Lovely House!

Our whole stay was wonderful. Mary was so kind, warm, welcoming, and she cooked amazing breakfasts. Our room was exceptionally clean, and we loved all of Mary's special touches throughout the stay.

A property with lots of character and exceptional common rooms.

I loved everything about my stay here. The property is stunning - I was a tourist in my temporary home taking pics and looking around. The breakfast's were second to none and Mary is a true gem of a person. I stayed here for a conference at the conference centre and it was a nice walk (10-15 min depending if going down or up the hill), or super short taxi ride. The room is very comfortable; bed, bath, in room coffee - all was great. I loved the personal touch that Mary and Robert provided with some history of the property and stories.
I was sad to know that Mary wouldn't come home with me when I had to go.

The Ryan Mansion was wonderful! It is one part B&B, one part art gallery and one part library. It is beautiful and so comfortable and we were treated like old friends! We will definitely return.

Wonderful room. So beautiful. The bathroom is amazing with a big soaker tub. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was really good, she made a special meal for me due to my restricted diet. We went for our 10th anniversary and we were really happy with our stay. Would go again.

The house was spectacular ! . We had a warm welcome from the host and Mary , the housekeeper. She made us fabulous breakfast every day and was a wonderful lady ! It was wonderful to stay in this beautiful house and reminisce of how life used to be . We felt like it could have been our home !
A minor thing : the hairdryer could be a better one !

Ryan Mansion had the cleanest rooms of any places we stayed during our 10 day vacation to nfld. Breakfasts which are included in the price were above expectation. Beds were very comfortable.
There should be more tv channels options by upgrading the TV cable plan.

The location is very nice. Loved the place. Mary made our first trip to St. John's feel like home. Breakfast was the best ! Room 201 was very comfortable and welcoming. We didn't suffer. Lol Thanks to Robert the gardener for good travel advice . Too bad th Hurricane Fiona chased us out a day early. Would definitely go back.

When we booked, we were hoping for a stay in a historic property that reflected the heritage of St. John's. This hotel certainly met that expectation! The place was spotlessly clean, and the staff (Mary) was very helpful and considerate. The location was excellent.
It was smaller than we expected (I think only 5 rooms), with no facilities, more of a B&B than a hotel. I wish the listing on booking.com had been clearer. The bed was a tad soft. Breakfast fare was wholesome but limited, and very similar from day to day.

Such a beautiful place. Love the simple classy interior design that helps to not take away from all the original wood work.
Would have liked to have a smart tv.
