House had plenty of room for a large party
3.0 / 5.0
Pro: Cool aspect is that it had plenty of space for two families, fresh maintain air and lots of room to park cars and easy kitchen to cook in and entertain. Cons: construction next door was noisy very early in the morning Aug 2024. Very very dusty in every room so my allergies were nuts. Carpet and furniture in main room extremely stained dirty/worn down and gross. Our feet were turning black just from walking in the house and the sign says no shoes allowed.

We stayed over 4th of July. The no air conditioining was a small issue on check-in day, but the house stayed cool after that. The kids loved the game room and laughed for hours playing pool and foosball. I read thwre were no balls fornthe foosball game, sp I bought a 12 pack and ledt it for future renters. Rooms are spacious and kitchen was big. The fridge is small, so we supplemented with coolers. Bring bug repellant for sitting outside, but emjoy the deck. The bbq worked ok, but could use an upgrade. This was our 2nd time at the house, so clearly we like it.

We loved our stay. The house was beautiful and large for our family of 8. In a cul de sac and quiet neighborhood. Creek and woods are the backyard.

We had a wonderful family trip (5 adults, 4 kids). This house had great bones but needed some attention. We definitely felt that we got what we paid for, being that this was extremely affordable. Bathrooms were clean, lots of towels, lots of space and great activities for the kids. There was a great outdoor deck we spent lots of time on. There was little to no phone reception and wifi was awful so it was hard to play movies for the kids. Two of the queen beds didn't have fitted sheets, the bedspreads weren't as pictured and seemed old and dirty. The pictures appeared a lot cleaner than what we experienced. The carpet needed to be cleaned or replaced and furniture was very worn. The rock flooring edging sharply stuck out and got both the adults and kids a few times, so bring bandaids. We were only given 3 trash bags and 3 tiny dish towels (the size of a washcloth). There wasn't a functioning can opener. The larger nonstick pan was peeling very badly and non useable. One adult almost fell through floor vent in the kitchen - the edges are not flush. The vents looked like they hadn't been cleaned in ages, so we spent time cleaning some that were in plain sight. There were spider webs everywhere, both inside and out. The outside table was disgusting so we spent lots of time cleaning that as well. Power went out (no hot water then either) on our second to last day and with no word on it coming back on we packed up and left before dark. The flashlight there had no batteries.

The Vacasa staff were very responsive and helpful with our internet issues. Otherwise, this house looks like nothing (other than the towels) has been updated for at least 15 years. Air vents, door locks, blinds, and the dishwasher were all broken or barely working. Most towel hooks were loose and they didn’t even bother to hide massive stains on the carpet, stove, or furniture. Layers of dust covered fans and light fixtures. A little TLC with a fresh layer of paint and some new carpet would work wonders for this spacious home.

Pros - The living room could accommodate a large gathering. The bedrooms were good sized and well spread out. We were treated to an out of season May snowstorm as we peacefully sat in the living room enjoying the massive windows, watching the snow float to the ground. Upstairs was a game room where the kids hung out most of the time. There was a pool table, a foosball table, and movies we didn’t watch. Saturday morning we woke up to no hot water. Maintenance responded quickly. There was plenty of parking and bath towels.
Cons - Customer service is in India. House cleaners dead bolted the front door, prior to our arrival, so that the code we were given didn’t work. We were instructed to use the lockbox if the door code didn’t work, but no code for the lockbox was given with our check in instructions. House was not clean when we arrived, kitchen floor was sticky, kitchen counter tops were crusty, the stove was down right disgusting, chandelier over the table was filled with cobwebs. The carpet is dirty and stained. We were told at check out to take the sheets off the beds. That was a mistake because the mattress pads were gross with stains all over them. Many of the pots and pans were unusable because of the teflon coating pealing off . There were only 2 small kitchen towels, so I had to use bathroom towels in the kitchen, and not enough forks to go around. The pool table is missing one ball. The Alderhill house is lovely but needs some love and attention.

