We enjoyed the breakfasts and found the staff friendly.
Bathroom very small. For those who like us are retired, a lift would be a big help.
4.3
The best thing was the sea view from the bay window, watching the tide go in and out and the lights under Scarborough Castle on the promenade road twinkling when it went dark
The second best was the tasty breakfasts!
4.3
Lovely location and friendly staff. A little dated but you get what you pay for. Bathroom was very small but good for needs. Breakfast was brilliant loved it.
Slightly dated and bathroom very small.
4.3
The view from the guest house was lovely right to bay with back drop to the sea
Nothing really it was all round you if you wanted it or away from if you don't want it
4.3
Lovely place, bit dated but comfortable. We was in room 4 and the plumbing was quite noisy in the bathroom especially when flushed the toilet lol. Rooms smaller than they look in the pictures but had everything we needed.

Brilliant location overlooking the sea. Able to park right outside using a parking permit. Breakfasts were beautifully cooked. A really good find.
I couldn't find any faults.

Down to earth, comfortable room, lovely firm mattress, friendly owners, wi-fi worked great, dinky little kettle, back door opened onto a brilliant sea view, sea only a few minutes down the hillside. Two One Stop shops within a a few hundred yards, a variety of cafes used by locals, and the two we visited were very good. 15 minute stroll to the centre of Scarborough shopping area, huge array of shops. Were given a 'free pass' to stick in the car to enable parking on the street overnight. We wanted to be left to our own devices and were completely hassle free. Free biscuits and drink sachets near the entrance, a welcome treat after being out all day. The King Richard 3 pub, bucket of chips and side dish of baked beans between two, one beer, sat outside watching the harbour and people walking by, less than £7 - perfect. Lovely Scarborough beaches.
(Room 1) tap very noisy, reluctant to use it late at night for fear of disturbing other guests, had to use quieter hot water. Some electrics looked very handy-man ish (e.g. socket power strip screwed onto chest of drawers). A dustpan and cleaning cloths would have been useful in case we made a mess - fortunately we managed not to. Perhaps they were somewhere obvious and we didn't see them. Also, T.V. almost in line of sight of main light when watching from bed, so had to try and shade eyes. Door looked like it had been broken into in the past, guess will be changed for next season. But all in all very minor niggles.

Location was nice but advert says panoramic views ours was over looking the street behind the sea view.
Rooms small, shower was ridiculously small and tv only had 4 channels. Rooms very outdated. Would not stay there again.

We stayed in room 8 the view was fantastic opening the curtains to see the sea was a high point of our stay the breakfast was great all white place settings spotless glad to see teapots that kept tea hot

Excellent breakfast, excellent view but the room itself was basic and the walls thin, we could hear what was going on in the next room!
