All staff very welcoming and helpful.
Room very comfortable and no fault found.
Good selection of meals for meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Plenty of parking.
Nothing to say here.

It’s convenient and close to my father house.
It appeared we were in a dog room, which is not what I paid for as didn’t take my dog.

Great staff. Very comfortable bed and very quiet location. Plenty of free parking
Room was a little tired

Room we stayed in large watermark stain on ceiling from a leek . Shower not as clean as expected grout dirty shower tray grubby . Shower cubicle over window with no blind people walking past can see out line off people in shower .no mirror by dresser table so found it hard todo hair and make up . Room service did not make bed or replace towels and tea coffee and milk .
Main building very good staff very friendly . Meal lovely order the deal two meals and drinks for £25.00 ended up paying more as the larger they used in the shandy we asked for was not on the offer listed when we order we asked for the deal and asked just for white wine and shandy . Also was told we could order an hot drink in with the offer .also we pre booked our breakfast for to days at ful price if we had order while there would have got 20% off each breakfast . So in end paid around £10 extra on evening meal and £5 extra on breakfasts .

Rooms clean and tidy. The conservatory is looking a bit tired as are some other areas.
But all clean which is the main thing.

All in one place, good for food, breakfast and evening meal, nice enough rooms. Food was well cooked and presented.
The bathroom in our room although clean could do with an update.

All very good - staff really excellent. Friendly, kind, keen to go above and beyond.
The room was a bit cold - the heating didn't appear to be working.

Room was a good size with a lovely big bed. It was nice and clean and met all of our requirements.
Service in the pub was a little bit slow. I was stood at the bar for about 5 minutes and there was nobody coming to serve me despite lots of people walking past and seeing me stood there.

Set in lovely surroundings. Comfy, clean rooms . Love the fact there is an iron, as we were there for a wedding. Cedars also employ staff with disabilities, but wow what staff. Seriously, polite, provide excellent service and are friendly and helpful.
Local bus timetables would be good , to encourage folk to explore and not use cars.
4.5
Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice. Although the poached eggs did not have soft yolks.
Room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Dinner was very good except for roast potatoes, which were greasy. More like deep fried.
Function room was in need of some attention. Curtain rail was coming away from the wall.

General stay
Dinner (breakfasts were good). Slows - twelve minutes to be asked re a drink before meal. then 15 mins for drink. before being asked to order meal. Each evening. The staff were good - not knocking them at all, they were pleasant and cheerful) but needed training to look at people/eye contact/think/ask. Each evening was the same.

Beakfast was average.
Will not stay again.
The location was great, and the sun was shining.

All of the above
The room key was not exclusive to us 3 others were able to get in with a key! I was given someone else's invoice. Poached eggs really overcooked. But I'd stay again!

The check in was quick and easy, the room was good and had everything we would want and warm. The room was in a separate courtyard, but that made it quiet which was appreciated.
Sunday evening meal was a roast and the server was bubbly and took time to explain and kept up communications (SAM). We even had a laugh about the clamp I noticed holding something together above us. The food was good and service from all staff that evening was good.
Service and communication was never an issue and everyone was friendly during our stay
The one big disappointment was breakfast. On the first morning the Chef didn't show up (we found out this later), so breakfast was extremely slow and I actually didn't get what I ordered. Also the server had to cope with conference guests seemingly on her own. The next morning the service was better though we did have a fire alarm go off, nothing was mentioned to us at breakfast and the server was still on her own. One customer's food was served by the server and a gentleman in normal clothing. The last breakfast was as I would expect, the server had help and presumably a chef was in the kitchen. I have no complaints against the server, circumstances were against her.
The other concern is a bedside spot light in our room had the conductors showing at the back of the lamp (not bare wires), it being a metal lamp I would expect it 3 wires not 2 as any earth connection would be poor at least if it was connected to the base as the base and the lamp arm were loose to say the least. I reported this and it was properly noted.
Why wasn't this picked up.
One last comment, and its not limited to this hotel, but calling my wife and I "guys" most times we were spoken to is not appreciated. I'm a guy, my wife is not.

Sound insulation between rooms appalling, could hear every sound from adjacent rooms, might as well have been in the same room.

Bit of noise from other rooms and when people outside.

The room was excellent, it was clean and had everything in it that was needed for a comfy stay. I even asked for extra tea & coffee sachets and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was wonderful, large and comfy.
The restaurant was a little disorganised and disappointing. Because we had a dog we were told we could only eat in one particular part of the restaurant, as another part that was normally accessible was already laid up for breakfast the following day, this was 6pm at night! On our first night there was only 50% of the menu available. The second night we had the same seating problem, they would not let us into the extended bar area, stating it was laid up for breakfast the following morning (again, 6pm at night). I explained I was disabled and sitting on high chairs was difficult but still they would not help us - very disappointing! Lots of missed opportunities for growth & development. Staff need to communicate better by explaining concept of food ordering and be a little more supple by helping guests, it did seem as though paying restaurant guests were too much trouble to be looked after, a shame as it’s a lovely place.
