Owners were very accommodating and check in with us through out our stay to make sure we were comfortable. Home was spotless, It is a beautifully restored heritage home. Easy walking to many eateries and vintage shops. Enjoyed the porches for morning coffee and pastries ( bought at nearby shop)

The owner was extremely helpful and friendly from the very moment we booked. She answered all our practical questions promptly by mail, on site made room for the bikes we rented in their private shed so these would be safe, gave us advice about our visit and made us feel truly at home. Everything was super clean, fully equipped and cozy. The house itself is a little gem, two steps away from "The Drive". Public transport and bike lanes nearby. The lovely garden with sitting area are an amazing spot to enjoy a drink or a meal outside.
Having to catch our flight back. We'd have loved to stay longer.

the location of the ivy is in a good neighborhood. two streets away is commercial street with plenty of shops and restaurants. We were a short taxi ride to our cruise ship.
no problems

Great neighborhood and very close to the people we were visiting.
Lots of stairs to even get to the front door. Not recommended for people with impaired mobility.

The Ivy has been renovated to a high standard. We were in what I think is the smallest room, Molly, but it was still more than big enough for our 3 night stay. Lovely towels and bathrobes. Great shower. Heating and air con depending on time of year. Nice space to sit out on at the front .
We already had restaurant reservations but there is a variety of options within easy walking distance.
Magrit was very friendly when we met her and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed.
There wasn't anything not to like

fabulous place to stay. The property is lovely and the staff were very helpful.Location was perfect. There is a great coffee place five minutes away ..and then a lovely walk after. There are also many dinner options. We actually had a rental car but ubered so easily to and from downtown for dinner. We stayed in the Retreat which was lovely. We are at a spot in Victoria now and I miss that bathroom already!!
The apt is under the house and somewhat dark…but not enough to not stay there..

Nothing. It was perfect.

Amazing location - you are steps away from every type of food you could want. East access to downtown and sightseeing using the metro or city bike rentals are nearby. A quiet, clean, and relaxing place to unwind after a busy day! We will for sure come back.
everything was amazing - the only improvement would be that the light on the HVAC system is really bright when you’re trying to seller - would be great if there were a way to turn off the screen or a cover on it for sleep :)

The owners are lovely and very helpful and the location is fantastic with easy access to shops, restaurants, public transport, live theatre and art galleries. The quality of the furnishings in the room are excellent. Environmental credentials are good with composting provided. A range of different milks are available in the small fridge and a great selection of teas and coffees. Bathroom products are also good quality. I would definitely stay there again.

The room was lovely and had everything I needed to make my short stay comfortable. The electric fireplace is a charming feature and the heated bathroom floor was a treat. The location was very convenient for my visit and so was the self check-in and self checkout.

First time in a guests house and it was great!
Lovely atmosphere, great room, delicate nice design, and exactly what's expected from a suburb Vancouver neighborhood.
The most comfortable bed I had during my trips so far!
The only problematic thing is the line bus (20 I think) which wasn't that frequently good to the neighborhood.

Stayed in the IVY room (king). The room was spacious but cozy. Loved the fireplace! Bed linens were so soft &
Exceptional quality. We were welcomed with a lovely Okanagan wine & glasses. The coffee was terrific & fresh cream pods in refrigerator was fantastic. Tea selection very nice as were the honey packets. The outdoor sitting areas were lovely & we thoroughly enjoyed them. Terrific restaurants, food markets and nearby small shops were fantastic. The owner (Janet) was incredibly hospitable & so helpful. This place is a GEM & we’ll definitely be back again. Would be perfect stay for a special occasion!

The property was immaculately clean and felt very homely. Although the house was a period property, the room had been modernised to a high standard. The hosts were lovely and extremely helpful.

We felt at home, it's a room that has all necessary for a couple to live in, for a long time. Kitchen was fully equipped. / bed was comfortable. / bath as well as a shower - you can chose what you fell like / table to work on or eat. really great
lights are too dim.
as the house is very old and renovated, when entering the building there is a bad smell. don't know if that could be fixed.
It's our first time in Vancouver, so can't recommend on the location. it's a nice neighborhood

beautiful property in a very charming and quiet neighborhood, super clean, very convenient location, close to the main bike path. lots of nice restaurants around the neighborhood. coffee machine in the room.
very small room, too many pillows (6 or 7), it’s nice for decorations for whole house, but not practical for guests only staying in one room. there are no space for personal stuff.

The house is wonderfully decorated. Whoever was responsible for decorating the house has a really good eye. They really thought of everything to make the stay really nice.
The parking is a little bit of a problem. It is street parking and the street has a lot of cars parked on it st all times. I still managed to find a parking spit, but I was a little bit concerned because some of the surrounding streets are permit only.

Margot and Chad (owners) were exceptionally responsive to our needs. They were a delight to interact with.
The bathroom could be a bit larger but it was beautifully decorated.

Everything was just perfect. The house is so beautiful and in our room every detail was thought through and tastefully chosen. Margit and Janet are super friendly and incredibly helpful.
We enjoyed to be so close to the restaurants and cafes at commercial drive (3 min. walk) and that downtown was only a short bus ride away.

Very charming home with very nice and comfortable private furnished bedrooms each with modern bathroom. Exceptionally clean and nicely decorated. Very clean Rooms have very nice views and access to outdoor sitting terraces. Great location for walking to many restaurants and shops on Commercial Drive. Was great for our 4-day stay in Vancouver.

Great location, 10 minute walk max to tons of great restaurants and shops on commercial dr. including grocery stores and convenience locations, as well as the #20 bus route that takes you right downtown. The room was absolutely gorgeous, heated floor in the bathroom was such a bonus! We took a relaxing soak in the luxurious tub and were delighted with the provided soaps, lotions, and bubble bath! The towels were lush and the bathrobes were perfect. We almost wished it had been chillier so we could have taken advantage of the fireplace. The room was bright and airy and the temperature control was fabulous, always comfortable. We enjoyed coffee on the second floor terrace in the morning, too. If there were other tenants in the house we didn’t notice - although it is a heritage building we found it very quiet and private! We are so looking forward to our next trip to Vancouver and hope to book at the Ivy again.
Everything was great!
