Muy acogedor el hostel. La anfitriona, una divina. Super cálida y predispuesta a ayudar! Gracias a ella dejé la mochila en su hostel y pude ir a aguas calientes sin peso. ♥️

The owner Katie was very nice and I had several interesting conversations with her. She arranged a home stay in the communidad of Huilloq for us for a good price which was one of the best experiences of our whole trip. We stayed at Chaska Wasi several nights. Our room was nice, warm and sunny, with a great view. There is a nice lobby with comfortable sofas to hang out in and converse with people or read. There was plenty of hot water for showers if you follow instructions on when to use it. The guest house is located close to the main plaza, but also on the edge of town at a big field where there are pre-Inca walls. This gave the location a relaxed country feel to it.

Ollantaytambo is a VERY small town. Kati speaks great English and arranged for us to visit a local family in the area for a delicious meal and to see how they live. She even walked us over and and waited for the collective to arrive and deposited us on it. She also set us up with a taxi driver the next day to drive us around the area and see some sights, maybe a bit more than we expected to pay, but a great experience. There isn't much to do in the village, so we were glad to have someone guide us.
Breakfast was minimal, just coffee and a roll. Also, she didn't take credit cards, so we had to use up our cash unexpectedly, (now YOU'LL be prepared). Not much to do in the town itself.

Absolutely everything. all the reviews on Kathy’s are so true. She is the most sincere and kind person and the whole vibe of the place is great because of her. Wish I could have stayed longer.
there is nothing to not like.

Good was great for many nice restaurants and attractions. Katy was an amazing host with good recommendations and information.
And the animals took my stay over the top. They didn't interrupt my sleep at all and were so friendly.

The Hostal was beautiful and clean, and well decorated inside. Katty went above and beyond to make sure we were able to sightsee safely and reasonably, and even offered to do our laundry when the laundry services were closed. The most helpful host we have ever had! The location was also amazing, being able to walk easily to all the shops, restaurants, transit, archeological site, and the views from the room were amazing!
The host did need to be home and awake in order to let us into the hostal, which worked fine for our situation (traveling with a child), but it may have been more inconvenient if we had wanted to stay out later than 10pm and not wake her up to let us in. (Polite Canadians here - inconveniencing people is hard for us!) All in all it was a fantastic stay and we are very happy to have stayed there and met Katty. Lovely human being.

-very friendly and open owner, she had lots of recommendations and was always there to help
-I loved the sweet dogs and cats, that were always open for a cuddle
-good location
-comfy common area
Bathroom door is open to the dorm on the upper part and only has a milky glass window in the middle part, so there is not overly much privacy, it didn't lock either and creaked terribly, so if using the bathroom you wake up the other people in the room. But as I had the room to myself 2 out of 3 nights it didn't matter much!

Nice big bed good Wi-Fi, some good advice from Katia. common area
The breakfast wasn’t very good compared to others we have had. curtains did not reach across the window. Had problems with the shower. You can only pay in soles which are hard to get in the village.

What a beautiful room and the best bed all holiday. It was huge and softer than usual for Peru. The owner was so friendly and helpful, and when I left a bag there she sorted a taxi to bring it to Cuzco for me. We had lovely interesting conversations with her. The view was great from our room. Fantastsic value for money.

Normal room, beds were ok, it was clean.
It was quite cold in the common area. Also the bathroom had an open space at the ceiling so you could hear any noise in the room if your roommates went to the bathroom. Some privacy at the bathroom would be nice.
Also the Hostellady tried to organize a visit to a local family in a village in the mountains. She told me they would pick me up at the school but as I arrived in the village there was nobody to pick me up. So be careful if you consider that tour. As a solo traveling women I felt a bit scared when I was lost in this village, there was no phone signal so I couldn't call the family or anyone and just returned to Ollantaytambo.

The (female) owner is super friendly and welcoming. The rooms are in her house, which is really beautiful equipped and has a giant roof terrace with a great view on the ruins and the mountains. Rooms are modern and clean, beds comfortable. The area is perfect as it’s two blocks from the plaza but very quiet.

katty was an amazing host who helped us plan everything. she was very responsive and kind with allowing us to use her kitchen and celebrate my sisters birthday with a cake she made with love! the location is perfect, calm , off the busy streets and just a minute walk from the center. the room was bright and clean. We felt like we were home. Definitely recommend and will be back!
Breakfast was okay and could have been better with the selection/options.

A very nice and cozy hostal close to the main square of Ollantaytambo. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and beautifully furnished. I definitely love the design and all the small details. The views are also breathtaking as the hostal is situated in the Sacred Valley. The owner is the most helpful, warm, friendly and welcoming person you can imagine. When my partner got sick she went to the doctor with us, cooked a delicious chicken soup and help him get back on his feet. 100000% recommended! If you are looking for a cozy place with beautiful rooms and a host that will not hesitate to share her knowledge, experience and advice about just everything - that’s where you should come.
Ollantaytambo is a quiet but stunning town - you will find everything you need here - cobbled narrow streets, Inca ruins, good restaurants and unlimited amount of hiking trails. If you are around don’t forget to go to Inti Punku, Pumamarca or salineras de Maras. And of course in the town itself there are Ollantaytambo ruins (you can access them if you buy boleto turístico for Ollantaytambo, Pisac and Moray).
I loved everything.

Clean and large mixed room. There wasn't other guests so I had it all for me. CW is located at about 200 meters from the main park but public lights are ok because it is really dark after 6pm.
For the train station, you gotta walk like 1km but it's ok so you get to know a little bit more the place.
The lady who was in charge replacing Katy was very gentle.
The night I stayed at CW the Internet wouldn't work and Katy wasn't home to help or make us clear what had happened.
