The views were fantastic, the staff were very helpful and friendly.
The hotel needs a complete refurbishment, very dated and decor in a terrible state.

The staff were friendly and welcoming
The doors banged really loudly
Some modernisation would benefit the hotel
It’s a bit dated

Whatever Was showed in the pic, the room was much smaller and nothing like the pic. We booked two rooms as we were four friends, so my other friends got little better room nearly matching to the pic but my room was small and nothing like the pic.

The view was stunning, my room overlooked the ocean which was beautiful and serene. It was a lovely spot to people watch as well. The room was cosy, and had a kettle, some tea, milk and sugar. There was a little TV in the room but it was not used. Adequate toilet, with hot water. No faults at all! Great location, a few minutes away from the town centre.

Only good thing we liked was the view of the bay
Nothing really to like ... staff were rude... understaffed
When we arrived note on reception saying go to bar if no one is available... go to the bar and note saying go to reception if no one available, had to search for someone to book us in ... no car parking .... breakfast was a joke ... nothing was hot .. just like warm .. which made the bacon and sausage chewy..... definitely not the place to go for a nice experience....room was small for a double and not the cleanest ... so if you want basic stay overnight then a b&b would be better wouldn't recommend to anyone

Nothing.
Uninhabitable. Rude. Racist. Outright filthy.
I cannot warn people to stay away from this hotel enough. They are charging £130 for rooms which are uncleaned, unhygienic, dirty and falling apart. I do not take writing this review lightly but I’m absolutely gobsmacked at the condition of the room when we arrived and the attitude we were met with upon informing reception of our concerns and issues.
I will let the photos speak for themselves… but the bed wasn’t even cleaned or changed and had black speckles on. Along with bodily fluid stains on the bedding. The wallpaper is falling off and there is damp all over the rooms and the communal areas. Rubbish left from the previous guests. Dust everywhere. Black mould in the bathroom, taps missing their tops and a filthy bath tub that you would leave dirtier than when you came in…
Discussed the issues with reception which was unmanned so the lovely maintenance man helped us as much as he could. The cleaner offered to reclean the room, as we were unable to be moved, we allowed the clean to begin but upon reflection we simply could not stay here.
We discussed the issues and concerns with the receptionist where we were met with an attitude of “I’ve only just started my shift. Not my problem.” Attitude… we requested a refund to find alternative accommodation she advised she couldn’t refund us booking.com had to initiate it as we booked through them.
Furthermore, she proceeded to describe her colleague in an uneducated and insensitive manner regarding his ethnicity which I was astounded by. As was my partner who is Jamaican. After this there was absolutely no resolution for us and we felt so uncomfortable being there.
Reported to Booking.com who refused to provide a refund as the hotel refused to cooperate and we were left without a resolution.
After much arguing, we received 50% back from the hotel…. Yes only half of what we paid of our hard earned money. Absolutely appalling. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
The rooms do not

The Location is very good with parking which is why we chose this hotel as well as the cost
The property is very tired and dated in desperate need of decorating and updating the staff were polite but not really interested in complaints

Nothing i felt like I needed a shower after we left it was so dirty
Everything was hideous the woman on the front desk desk was rude and homophobic. The room was filthy dirty. We had to sleep on towels!
The toilet had poop in on our arrival. No soap. Floors on an angle. Not good enough for anyone.
3.0
The view from the room is the only good thing.
Our room was absolutely filthy. Toilet not cleaned with faeces on the rim. The dust was months old and all over the room. Carpet dirty. Walls stained and damaged.
4.0
location.
dirty stained bed sheet, dirty stained towel left in bathroom. parking wasn’t easy. not many staff about in the day, reception unmanned mostly and couldn’t get through to anyone on the phone beforehand. tired carpet flooring and walls.

Breakfast was poor and basic
Cornwall itself is lovely. The hotel was tired and old fashioned. Staff intent on clearing away things quickly in dining area.
Being asked to sit on a small inner table when I wanted to sit at the window to view beach, I thought was an unnecessary request. Tables were all set up the same and it was not at all busy.
Where should I start!?
The room was dusty, hadn’t been cleaned properly. Every single floorboard creaked loudly. Little or none in the very basic soap dispensers.
Filthy window that overlooked bin area. No privacy as overlooked once dark curtains were drawn.
Toilet brush with excrement from previous guests.
Doors to and from lift were dirty and banged loudly.
Reception male person extremely unfriendly.

ideal location in easy walk to and from beach, town and railway station. Friendly helpful staff who made me feel at home. Room with a beautiful beach and harbour view, could watch the sunrise from bed through the window.
I liked everything 🤗

as a last minute booking was amazing to get an upgrade to a sea view room. lovely location and view! comfortable ish bed…
the entire room was on an angle, you could tell by looking at the desk. the were a few marks on the bedding (old stains I think) which for £100 you don’t expect. all the floorboards creaked I felt awful for the people below. the shower worked but there was no hot water and we tried every which way to get it but nothing came out so no shower in the morning was a bit of a disappointment.
9.0
The location of the hotel right near the beach
Walking distances towards the shops
The floor was so noisy everytime we walked, i was afraid we would wake up the other people staying below us
3.0
Good location, nice sea view room
A few team members were kind and helpful, but one very rude, whom I believe was the owner,
Family room with only a shower, not ideal.

Location is great. Close to beach and St Ives railway station only a short walk into town.
Lack of parking causes a problem but this is a common theme in St Ives. Rooms only serviced on request and ours wasn’t despite asking.

The staff were welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived and also made my dog feel welcome too! We had breakfast at the hotel during sunrise which was beautiful and the food was of a good standard! Overall a fantastic stay and would definitely return!