The home, location and amenities were great! We were very pleased and would consider staying again in the future.
The customer support was lacking. Upon checking in, we coasted a number of light that either had burnt bulbs or were constantly flickering. I immediately shared that via text to Vacasa and was told that a local team member would be in touch…never heard from anyone. I also asked about a sign in the kitchen regarding a stereo receiver it said was inside the hutch but nothing there, so we would not use the numerous speakers mounted about.
Lastly, the pool table had an incomplete set of balls and the foosball table had no balls. Part of the reason we booked the house was because of the game room, sadly we were unable to fully enjoy it.

The property has the most gorgeous windows that allow you to take all the beauty a snowy beautiful morning has to offer! They had many unexpected amenities like a very well put together game room. The beds are ok, fluffier pillows would have made it better. We had a wonderful time in this very warm and cozy cabin.

We had a great time at this home. Great neighborhood. Ten minutes away from towns stores. Shaver Pizza is the best, must try. I would definitely recommend this home.

Great home. Very spacious with lots of amenities. The game room was very useful. The kids and adults loved it. The pool table came in handy and spent most of our night enjoying it. The kitchen was well equipped. The bedrooms were comfortable. Only thing I would say is, it was a bit dusty. The main master room lights were not working. We had to use the night lamps. Overall it was a spacious home. We enjoyed it and would book again!

We had a wonderful time at the house on our weekend birthday getaway. Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy. We celebrated 2 family. Birthday and meals were wonderful in the dining area where we all fit on the table to sit down meals!. Great place

The cabin was very spacious, game room was very entertaining. The cabin exceeded more than what they show in the pictures on Vacasa. The only thing I will say is the AC wasn’t really working, we just opened up the windows to stay cool. They do provide fans, which is nice. Also the refrigerator wasn’t cold at all. We had to put our food in an ice chest but over all. I’d definitely come back! But probably not a hot weekend

Big spacious rooms, large kitchen with most everything you would need, We were there 6 days and spent one whole day just staying in home, it was great, our grandkids loved the game room and there was 10 of us and plenty of room for all.

VRBO was excellent in booking and responding to questions I had for our stay. When we arrived my family and I were mesmerized by the beautiful views and layout of the home. I was pleased to find lots of pots, pans and dish ware which made it easier for our big homemade breakfasts and dinners. The roads leading to the home were clean, and well maintained with nearly no snow on the roads leading to the home. The game room was excellent for all my pool players and every room was comfortable and cozy. The pillows, sheets and blankets were perfect for a good nights rest. As a side note, there’s only one fireplace that is gas. Don’t take fire wood of your own. We reserved this VRBO for four nights and five days however we left about a day and a half early. The water heater stopped working and no on one could shower and washing dishes was a nightmare. As we tried to call from our phones however the service was not good in the area, even with the Wi-Fi that was provided.
Overall, we would stay again but that water heater is essential for a comfortable stay. We will be booking for next year! :)

Perfect for extended families
The cabin is roomy with extra seating in the living and game rooms. The kitchen table was very large too. We appreciated having a garage in the winter. The kids could sled on the property. We will be back.

The layout of the home is perfect for families with all ages. The game room was great… plenty of together space, and separate space. The snow run behind the house was perfect!

I would give 10 stars if I could!
We had a fantastic 4-night stay. The house was immaculately clean upon arrival. The beds were comfortable and the towels big and fluffy. No AC but all of the rooms have fans. The large kitchen was stocked with multiples of everything you could possibly need for a good time (bring your own foil, paper goods etc). The management company (Vacasa) was very responsive and helpful with a small bar-b-que issue. Check in and check out was clear and easy. The kids loved the large upstairs game room with a pool table (I would have preferred ping-pong, less likely for kids to damage), foosball, and the only TV. My only suggestion: I couldn't figure out from the listing the locations of the bathrooms. Besides the downstairs Master, there is a full bathroom downstairs, and a full bathroom upstairs shared by the three upstairs bedrooms. We will definitely try to stay there again!

