The location which is few meters away from Ita Thao wharf and it's the center of the food market, the front desk customer service, the breakfast, and unlimited bottle water.
Not really.

OK
The price is outrageous and the place of an extremely low quality with no comfort. It is 3 times the price we should have paid for the quality of the place. It is an horrible palce.

Location is good. Short walk to Alishan train station and eateries.
Size of room was smaller than expected.
Room was near to the lobby and entrance on ground floor. In the morning, when other guests are departing, they were very noisy and we were awakened by the noise.

Fantastic location within the Yushan National Park. Very professional, helpful and thoughtful management from all staff members and employees connected to the hotel. I am very grateful for everything they did to contribute to my magical stay in the Alishan Township area.

Location was good as it was inside the park. That's literally all I can think of that was good about this hotel.
STENCH: The "premium" room I stayed in was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! The restroom smelled like a roadside outhouse/piss/feces, filling the entire room. We closed the restroom door and NEVER opened it again. None of us (7 guests in two rooms) could shower due to how disgusting it was; we all waited for the next day to get to another hotel. Luckily we were only here for one day.
OLD/DIRTY/BROKEN: The room felt dirty, various furnishings had stains, some shelves and other items were broken (cracked shelf hanging off the side on one side, etc).
UN-ATTENTIVE STAFF: When I arrived, there was a young lady (maybe in her 30s) and an older lady (maybe in her 70s or 80s) at the desk standing up looking past me (I was standing literally right in front of them). They looked right past my shoulder to watch a man and a child playing (who later went behind the desk for employees only, so presumably was their family), and literally said not a word to me and did not acknowledge me. After 1-2 minutes the younger lady walked away, and the older lady sat down and turned away to look at some papers. I had to ask to be checked in, to get checked in.
LIMITED PARKING: There is a parking lot area for the row of hotels here, and every single spot was taken. I ended up parking along the side of the road around the corner and up a hill.
NO TOWELS: Literally no shower towels in either rooms. Only small face towels.
SUMMARY: I stayed at about 12 different hotels/b&bs/etc in Taiwan and this one BY FAR was the WORST place I stayed at. The ONLY good thing was to be within Alishan National Scenic Area. The last time I was at Alishan prior to this I stayed at Alishan Hotel, which was more expensive but much nicer. Knowing what I now know about Wun Sun Hotel, I would gladly pay multiple times more for a decent lodging experience.
Note that there are several hotels on this hotel row in Alishan, next to Wun Sun. I don't know how good or bad these might be.

The location is great.
Attitude of staff is not friendly. They do not provide the towel, which is the basic thing provided even by the worse hotel. This may be the cheapest hotel in the Alishan forest. However, being cheap does not mean you try to cut off all the basic thing of stay.

The location was good for my purpose of climbing the Mt Jade. Breakfast was provided not in the property but at a tourist restaurant nearby. The staff was helpful at least they can communicate in English.
I was given a room at the 4th floor but there was no elevator. All facilities are very old style and the room was never sound-proof, many people with children were screaming pass the midnight.

The free shuttle service of pick up and send-off from park main entrance/ bus interchange to the premises by the owner.
It’s just me not used to motel/ old property condition.

Close to visitor center
The property need renovation. They don’t provide towel and only give face towel for shower!!. The interior look real bad and not worth the money.

Breakfast Food is okay only. Towels in room are only wash towels, not bath towels size. Not enough to dry the whole body. Room size is adequate and clean. Front desk staff is friendly.
Need full size bath towels.

The location was really strategic, right inside the park. The hotel picked us up from the bus stop (it was a short 3-min drive). We came prepared after reading all the negative comments about the hotel, brought our own towels and prepared our own hairdryer, was even prepared to lug our bags up the stairs. But to our surprise, it wasn’t that bad at all. We got a room on the ground floor, right behind the reception (no need to walk the stairs!), our room was neat and clean. Yes, the towels were small, but everything else including the shower, hairdryer and heater worked well for us. The pillows and bed were just right for us too, not too hard as per many other reviews. The best part was the hotel offered a private sunrise tour at NTD300 per person so we didn’t have to wake up earlier to take the train. According to the ‘tour guide’ at the sunrise viewing spot, the place where we were brought to has the best view compared to other places. We managed to catch a full view of the sunrise as the weather was really good. The staffs were generally friendly too.
Nothing except for the small towels, really.

Great location and kind, flexible staff. The breakfast included is quite sumptuous
The ventilation in the bathroom is not good, leaving the place somewhat smelly after showering. The towels provided were not great and did not absorb water too well.
3.5
The price is low comparing to the nearby hotels. The breakfast is included in the price and is a buffet.
The bed is hard as rock. The room is a bit tiny. The breakfast hours are a bit early if you want to see the sunrise.
3.5
The room's size and amenities met our expectations and needs, considering that we did not book this accommodation in advance. The hotel is near the town centre, so we could get to food options and get things from the 7-11 conveniently.
The room and toilet could have been better furnished. That said, what we were provided with matched the price that we paid, so there really isn't much to complain about.

good location! friendly staff.
the bathroom was so wet and when we asked about it they just have us a towel so we had to wipe the floors and toilet 😂 the walls are also SO thin, people were so loud until 1am. There should be an enforced curfew for noise. Also the pillows are extremely high and hard, so uncomfortable that we couldn’t sleep and ended up not even using them. The included breakfast isn’t on the property and we had to go into town for it & it was not great at all - but it was included in the stay so I will take it.

very quiet and clean, nice view
no restaurant, no elevator inside of the hotel
