Persone fantastiche, ostello stupendo, vivace e colorato. Super consigliato!

The few good things of this hostel are the happy hour with free Capirina that facilitates the socializing, and the location in the old town. Cleanliness is also on point, with the maids taking care of the place several times during the day.
Unfortunately there were too many things that in my opinion didn't justify the relatively high price.
- no kitchen at all, no fridge, nothing.
- credit card payment not accepted (in Brazil you can pay by card everywhere)
- very indoor small common room, with only two desks. If you need to work on your laptop, good luck to find a free spot.
- The bottom of my old wooden bed fell apart during the night, which basically impeded my sleep, and the day after I got severe back pain. I found unacceptable such negligence from the owners, (but after all who cares, we are just the people giving them the money, right? why should we expect some basic comfort). I was too exhausted to ask for refund, but I regret not having done it. Of course I didn't get any apologies either.
- The cherry on the cake is that you have to make the bed yourself and in the morning un-make it and bring the sheets at the reception.

Tudo

Great location, breakfast was one of the best we’ve had & the staff went over and above to make our time in Salvador perfect
Nothing we didn’t like, only note is just that the city is super lively and there is always lots of music playing. It can be a bit noisy up until 11pm, but we weren’t going to bed before then so it wasn’t a problem!

This hostel was very social and the breakfast was amazing. The owner is really knowledgeable about the area and places to go that are nearby. I’d recommend arriving during the day while he is there so that you can receive the necessary information at check in.
I would recommend arriving here during the day as the staff at night were quite unwelcoming and unhelpful.

Free Caipirinhas in the evenings and great breakfast included! Very good location, very social hostel

One of my favourite hostels I’ve stayed in, mainly because of the social atmosphere it creates. There are several different communal areas to socialise in and the Caipirinha happy hour everyday brings everyone together and helps new guests to meet everyone.

Great atmosphere! Stemming from the free communal breakfast, free caipirinha hour and brilliant staff.
Could do with another communal bathroom/shower... but obviously have to try work that in to limited space

- great location, amazing breakfast, very social atmosphere
- we stayed in a separate house around the corner, room was big enough and the AC worked
Soap in the bathroom would be great

Nice atmosphere and good breakfast. The pool and the Happy hour encouraged socializing a lot.
The place felt a bit too little for the amount of people, and there definitely too few bathrooms.

Really nice hostel, nice bed, nice vibe, welcoming, easy to meet new people, clean. There’s a really nice breakfast everyday from 8:00 to 12:00 (!), good hang, free Caiprinhas happy hour every day was fun too. good air conditioning in the room, there’s a plug right next to the bed, and a little pool area. It’s right in the middle of Pelourinho which means there’s a lot happening very close by, drum groups, concerts, a main square, some food, narrow streets. but it’s also quite an intense neighbourhood, loud and messy, didn’t always feels the safest at night, although the police was stationed in many corners. nothing bad happened to us since we where a bit careful and wondering in a group, but we heard stories, so just be aware. But the hostel itself feels very safe of course and it’s great to be in the middle of everything. Recommended!
Wasn’t really a problem for me, but there is only one toilet with one shower in each room. So you might have to wait a bit sometimes, again, a very minor thing.
And the location is a big plus and minus at the same time since Pelourinho is not the chillest of neighbourhoods, which eventually was more a plus than a minus.

We slept in the ‘quiet house’ and the room was bright and well decorated. Not even in the slightest run down like some of the hostels and hotels we’ve stayed at. Beautiful hardwood floors and extremely clean with fresh paint and decor. Excellent breakfast, hospitable/helpful owner and staff and the restaurant that goes with the hostel has really great food. Location also can’t be beat.
There was definitely street noise at night until at least midnight (people, music) but it didn’t bother me - you’re in Pelourhino after all. Part of the fun is feeling the pulse there and I doubt you’d find truly quiet accommodation anywhere in that area. Wish there had been two pillows on each bed and more than just a sheet But we got another sheet as soon as we asked and that’s really small stuff compared to the more important things like a comfortable clean space.

Amazing breakfast and the room nice and spacious.. loved the little pool in the outdoor area and it came really handy after a walk in the sun too
Staff really friendly and always there to help us
Great location maybe the best hostel in Salvador 😃
Very happy to have stayed here
All was great thanks
