We’ve stayed here several times over the years and always love the atmosphere, the location and facilities. Breakfast is delightful, served in the courtyard. Loved staying in the Artist Suite. You will also be served coffee at your door every morning which is a nice touch.
A tea kettle in the room would be nice. Honestly there’s not much else to complain about other than it’s more than we generally pay.

Spectacular property - charming, quaint, romantic, everything you want out of a desert stay.

The resort is very pretty and romantic. It has a European feel to it. Our room was comfortable and had some nice touches like a record player. Coffee was brought to the door every morning. Breakfast was included in our stay. They changed up the menu during both days we were there and it was delicious both times. The pools were nice.
Some of the staff were not very friendly (the girl that checked us in and out). I had messaged the resort beforehand to let them know we would be there celebrating our 1-year wedding anniversary and never heard back. They also did not acknowledge our celebration during our stay. While we were there, the parking in front of the resort was constantly full (there are maybe 10 spots), so we had to park on the street one night and had our catalytic converter stolen. When we notified the staff, they did not seem concerned or empathetic about it. I expected better service considering how much we paid to stay there.

The breakfast was excellent. I had the granola. It was served with a generous serving of fruit. I appreciate there was a vegetarian option for breakfast. I enjoyed coffee being delivered outside the room in the morning, the positive proverbs delivered to the room on small slips of paper attached to wildflowers, the fresh flower pedals in the fountain, and the lighting throughout the property in the evening were beautiful touches. The atmosphere was very quiet, relaxed, peaceful. There were plenty of places to sit outside with a book and not be disturbed. I liked the architecture, the arrangement of the buildings, and the desert landscape. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating.
Though I appreciate the history and age of these buildings I was disappointed that details were missed in their preservation. The wood around the windows and doors showed too much age, the door knob to our room was very loose and rickety. The room interior, lacked shelving space in the bathroom, the curtains came unattached every time I drew them, there was one small mirror in the bathroom for the whole room. The furniture cushions around the pool area need to be replaced they were stained with body oil and some cushions had tattered edges.

The place was simple and quaint. We loved the ambience. It was centrally located yet it’s not in a busy street. Breakfast was served at the courtyard and is included in your stay. They also leave you a carafe of coffee at your balcony every morning. At night, they bring you a little surprise gift when they do their turn down service.
A slightly bigger bathroom would have made the place perfect. The bathroom was on the smaller size but it wasn’t a big deal. Also, the water pressure in the shower was a little weak.

I was looking forward to staying this hotel.
My mother and I had stayed here for two nights in a suite room ,and we paid about $750 for 2 nights. But I don't think this hotel was worth it. Because there are three reasons.
First, It was about at 2am on the first day, the bathroom mirror suddenly shattered. The terrific loud noise woke us up and we were scared of the sound. Of course, there was no one at the front desk and we had to wait until morning to use the bathroom. At worst ,I hadn't taken a shower yet, so I had to wait for taking a shower all day until the next night. And we sent a message to the hotel in the middle of the night ,but I did not get a reply and ended up feeling uncomfortable for more than 9 hours until we went to say it directly to the front desk in the morning.
The next is that not enough cleaning was done in the room. The mirror was replaced with a new one the next morning, but the bathroom had still fragments and broken pieces of glass. On the evening of the second day, there was still broken pieces of glass in the room after it had been cleaned. The used glasses were left unwashed as well. Also we were disappointed because they didn't even give some water that should have been provided a day.
The third is the staff. We are not native English speakers. I am a student studying English at university now. When I reported the trouble about the mirror to the staff, they politely apologized. But just after apologizing, staff left the room as if she was running away. The staff just said to me that another staff would clean the mirror during we are eating breakfast when we aren't in the room, and they didn't mention it at all after that.
When I talked native English speakers about what happened at this hotel, they told me that this hotel staff acted like they never gave us bad service. Since we are not native English speakers, they were fooling us ,and clearly we did not get proper service.
