Ir was quiet. Not a lot of people.
Had to move from the 1st room because the toilet seat was nasty.

The location is the only thing we liked about the hotel.
The room felt damped, the bed was so soft and old wasn't good for my back or health. The staff didn't even greet us when we walked in although the room was already paid for the staff told me they had to hold $100 and that it couldn't be done with the card I had a file so we gave another card, well they didn't even put that $100 on hold like they said with the different card they asked for, but the money came out of the original card I had on file. To this day that money has NOT been returned which hurts us a little in the finance dept because that money was included for our return back home in 2 days. I will NEVER EVER book at this location again.
The room itself had so many mirrors that I thought my wife and I was being put in a XXX movie. Unexceptable.
So the question remains why did they take my other card when they never used it? Trust me I am watching my account closely.

They had our reservation when we arrived.
No overhead protection from the rain at the front door and it was pouring. The room smelled awful! Our clothes absorbed the odor. Outlets were semi-working and probably dangerous. Office chair was extremely tattered (see photo).

Upon first entry it looked kept up.
When my two kids and I got into the room, set everything down, and got ready for bed, I found a spider in the ice bucket. No worries. But double looked at it, and confirmed through outside sources that it was a brown recluse. I couldn’t get comfortable staying in that room for the night after that, caught the spider to show the front desk, and requested a transfer, which he apologetically gave to us down the same hallway. It was a room that was still being fixed, but I appreciated his quick help. It was about 11pm at night, and we needed to get back on the road again by 7am the next morning, otherwise I debated requesting my money back and finding another hotel at the late hour. The night was a long mostly sleepless one, though my kids were able to sleep well. The sheets were clean, then surfaces were dusted. But attention to damage in things like curtains, ac cover falling off, tiles in the bathroom loose, and general wear and tear in addition to the poisonous spider found was the main complaint. I made sure my kids zipped up all their luggage and didn’t undress for the night, hoping to not pickup any traveling spiders that may also be in the new room. Then when we loaded up and went down to the free breakfast, I was happy to find warm breakfast. Saddened further though because the sausages were cold. Not like warm, cold. But the eggs were warm enough. Surfaces were clean and there were enough choices for me and kids. But my young son started exclaiming about the cockroach that was scurrying under a nearby chair. Par for the course I thought. My main complaint of this hotel was cleanliness. It needed better pest care and better vacuuming to keep up with anything like what we found, needed small maintenance care throughout the whole walkways, elevator, breakfast room, and bedrooms we were able to see. I wish I’d stopped at one of the earlier hotels instead of this one, and will not return.

The staff was nice and tried to accommodate us.
The property was dated and in need of an extreme renovation. Attention to detail in the rooms were needed.. old furniture needs to be removed.. new bedding is needed badly.. etc.

they never came in and emptied our trash cans. We always had to ask for extra trash bags and put it out in the hallway. Never brought us clean towels.

The hot tub spa was completely removed. The pool was still there though. Room was very trashed- chipped tiles destroyed toilet seat, couldn’t even take a bath in the tub- missing drawers.

Location was the only good thing about my stay.
My son woke up with a cockroach crawling on his leg. There was only 1 towel in the room and no wash clothes. The staff was rude when asked for more towels and at check in. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Worst experience I’ve ever had.

cheap
only one towel for 5 of us

The night staff was very apologist
Our room smelled like smoke.
Had to ask for the towels, the refrigerator was not clean, the sinks was not clean. The shower chair had dry blood on it. And also dry blood on the wall in the bathroom. Trash was in the trash can in the bathroom. No liner In the trash can. OVER ALL IT WAS not a Pleasant stay. Plus the room didn't have a closet. And the phone didn't work.

It was clean and in a good area.
The bathtub didn’t drain until a hour after our shower.

Finding the hotel was really easy. Right off west bound I70, easy back on west bound I70 in the morning. Check in was fairly smooth even though I had to make a last minute change through booking which required me to call the hotel directly. They still accommodated us with a first floor room with two queens and were ok with my GSD ($15.00 charge). Room was clean, lots of pillows, bed was very comfy. Bathroom was clean, good water pressure. Large parking lot, big enough for my truck and my 41 foot trailer. Probably the cleanest Days Inn we've ever stayed at.
Breakfast. Just Sausage and biscuits. No condiments to speak of. No bowels for the cold cereal. No hot cereal. Breakfast is the only reason this Days Inn didn't rate a 10.

The service

It was close to where we were going.
It was full of Marijuana smoke & smell. At least 4 rooms were smoking weed. There were at least 6 signs on each floor saying no smoking or you will be immediately evicted and a $250 fine. Nope, nobody got evicted. It stunk in hallway, elevator and in the room we stayed in. It wasn't bad in the room til middle of the night. The staff was unable to find our reservation because they had not been keeping up with booking.com so we ended up having to pay more and just book on site. Very disappointed and will not go back... EVER!!

I'm not picky or high maintenance AT ALL but the rooms floor had like two different textures like soft then hard which I thought was weird. HUGE Water stains on the ceiling in the bathroom. The whole back wall was a mirror which was VERY weird. Just didn't feel or look like $150.00. But pillows were nice, sheets were inside out (I always check for bed bugs) and the elevator made a weird noise and the door stuck for a solid 5 seconds making us scared to ride it ever again. If I paid $90 I'd expect this. But not $150.00.

We liked that we got a full refund.
Had the room booked for over a month. Got to our room - big bug on the pillow. Took a picture of the bug and then went downstairs to show management. Was put into new room (right next door to previous room). Checked beds - no bugs, but TV wouldn’t work. Management said they didn’t know when it would be fixed. Was told they’d put us in another room that we could check out first (again, just moved us down a room). Room’s TV remote wouldn’t work and tub looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since the very first guest. After being out through three different rooms, we asked for a refund and went to a much nicer hotel not even 10 minutes down the road.

convenient; nice people at the desk; pet friendly
It needs an update. in the bathroom the shower rod had cracked through the shower surround. the light/fan partially hung down from the ceiling. There were cigarette burns on the bedroom rug. The door to the outside did not need a key card for entry; the lock was broken. The dining area had construction materials stacked in it.

Nothing
It was dirty, people were smoking weed in the hotel and the smell was over powering in the hallways and coming into our room. and we said something to the front desk and they did nothing! Homeless people hanging around outside on the benches. And the continental breakfast filthy.
2.6
Nothing
Parking lot repair materials were in the dining room. Breakfast was not good.
