Always ran out of plates. Staff didn't speak English and didn't understand us when we would ask for plates. Jessica the cook was amazing though. She was the nicest staff member there. I would never book here again. Room was dirty. Found clumps of hair on bathroom floor. Red ants in the bathroom and my husband got bit by them.
would never book here again.

Beautiful property room was immaculately clean. Room smelled fresh, linen was fresh. I don't think I've been in such a clean hotel before.
Paying for parking. My poor rating is because of the $8 per day plus $1 surcharge for daily parking. The only time I have EVER paid to park at a hotel was in DC and National Harbor because of the parking garage and limited street parking, etc. Hotel staff should be able to explain why paid parking is necessary. I would be hesitant to stay here again because of the paid parking. I will be making many overnight trips to Richmond due to my AAU schedule but I will avoid this location.

I made a reservation at Hyatt Place Arboretum which was ‘confirmed’ but upon arrival was told that there were no rooms available. The reception front staff (Tomasa) and the central reservations team made no effort to help - in short, they were first blaming their own system bug, then suggesting it was Booking.com error - this is totally missing the point that there is a customer late on Wednesday night in need of accommodation. Eventually, they offered to book me to another Hyatt Place at a rate available at the time, which was significantly higher than the original rate, which I declined and decided to make alternative arrangements. Overall, this was an appalling customer service from Hyatt - zero care for the customers who chose their brand. They will only care if you book directly with them, but if you resrve via booking.con be ready for ‘get lost’ type treatment.

Breakfast was pretty good (not exceptional) and free, and the room quietness seemed better than most hotels. The bed was quite comfortable.
Carpets throughout the hotel needed vacuuming, including our room when we first arrived. I think a hotel in a suburb of a small city should have free parking.

It was very clean and the rooms were spacious
The staff. There was one lady in the morning who had such a bad attitude and very unhelpful.

Breakfast choices were good.
Room check in a little unusual as key did not work in door and had to be let into room and was told had to change rooms the next day. But the next day a new front desk clerk issued a room key for the same room with no problem. Also, I did not like having to pay for parking.

Our room was huge and the beds were comfortable.
There was quite a bit of mold in the grout of the shower. When I went to make the pull out bed, the sheet that was in the bag (only a single bottom sheet, no pillow case or top sheet) were still dirty and had globs of what looked like food. I tried to call the front desk but kept getting a busy signal. It was already late and we were all in pajamas so I didn't go down to the desk myself. Thank goodness I happened to have an air mattress and sheets with me.

It was clean.
Old. Dark. I didn’t like the fact that pets were walking though the lobby and close to the food area at breakfast.

The trash cans in the rooms were a bit too small for my liking

Overall a good experience, nice breakfast buffet overall, pool was clean and comfortable
Our room wasn’t entirely clean ( I found a gross used glass in a corner of the kitchen), and there weren’t enough blankets for the sofa bed. The breakfast buffet was good overall but wasn’t well stocked, and the oatmeal one day wasn’t prepared properly and was inedible.

I did not have the breakfast and the location was great.
The hotel had an ant issue that was not told to us before check in, we could only utilize one of the beds because an ant was found on the other bed, it was a very uncomfortable stay that didn't help the reason I was there which was for a funeral. It was very disappointing. However, we were compensated for half off one night, which I thought it should have been a full night but I guess something is better then nothing.

The location was great, near restaurants and retail. The breakfast could've been a little better. The oatmeal was cold, I had to warm it in the microwave.

i liked how quiet the AC unit was. i could tell room was cleaned before we arrived. staff was at lobby and attendant, did not have to wait long for check in/check out. tv had chrome cast
the coffee in room tasted horrible. tv in an awkward spot, either need 2 separate tvs or just in one room instead of the middle.
