Exceptional

The hotel is perfect for both short and long-term stays. The room I had came with an entire kitchen area, a spacious living room, and a separate bedroom. This hotel was probably one of the best value-for-money places I stayed in. The staff was very professional and extremely helpful. The room was exceptionally clean, organized, and warm. When I find myself in Juneau again, I will certainly be coming back to this hotel.

There really isn't anything negative to say about this hotel. The only "negative" thing to say is that the room decor is a bit dated, but to be perfectly honest, this added to the appeal of my stay. It felt like I was staying in an old-school motel before motel chains took over.

Superb

location and friendliness of staff.

when we arrived on Sunday night the outside temp was 19. But the room heat was not on, and though we immediately turned on the heat, it took until the next morning for the room to heat up. from then on the room was very comfortable.

Excellent experience. Everytime we walked in the front door we felt like we were home. Awesome!

Sophia and Lynn were wonderful, friendly, very helpful. Room and hotel was very quiet. Excellent location. Great size suite. TV in living room and bedroom. Lobby was decorated really nice for the Christmas holiday. Very welcoming energy as soon as you walk in the front door. Easy parking. Could walk downtown if we chose. My first time there and would highly recommend.

Bad first impressions

First bad impressions last. We emailed arrival info and asked for hotel's courtesy shuttle but it didn't come. Gentleman at check in didn't know or care, and couldn't help when our room phone did not work. Despite booking 5 months ago, the gentleman gave us two rooms twenty meters apart. No towels in one. Suites are advertised as fully equipped but no wine glasses, 2 plates for two people etc. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean and women receptionists were helpful. Disappointing location.

Great place to stay for a couple of days!

Very reasonably priced for Juneau, accommodating management, decent accommodations

The onsite Manager was very accommodating, friendly and provided helpful information.

The "living room" in the 1 bedroom suite only had a recliner, desk chair and stool so for 2 people it wasn't as comfortable as it could have been.

Nice staff. The hotel is close to a grocery store and to the city bus station (Federal Building) by walk. Also, the downtown is just a 10-15 minute walk (you can see eagles and the scenery is beautiful). The room is really large, there is a separate living room, a kitchen and a bedroom too. And the washing machine and dryer in the room are really fantastic :) The hotel offers a shuttle to and from the airport.

Bit of a walk to town (less than a mile). rooms were huge. More like a timeshare than a hotel - fully equipped kitchen, living room, washer/dryer, etc. Free shuttle to airport.

Light breakfast service would have been nice.

Washer/dryer was great. Location is great. Near the whale fountain and a safe and lovely 7 minute walk to the grocery store or a 15 minute walk to town. Airport shuttle is also convenient and front desk staff was extra nice

Superb

If we go back to Juneau would definitely stay at Juneau Hotel again! A great place, we loved it! We arrived early, the front desk ladies were very nice and helpful, could store our luggage and walked into town along the water, which ist maybe 3/4 mile. They also helped to arrange for a taxi pick up for our early morning departure at 3:30 am. We had a wonderful large suite with full kitchen and even washer and dryer! Very satisfied with our stay!

Probably fine if it's not a warm day, but miserable if it is hot.

The hotel is close to the water and fairly close to downtown but not too close (huge cruise ships and their passengers swarm downtown)

Because they aren't accustomed to heat they have no AC. It was unbearably hot 8n the room my two nights and all I could do was open all the windows. That created an even bigger issue as a main highway was at window level and less than 30 feet away. The noise levels and exhaust fumes were horrible into the early morning hours. I got very little sleep.

Very nice room, excellent location next to the water. Would definitely stay again.

Loved the room!! Full size kitchen and separate bedroom like an apartment. It even had a washer/dryer! The location by the water was amazing!!

It’s advertised as within walking distance to downtown but it’s about 3/4 of a mile. Not terribly far but for a 70 and 56 year old, it was to much. We rented a car.