Nice space for families
Large open area and kitchen, perfect for families to gather, cook and enjoy company.
Good response from the company.
Things to know/feedback and suggestions: There is no cell service. None of us could make calls/text. The wifi can get slow, depending on how many are using it.
We could not find a can opener anywhere.
Suggestion: Buy new toilet seats. They are getting worn.

Perfect Home for Elsa & Olaf
Beware of broken heater! Our much anticipated vacation started out by not being able to access the broken lockbox in order to get into the home. After contacting the property management company, Vacasa, and spending 30 minutes searching for a backup lockbox in 29 degree weather, we finally gained entrance to the home.
As if that weren't disappointing enough, once inside, we discovered the heater was broken. We called Vacasa once again, and all that they could do was create a maintenance ticket. Unfortunately, during our 3 night stay, no one came to maintenance the heater so it was bitter cold the entire time! The hot water tank to the home must also be very small as we ran out of hot water very quickly when showering. Stepping out of a cold shower into a 50 degree home is miserable.
The home also lacked basic amenities such as pot holders, dish towels, cleaning products, can openers, decent cookware (all of them had Teflon coming off); toilet seats were in desperate need of replacement; pool sticks had no felt; upstairs tv remote had no batteries; light fixtures and mirrors were broken; screen was popped out in upstairs window; the front door keypad was broken; dining room slider was broken, etc. Not to mention there were lots of carpet stains and the whole home just needed some TLC.
The most disappointing part of this stay was VRBO’s lack of concern in their customer service department. Vacasa did its part in terms of customer service; they acknowledged the hassles we went through and compensated us for the issues we encountered. Unfortunately, VRBO still assessed us with a significant service fee which is, in part, a fee for providing 24/7 customer service to their guests. Although I attempted reaching VRBO upon our arrival (with no response received), I was told they would not consider compensating us because we should have known to reach out to their 1-800 number on their website despite the fact that all correspondence from VRBO instructs us to reach out to Vacasa, and even provides the Vacasa telephone number (rather than VRBOs) for all customer service issues.
This could be a great home with a little bit of TLC and some minor maintenance. The location is great - about 20 minutes from China Peak, and the neighborhood is nice. Our biggest reservation at this point is renting again from VRBO based on their lack of concern for the issues we encountered.

Family Vacation 2019
Every other year, our family, (2 daughters, 2 son in laws, 3 grandkids and us, husband and wife) take a family trip together. We enjoy staying in a home so we can all be together and make lots of memories. THIS home was really perfect for that. It had more than enough room, bedrooms, sitting areas, bathrooms, deck etc. The eating table sat 10 people. We were all comfortable and had a very nice stay for the 5 days we were there.
The only couple of things I could suggest is that it has a large sliding glass door that goes from the kitchen to the large deck and it could use a screen as it is beautiful weather and would like to keep a lot of the flies etc. out. Plus, it is VERY hard to open and close . Maybe fix that. And the other is the BBQ may have seen it's last days.
But other than those two things we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay there again...

Cozy, clean and family friendly home
Simply amazing home with a lot of room and cool decor. Home was really clean upon arrival and we had everything we needed to have a good time for our stay. Pool table and tv were an added bonus. Kitchen had every utensil/appliance we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

Family snow trip
We loved being able to get together and spend family time the house is very comfortable the one thing I would suggest is splitting up the bunk bed room having one set of bunk beds and maybe a full size bed in that room I felt for my family it was a wasted space at least an adult with thier small children would be able to utilize that room not just 4 kids

I loved the location, the house is located in front of the forest. The house is very spacious and clean. Very cozy and would definitely rent again. Only thing is that it would be better if it was more equipped with more dishes and towels.

Great for large families
We had a nice weekend getaway with our children and grandchildren (6 adults/3 kids). The house was very nice, clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of rooms/beds for everyone and lots of room for everyone to spread out or gather together in the upstairs game room. The gas fireplace was nice ambiance but didn't put out much heat. The cabin has central heat though so it wasn't a problem. The only concern was the number of stairs. It wasn't a problem for us but I would caution anyone with mobility issues, seniors or small children. It's a beautiful cabin and we would definitely stay there again!
