Unpleasant Visit at the Courtyard "Union Square"

In fairness, Nothing!

It says union square that lures the travellers while it's 18 minutes walking to union square! The overcharge you with the overnight valet parking for 83 dollars especially for those who are visiting and don't know how it works while a public parking next door charges 35 dollars! One more thing, the entrance of the hotel has a dumpster right in front of it.

Very enjoyable stay and I would stay here again!

Good location, staff were hustling and terrific - valets, everyone at the front desk (Anna, Mia, Edmon) - just wonderful and helpful. Made my stay very enjoyable!

It’s in a part of San Fran that is not very optimal - security was great and made me feel very safe. Only drawback is there is a urine smell as soon as I stepped outside the hotel. And I had to avoid stepping on feces on my way to and from Union Square. But I don’t think you can control that so I don’t blame you.

A safe and enjoyable stay in a not-so-safe neighbourhood.

Despite being located just next to the Tenderloin area, security was great once I was in the property and I felt safe while inside. I was surprised that in the small amount of space, the hotel was able to provide a fitness centre and I enjoyed working out in there.

The amount of space in the room was not ideal for solo-travelling as it had two queen-sized beds and if the room can be customised to just have one of them, it will feel more spacious for me as a solo-traveller.

Location is good but I would need a bigger room

Good location and clean rooms and space.

Room was quite small and with 3 adults it was a bit difficult. Parking is 69$ per day which is crazy. No breakfast and a with the price it’s not justifiable

Great hotel to stay at on a budget, just a little too close to the Tenderloin for my liking.

The property and room were clean, you needed a room key to access the lobby and the elevator, so it felt very secure. Staff was really nice, friendly and helpful. There’s a cafe in the lobby so easy access to coffee (although it’s expensive). It’s a small hotel, which made the experience feel a bit more personal. Great if you’re travelling on a budget.

Although the room and hotel were both clean, the fridge smelled like death whenever we opened it, so we weren’t able to use it. The location was both good and bad. Good because it was walking distance to several bars, restaurants, and Chinatown. Bad because it was right on the edge of the Tenderloin, so you it was a little sketch sometimes and you have to be very aware of your surroundings and where you’re walking because you can very easily stumble right in to the Tenderloin if you’re paying attention.

It was pleasant I just felt uncomfortable about the neighborhood.

The area made me a little nervous when traveling with young children especially in the evening.

Excellent would definitely come back.

The room was spacious, the location was excellent, the staff was very friendly and helpful and everything was clean and nice.

The bathroom was a little tight but over all loved staying here

Superb

The staff was great, the rooms were neat and clean, and overall, it was very comfortable.

They did over book the first night we were there. So we didn't get to enjoy our booked room until the next day.

Comfortable, clean stay

Nice, comfortable and clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff in reception. Our safe got locked at one point and reception were quick to send someone up to fix it

Location felt a bit unsafe at night, quite a walk from union square. Food/drink options were limited and pricey

Great location!

Great location near to Union Square, was easy to walk to some of the main San Francisco attractions. Room was small, but clean. Great having the Starbucks cafe on the ground floor.

Felt the rooms were a little dated.
