete - Zimmer im Basement ohne Balkon, sehr duster.) Geblieben ist natürlich der Motel-Stil mit der etwas verschachtelten 3-Etagen-Bauweise um die Innenhöfe herum, der nette Koi-Teich, und noch immer muss man die Koffer schleppen, denn Aufzüge gibt es nicht. In den öffentlichen Bereichen wurden freundliche Sitzecken angelegt, es gibt Bücher und Spiele, in der Lobby stehen auch Wasserspender sowie Kaffee, Tee und heißes Wasser zur Verfügung. Paddelboards und Bikes kann man ausleihen (first come, first serve), ein kleines Gym steht zur Verfügung. Sehr nette Mitarbeiter, immer mit einem Lächeln. In der Lobby abends an manchen Tagen Livemusik (moderat, und nur längstens bis 21 Uhr). Das Hotel liegt nur wenige Minuten vom Flughafen entfernt, wobei der Fluglärm zu vernachlässigen ist, da kaum ein Flug pro Stunde über's Haus geht. Störender sind da eher die aufgepeppten blubbernden Pickup's und sonstige Gefährte mit dröhnender Musik, die vorbeifahren. Überhaupt sind die Räume reichlich hellhörig, sowohl was die Straße als auch die Nachbarzimmer betrifft. Direkt nebenan das Restaurant "Coconut Grill" (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Die Betten sind nicht gut, viel weiches Schaumgummi, daß merkwürdige Geräusche beim aufstehen von sich gibt, aber es geht. Die Räume sind reichlich hellhörig, sowohl was die Straße als auch die Nachbarzimmer betrifft.

Tolles Hotel um die Sehenswürdigkeiten um Hilo zu erkunden.

Die Lobby und Poolarea waren ein Traum um einfach zu geniessen. Gratis Kaffee,Tee und Wasser zu jeder Zeit. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Hotel war immer sauber. Das Hotel war familiär und sehr gemütlich.

Nichts-wir hatten alles was wir brauchten.

Awesome property & your staff is top notch!!

Clean, quiet. Calm & inviting atmosphere. Rooms were cozy, beautiful property. Very relaxing. Loved the welcome kombucha & your free coffee was delicious!

Bed too close to the wall. More pillows on beds. Pool could have been heated. Workout room could have bigger selection of weights & a treadmill.

Es war ein super schönes, toll ausgestattetes Hotel. Es gab einen Fitnessraum, einen Pool, schöne Rezeption mit Trinkwasserspender, Kaffee und Tee- gratis-, Spiele, Räder und SUP zum ausborgen. Lage top, mit Auto alles super schnell zu erreichen, gleich nebenan gab es ein Restaurant, war immer sehr gut besucht, sowie gegenüber. Zimmer und das ganze Hotel war wirklich sehr sauber, es gab keinen Fleck im Hotel der nicht gepflegt wurde.

Great stay for the price!

Very friendly staff and nice room. Pool area was great and great for relaxing. Considering how expensiv Hawaii is, this hotel was a very good deal. Would stay here again for a couple days.

Wunderschöne Gegend, nicht so touristisch wie Kona oder Honolulu - perfekt zum entspannen

Das Hotel liegt direkt neben einer wunderschönen Bucht in der man täglich Schildkröten beobachten und mit ihnen schnorcheln kann. Das Hotel ist schön gestaltet. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und konnte uns bei vielen Fragen zu unseren Aktivitäten weiterhelfen. In der Lobby finden mehrmals die Woche verschiedene Events statt wie Livemusik oder Fruit-Tasting. Für einen Urlaub zum entspannen absolut zu empfehlen!

Nice hotel grounds; poor value

The grounds of the hotel were really lovely! The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

The cost of staying here for the quality of the rooms themselves was a poor value. This made it hard to enjoy the room itself. It was mostly clean but just seemed a bit dated, the sliding door and screen latches didn’t work and seemed to have been hastily “fixed” by nailing in a single nail for the latch… things just felt a bit old with lots of makeup put on and it’s really just the high price for staying here that didn’t make sense for us.

Amazing family oriented hotel, great pause from socials and more opportunities for rekindling love.

The atmosphere of the hotel was amazing, comforting, and family friendly. The common areas were great; pool, lobby, and koi pond are beautiful and serene. My kids loved the vibe. No tv, but still great especially getting my kids off their butts.

The parking is tight and limited, more lighting is needed for security purposes. The toilet is a bit too close to wall, not enough leg room for comfort.

The place is older but extremely nice and impeccably maintained along with a fantastic Vibe with the Facility and Staff. Coffee was the best of any place I stayed in 2 weeks in multiple Islands.

Superior staff and ultra clean

The superior staff at the SCP was kind and helpful in finding us a room very late at night when we had to leave a vacation rental due to plumbing issues. When the room we were assigned to ended up having electric issues, they quickly moved us into a different, upgraded room. The whole hotel was clean and comfortable--not fancy or luxurious, but nice. We appreciated the various meeting rooms on site where we could sit and play games or work. The pool area with lounge chairs and tables to sit at was a great place to relax or share a meal together as a group. The hotel was within walking distance of the beach and several restaurants. We would definitely return again.

Great stay if you will be in Hilo

Lobby, pool and common areas were beautiful and stylish. We loved the free bikes, paddleboards, books and games. Well done!

The rooms still feel like an older motel but redecorated. I thought the mattresses could be more comfortable and Hilo area was a bit rougher.
