Missing the actual hospitality
The hotel lobby is lovely, our room although small, it was very clean and the bed was really comfortable. I has a quick chat with the girl at the spa and she was wonderful
The reception staff could do with some actual hospitality training. Cold and impersonal, left us feeling like they didn't want us to be there. Very uncomfortable..We were told that breakfast was extremely busy from 9am so the only slot was 8:30am or we can eat in the room. We had to wake up early and be there at 8:30am but up until 9:30am the restaurant was still empty. At check out we were not even asked about out stay. Shower was cold in the morning and the breakfast, although abundant, was lacking quality and vegetarian options. The orange juice was undrinkable and the music too loud at breakfast.

Very comfortable, competent staff
Staff courteous and helpful. Room spacious and bed very comfortable Spa relaxing and some reasonable offers on there, one of which we availed of. Fine food in the restaurant. No noise from traffic as the hotel is in off the roadway. Parking available right up to the front door.
On night one, people in the next room returned (probably inebriated) after 2am and made awful noise for an hour. Had to ring reception but that didn't achieve anything. They were gone the next day, but we were both very fatigued as a result. Our room was too warm and we had to leave the window open for the duration of the stay. Our bath/shower retained water as we washed. Price of the room was at the upper end of the fees we normally pay, yet we have had many other nights/weekends away in hotels around Ireland that offered the same for a bit less. At the end of the day, a good hotel, but having spent in excess of €600 in total to cover our 2 night stay, spa treatment, evening meal and drinks, it was most disappointing to have only got one good night's sleep into the bargain.
