Property was amazing right outside Big Bend National Park. Super cute, clean and cozy for our family of 4. Kids loved the loft! Totally as advertised. Easy communication with owners who made themselves very accessible if need be. Near everything we needed - we loved walking to all the super fun restaurants right across the road! Would 100% stay here again - LOVED it!!

Great access to the National Park and local amenities of Terlingua. We stayed with our two children 8 and 10 who got a real kick out of the loft sleeping. Great shaded outdoor area. The cabin has all needs covered and set up to cook. The owner advice prior to arriving super useful. Would recommend highly.

The cabin was very comfortable, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. It’s close to the restaurants in Terlingua, and a short drive to the National Park. Very nice porch. The pictures were accurate. The hosts offered helpful info and communication. We would recommend this place.

This cabin was perfect for our trip to Big Bend. My husband and I spent 3 days hiking in the park and this place was well situated. Everything was exactly as advertised and we were very comfortable there!
The hosts were very responsive when we had questions.
Definitely recommend staying here

This cabin was the perfect location for our 3 person adult family hiking trip to Big Bend. It was clean, all the beds were very comfortable, the loft is large enough for adults and also very comfortable. It is maybe 15 minutes to the Big bend entrance gate, so a short drive to all the hiking areas. Based on what we researched for other lodging before choosing this, the cabin was the right choice by a mile. The casitas and RV's you see as other rental options are all much smaller. It was SO nice to have a fully equipped kitchen and hot showers after a full day of hard hikes. Even back to back showers and we never had an issue with hot water. The place was dead quiet after about 10pm, and not noisy before that as the small ghost town isn't very busy (even on New Years). The owners communicated well, pay attention to their tips on shopping etc!! I highly recommend this place to have all you need for an easy and comfortable stay. For food we ate at Starlight in the ghost town which was good, and twice at a food truck 8 mins north in Terlingua called El Gordo's which was fantastic food and quantity as you exit the park area coming back to the cabin.

The property was exactly as described and made a terrific base camp for exploring the Big Bend region. The house was clean and comfortable and had all the amenities needed for my trip. The location was perfectly situated between Big Bend National Park as well as Big Bend Ranch State Park, and I highly recommend both! The Mexican restaurant directly across the street was also a nice feature. Communication with the owners was great and check-in/check-out was simple. I would definitely stay here again when I make it back to Terlingua.

We attended the Terlingua Chili Cookoff and perfect place to stay . It was close to everything. The house was perfect for me and my husband. The host was very easy to work with but no problems.

This property was great for the two of us, cozy and comfortable. The window units kept us cool in the 90+ degree weather, especially after we came back from a long day of hiking in Big Bend! I would definitely rent this place again for a trip down to Big Bend NP or the Big Bend Ranch State Park.

The house was very clean, but the best part was the view from the porch which had comfy rocking chairs. Great night sky photography.

the property was exactly as advertised. Very clean, and convenient to Big Bend. It was simple, but meat our needs perfectly. My friend and I had a problem with starting the heated, and the Host picked up the phone immediately and was very kind. He just talked us through it and worked our perfectly. We were even able to get a dinner at the Star Light Theater. We really had a great time, and the property worked out wonderfully!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed spending 3 nights at Lorna’s Cabin. It was a comfortable place to stay after a day of exploring the park. The porch provided a great place to sit and enjoy the night breeze and star gazing. The cabin was well equipped and the owners communicated with us so we knew what to expect and the check out requirements.

Comfortable, great location, will stay here again
Lorna's cabin fits right into the quirky, quiet Terlingua ghost town vibe. Our two teens loved the loft and we all appreciated the porch for meals and star gazing. You can walk to funky art shops, original mining town buildings/ruins, and the infamous Starlight Lounge and Front Porch. This is great for a family of 3 or 4 if you all enjoy each others company. And don't mind sharing a small bathroom. Big Bend is very close and we could hike every day and still have time to relax once we got back to the cabin. A great price for the location and comfort!

a fun place to stay in a quirky. area.
We were happy to spend 4 nights here. We were able to get cell phone service and the internet. The kitchen was small but well equipped. We only observation would be the need for more seating in the open area.

