I actually had to postpone this trip due to personal reasons and the owner was kind enough to understand and accomodate
my request. Their customer service went above and beyond my expectations, which is the most important in a transaction like this. Highly recommended.

Great location, very quiet, we got upgrade on arrival and actually had more then we actually needed. Like the place a lot. The place provided everything what we needed.

This unit advertises a bathroom. If that is an important amenity for your stay, I would steer clear of this property. We arrived to this location in mid-January during a snow storm. The morning after our arrival the toilet and shower began overflowing sewer water. We used several items from the kitchen and all the towels to restrict the flooding to the bathroom alone. When we talked to the property manager on site and the owner, it was clear that a plumber would not fix the issue for the remaining 3 nights of our stay. We asked Vance, the owner, for a reduced rate or refund so that we could find lodging elsewhere. Vance not only refused but he criticized our decision to book a stay at his location during winter months. Statements from Vance, “I’m sorry for your plight. There is no provision for inclement weather conditions. You are at 6,000 feet above sea level in early January. What did you expect?” When we decided to discuss the matter with booking.com instead of directly with Vance he replied, “You only want money. Your blackmail attempt just won’t work. Try prayer.” For 4 days in 5 feet of new snow we went #1 on the deck outside the unit and #2 at the trees at the bottom of the stairs. The guests in the upstairs unit were gracious enough to let us take showers. My bad review with the property is not the plumbing issue…all properties will encounter this. My bad review is for Vance.

Yosemite West is a great location in the national park, 30min drive to Yosemite Valley, 20min from the first main viewpoints. The apartment is in the middle of trees. There are everything to cook!
It’s an area quite high so if it’s snowy/icy, and not snow cleared yet, it’s better to try to park the car in the last top of uphill if the car doesn’t have the right equipment, because it’s downhill.

The location was great but during winter it's important to check if you need chains for your tires because of snow and ice. The room was very clean and very cozy, as its name suggests.
We received the wrong door code and couldn't get it. Luckily the WiFi password was correct, otherwise we would have had to drive 30 minutes to the nearest place with WiFi or cell service. We tried calling the contact on several occasions but couldn't get through and had to wait an hour at night before getting the correct door code. It would otherwise not be such a hassle, but the limited connectivity and cell service made it more challenging. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay!

great location, the kitchen had many utensils
For the price we paid we expected way more - the internet was very slow and the furniture quite run-down

The proximity to the park was the best perk about the place. The place was very clean. The instructions were great. The photos are accurate. The host communicated as well as I could have hoped for prior to my arrival.
As others have pointed out, there is noise from the unit above. I suggest ear plugs and/or a sound machine. Thankfully the people staying the same time as me weren't partiers but I could easily hear them walking around upstairs.
I wish the picture of the shower included the shower floor. From the stone walls in the picture I thought this was going to be a very nice shower. The shower was fine, but the floor had mild staining from water rust (I'm guessing) and the floor was very tilted. This is fine, it just wasn't obvious from the pictures.

The place was absolutely beautiful! It was like hanging out in the trees! It was also extremely convenient to the Yosemite Valley.
There were many black flies inside and a few big black ants.

Great location inside NP. Good size for solo or couple. Bed was comfortable. Easy check in/out.
bathroom was pretty dirty ( streaks in toilet, lots of mold in shower, stains all over glass), Poor value (overpriced for size and condition of property).

close to the valley. Kitchen a plus
Housekeeping could have been better.
Dirty Dish left in sink. extra toilet paper and Kleenex would have been a plus. Dirty table and chairs on balcony.

Very well stocked cottage. Has a fax fireplace that gives offa lot of heat, and another wall heater. Ceiling fan, portable fan. Full kitchen with pots and pans, and silverware. Microwave, coffee grinder and coffeemaker, with beans supplied. Very clean, bathroom with walk-in shower and heat lamp.
T.V. is a larger flat scteen with Dish supplying plenty of channels. A table and counter to eat at. A comfortable love couch, and a more comfortable wueen bed. A nice outside deck with a table and chairs. Along with a BBQ. My wife & I highly recommend this cottage!
.A lot of stairs to climb, buthas dual handrails and LED lights a night. A minor inconvenience

Such a wonderfully put together rental property. I can’t put my finger on exactly what made it so great; but I think it’s that everything felt so well thought out and we had everything we needed. We could have easily enjoyed staying here for more than two nights.
Our only complaint was the pillows left a lot to be desired and made comfy sleep a bit difficult.

Despite our booking was for 3 and we actually wrote a message to the owner, the second bed was not ready and we had to find bed linnen and prepare it.
Beds are too soft.

The location was great. The property was easy to find. Parking was simple and available. The inside was warm and cozy upon our cold and snowy arrival. It felt safe. The rules and other information was clearly and easily displayed on the wall. The kitchen and its amenities were nice to have.
I had to call the host (on our way to the property) to ask for the code to get in because I hadn't received it. The phone conversation I had with the host didn't show very good customer service- meaning I didn't feel that the host was as kind as they should be to a customer. My next complaint has to do with housekeeping, the shower drain had a nest of hair sitting on it from the previous tenants (I assume). I wish the place would've been cleaned more thoroughly. Lastly, I'd like to add that this condo has a condo above it, and there's not much sound barrier between the two. You can clearly her footsteps and suitcases rolling on the floor above. At one point we could smell their coffee brewing.

Location location, location! The proximity to Yosemite Valley is unbeatable.
The bedding was old and ratty. No full size sofa to lounge.

The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and the location is woodsy and beautiful, with a balcony with a table and chairs. The Hideaway is not too far from the Yosemite Valley and Mariposa Grove. Nice hot shower!
There seemed to be an ant problem in the bathroom, but nothing too over the top. The WiFi was a bit spotty and no cell service in the house, but there was a land line phone for emergencies and checking road closures.

Liked the quite location. Gave us access to Yosemeti without having to worry about day permits. Gave us a chance to acclimate to the higher elevations before going on our 10-day backpacking trip (which we did have a permit for!). Liked being able to save money by cooking and having breakfast. Glad we had the heads up that we should stop well before arriving to buy supplies. Place had everything we needed to have some simple meals. And everything was very clean.
Internet connection didn't work. We finally arrived back one evening early enough to call about it - turns out they had changed their provider but hadn't yet updated anything given to those staying. No issues after that. Had that information been included at the outset, rating would have been at the top.
