Conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the center of Amboise but with easy access to free on-street parking - closer than the hotel's own parking lot. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and I slept better there than I did at a fancy chateau later in the trip.
The room was quite small, and up a narrow spiral staircase, so best to pack light - my fault for bringing a week's luggage for a 2 night stay.

Very nice old building, wonderful location in the old town.

Location - 10 minute walk to town
We had heavy luggage so not having a lift was tricky - but would not stop me staying again

I have stayed at La Blason on previous trips,.so was happy to stay there again. The hotel has character and is in a good location. The garage for parking our motorcycles is secure and very close to the hotel.
I had booked a twin room but was given a double which caused some confusion, however this was resolved, but the room was very small for 2 x adults with motorcycle gear.

Merci !
Rien du tout !

This is a cute hotel in an excellent location. The rooms are very simple but clean. It's in walking distance to restaurants and castles. Easy to park.

Bed was comfortable and the location was great.
Our room was too tiny.

lovely staff, very clean.
All good for the money.

Location was great.
Room clean.
Free parking outside front of hotel.
Very friendly reception.
Definitely didn't get a room as shown on the website. The room was so tiny that I had to walk sideways to get into bed.
The bathroom we compared to a cruise ship bathroom, with the need to step up into it and the shower in a corner.
The main door handle and lock into room just about fell off in my hands and I had to ask for it to be screwed up.
I know its 2 star but still should resemble what is shown in pictures.

room slightly small but ok for one night.

Probably the best room in the hotel. Newly decorated and well equipped room, very good shower and a bath is a bonus if one wishes to relax. Very comfortable beds.
Being on the ground floor of an ancient building, two things to bear in mind: some noise from the front door and people talking at reception, also - impossible to open the window unless there is somebody in the room.

The room was comfortable.
Quite noisy in the room onto the street on the first floor.
Double Room was rather small.

great location, good value for money, got some very good recommendations for meal, staff were friendly and accommodating late arrival too
wifi Login from was a pain and logged me out every time we left the hotel or not used it, it would be great to have a wifi system that remembers you, there was no door on the shower, breakfast was ok but not many options to choose from.

It's the second time I stayed at Amboise. Both times at this hotel. Very confortable. Recent and clean furniture. No smells. Very good breakfast. Almost 300 meters from down town and Amboise Chateau.

Nice little hotel for a stopover. Was able to park my motorbike right outside which was very convenient. Single room was small but perfectly clean and comfortable. Good location to walk around the town too

Great hotel close to the town centre, with easy parking. The hotel has a carpark but we parked for free in the square facing the hotel. Old building that has been well modernised. Comfy bed, good shower, excellent breakfast, with the waiter cooking ham and eggs for us. Strongly recommend

Location of the hotel was perfect.
We were lucky to be able to park in front of the hotel.
Possibly a little dated but not a problem for me.

Good location.
Room a little small for three. Hotel is a bit tired and dated. Quite expensive for what it is.

Lovely atmospheric historic property with lots of character. Friendly & helpful staff. Great location a short walk from the centre. We stayed in 2 different rooms, the first was fine but fairly standard. The second was larger & in the roof with a view of the castle, interesting old beams in the ceiling - loved it. A good breakfast with lots of options.
All good. Would definitely stay again.

great location
no elevator breakfast area was too small
