To stay in New York for that price is certainly a very good deal, of course you have to deal with imperfections and the

Nice room, on request with terrace and nice view, Sufficient air conditioning, clean, free coffee and cold water in the lobby, provided a travel cot for a toddler w/o additional charge

The neighborhood is pretty run down and dirty, it does not feel unsafe though. There were little things not entirely in order (curtains, it took for ever for warm water to arrive in the shower), we booked the room for 2 adults and two kids (one of them in the cot) there were 2 probably queen size beds which for 3 people is a little tight, we ended up putting them all together so it was ok, but generally this is sleeping space for 2 adults

I really love the esthetic of the inside of the hotel . It was very clean and presentable . I enjoyed the value of the furniture in the room also .

I did not enjoy the staffing . My first stay (I stayed two separate nights), check in was a breeze . There was some inappropriate conversation with the clerk and another guest while I was being checked in but it wasn’t the end of the world . Checkout was horrific . The same inappropriate guest attempted to “check me out” since the actual clerk was absent from his post . Me second stay the initial clerk couldn’t find my reservation and was unbothered to do so . It was just lack of communication I store .

Sleeping space didn’t match what it said on site

It was fine, it was nice

Advertised a 4 person room - we booked with 3 people. Then find out it sleeps 2 and it’s $25 a night for a cot for a third person. After arguing with me they eventually said they won’t charge for the cot. It was not comfortable at all. Maybe okay for a small kid but not an adult. I feel bad for anyone who has to pay extra to have a tiny uncomfortable bed, because they have twins instead of normal size beds. We thought since it said it accommodates 4, there’d be a sleeper sofa or that the beds were doubles or something but if you pay for 3 people in a 4 person room you actually get a 2 person room with room for 2….

Staff were courteous and very professional and were also helpful in addressing any concerns. Great

Room was neat as well as toilet and bath areas. Lighting and furniture were okay, the space and amenities were sufficient and well laid out.

It took a little long to clean the room and move out garbage and the water was not flowing properly from the bathroom faucet.

A good value hotel with a few cons.

Daily room cleaning and the bed. Location was also pretty quite at night.

Location to get to the hotel felt unsafe with very little light at night and hotel did not have ice machine maker. I was also put across the utilities room where it was quite loud.

Perfect oasis from the chaos of new York and very kind staff

The staff were very helpful and its very calm for new york, the staff gave me a plug adapter to borrow for the whole of my stay

the location is great because its calm, but you need to get taxis, and there arent realy even place sto eat neartbye except hacidic jewish places

Awesome!

We like the mini kitchen, the bathroom, the balcony view, also the cleanliness. Also, the night shift staff, she was amazing! She is very helpful and friendly and has a good customer service. I am a hotelier too and it really gives a smile on my face to have a great hotel experience.

There wasn’t much to like as we only stayed 15 minutes before we had to book another hotel

AVOID!!! Do not stay here! We only spent 25 minutes at the Condor before we decided we couldn’t stay here. The front of the hotel is falling apart. It was embarrassing being dropped there by our friends. We decided to give it a go and looked at our room. We went upstairs and the room was completely different to as advertised. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and understand that they may make it look better but this different to anything I’d ever experienced. The pictures look nothing like reality. The room STANK and no one in the hotel made an effort to even try and use an air freshener. Worst of all, there were stains on both the bed and curtains and the bathroom was unclean. After 15 minutes we decided to cut our losses and book a new hotel. It wasn’t worth staying here even after we had already paid for it. Do not fall into the same trap that we did. Complete false advertising. Worst experience I’ve ever had booking a hotel.

The Condor is a great place to stay. I spent three very restful nights there.

The staff was super helpful and the location was pretty good, just a 13-minute walk from the subway. There’s also a bus that you can take. And most importantly, the area felt safe.

The only thing I had trouble with was the noise from the heat pump fan. Luckily I had brought noise cancelling ear buds and slept with those. Something to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper. :)