Best place to stay
This place was amazing!!! It was walking distance to everything in this cute little town. It also fit our family of four perfect! The kids loved staying up in the loft! The kids also had plenty of room outside to run around and explore. The porch was great for relaxing.

Just right
This cabin is located in the middle of Terlingua Ghost Town, right off the main road and across the street from a great restaurant. All the rooms were the perfect size for two and super clean. Loved the porch for watching the morning sunrise while enjoying a cup of coffee. The chairs out by the firepit/grill were nice for stargazing.
The only things to be aware of (definitely not negatives) are that since the cabin is right off the main road, there is noise and lights into the bedroom from cars going by. It wasn't an issue for us, if you're a light sleeper, it might be. There is a fan in the bedroom for white noise to help with that. There is no toaster that we saw, but otherwise, the kitchen was very well stocked and providing coffee and dry creamer so we didn't have to pack any was much appreciated!
Would definitely recommend this cabin and we'd stay here again if we're in the area!

Amazing Terlinga Stay!
The stay was amazing! The beds were comfy the set up was great, and the bathroom was spotless when we came in! They have all the comforts away from home that you would need. Also you’re in a walking distance of a restaurant in which you can eat and you’re a five minute drive from a small convenience store. This was one of the best days I’ve ever had and the fire pit was great to have fireside chat with my friends! When I go back to BIG BEND I am for sure staying here again

Very nice place to stay. We loved sitting by the firepit and star gazing.
The house was very nice and cozy, with everything you need. The bed was very comfy. The location was great and easy to find due to the owner sending great instructions. (GPS is very iffy there).

Graham Family Road trip
The cabin was great. Easy access to the park and to horse riding, kayaking. Local restaurants were very good.
There is no sign with the cabin name, so I would suggest printing a picture from the website to locate it more easily.

Sweet little cabin
This was a great place to stay for our visit to Big Bend National Park. Our needs were simple, and Lorna's Cabin met them nicely. Bed was comfortable for two, kitchen was good for lunch and light dinner prep, and it would be hard to be more convenient to the West entrance to the park. The porch and 'yard' were great for late dining and stargazing. Janet and Daryl were great hosts to deal with.

Perfect Location
Located right as you enter the Terlingua Ghost Town, sits this quaint little house. Very clean, very well equipped house. Everything was included, from bed linens, dish soap, towels, spices to ice trays. We were pleasantly surprised at everything this house had. With in walking distance to 1 restaurant that is open daily and 1 that is open on weekends. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The wifi was strong and the owner was readily available if needed.

Cute little house in a great location
We loved staying at this little cabin. It was very convenient to get into Big Bend, the store nearby had just about everything we needed that we forgot to bring with us. Getting ahold of the owner for help was easy and they helped us find a tire repair place. The place was perfect size for us, we spend most of our time hiking, but our evenings we could cookout on the grill and eat on the patio to enjoy the cool evenings.
There was only one thing I think needs to be addressed and that is the apparent water leak around the base of the bathroom sink cabinet that has left the wood black and swollen and looked like black mold in the wood. It should be replaced for health reasons.

Excellent Mother's Day Trip!
Very clean, well furnished, and matched the description exactly as shown. It was a great enhancement to a perfect alpine setting.

For Terlingua, the accommodations are very good and in an excellent location. If the cabin were not located in a town like Terlingua, I’d say it’s very modest and grossly overpriced. But for remote Terlingua, it’s a very decent deal. I’d stay there again on our next excursion to Big Bend country. One legitimate complaint is that the single-handle control valve in the shower was not always capable of blending a comfortable mix of hot and cold water, no matter how hard my wife and I tried. The first night it worked ok, although the water temp was extremely sensitive to handle position. But the second night, the water temp was either ice cold or scalding - and I do mean scalding! - hot. I “showered” by pouring a cup of blended cold/hot water over my head and body about 30 times. OK for one night, but I would have notified the property manager if we had planned on staying longer than two nights.

Best place to stay for Big Bend NP
Great experience! Easy check-in and check-out. Good water quality. Beautiful dark night sky. Walking distance to good restaurants. Quiet (some traffic from restaurant crowd but we didn’t really notice it). Close to NP! Would definitely stay here again!
