Historic buildings line the beautifully scenic streets of downtown Hood River, with a bustling shopping district featuring boutiques, designer shops, outdoor adventure gear outfitters, antique shops, art galleries and no less than 30 restaurants.
There are many orchards and vineyards in Hood River. The Hood River Valley is known for its luscious apples, pears, cherries, peaches and other fruits, and for the view of the majestic snowcapped peak of Mt. Hood. People from all over Oregon make an annual trek in the fall to the many farm stands to stock up on fresh apples and pears. Other produce is available, and varies by season. To enjoy the view of "boardheads" at play, drive to the Columbia Gorge Sailpark or follow Second Street to the waterfront.
The Mt. Hood region and its more than sixty miles of forested mountains, 77 waterfalls and myriad lakes and streams are a rip-roaring mecca for outdoor adventure. The mountain is home to four ski areas and offers the country's only year-round skiing and snowboarding.

The property was clean and spacious. Beautiful mountain views. Large outdoor deck and well stocked kitchen.

Well appointed and stocked kitchen, great view from master bedroom, comfortable beds. Downside, the fees/taxes make this a costly stay. Also, there is list of chores at check out.

There were 3 couples staying at this home, 2 of the couples in our 50's, one couple in their 80's. Each had their own room with a queen size bed. Master bath had a full bathroom. There was also another full bathroom upstairs for the other 2 bedrooms. There was also a half bath on the main level which one couple kept all their toiletries in so none of were ever waiting for use of a bathroom. All rooms are upstairs with good lighting on the stairs, handrail and easy stairs to climb. The kitchen was one of the best equipped I have seen. Plenty of seating in the living room for all of us to sit and chat as well as on the back porch where we spent most of our time. Beds were all comfortable. House and hot tub were all clean. Parking for 3 cars available. Easy walk to downtown White Salmon and short car ride (10 min) to Hood River. Toll bridge each time you cross the bridge for $3.50. Very clear instructions on how to access the home as well as close it up. Departure was easy with little required (take out garbage, load dishwasher and start it). We all commented on the comfort of the home, how bright and cheerful it was and how much we enjoyed it. Would definitely stay here again if returning to White Salmon.

This was the most inviting, well stocked and comfortable place to stay the 4 of us have experienced. Directions we clear, entry was no problem, location was great for wine tasting plus, the hot tub was a bonus. We only wished we could have stayed longer!

Stayed here with 4 adults and 2 toddlers to attend the cider festival in Hood River. The house was very clean and spacious, lots of parking outside. Location was quiet and convenient to walk to several restaurants. We had a great stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Be prepared to pay a $3.50 toll each way to cross the bridge to Hood River.

We came to visit family and stayed here 6 nights. Everything was outstanding. The home was immaculate, the kitchen has updated appliances and is stocked with anything needed to prepare meals. We dined comfortably as a family with ample seating.
The decor is so pleasing and really nice wall art was a plus for me..
The Mt. Hood view is the best we’ve ever had, and the hot tub was definitely a plus too. We decided to come a little late, so the smaller places were booked up. We are sooo glad we booked Northern Lights. It was worth every cent!

The house was even better than described! Beautiful views of Mt. Hood, a very clean and large hot tub, well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, and a perfect location. Our daughter loved the proximity to the park and we enjoyed the proximity to the bakery and downtown restaurants. We are already planning a return trip!

Clean, quiet, comfortable beds, well equipped, large wonderful kitchen, nearby park to exercise your pet. We came to watch the PAC-12 Women's Basketball Tournament. Timely and helpful in getting the streaming to TV set up for us. Beautiful view of Mount Hood. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Nice property that is well located for walking to local shops and restaurants. Beneficial for when 8-10" of snow comes down and you can't drive anywhere. Kitchen is completely stocked with tools for cooking, unlike most vacation rentals. Hot tub is under overhang and great for relaxing in while watching snow fall.

This house is so comfortable and welcoming! We have stayed here twice so that my husband can sturgeon fish. The house is very clean and is stocked with anything you could possibly need! There is an amazing kitchen to enjoy family style meals at the large dining table. There is a grocery store and restaurants within walking distance. There are parks and trails right in town to enjoy the outdoors. We enjoyed the hot tub on the back porch after a chilly day outside! We will be back next year hopefully!

Came here for white water rafting and hiking trip, the place was amazing! Great neighborhood, close to Hood River and tons of restaurants nearby. The house itself was spacious, clean and the back porch with the hot tub was great.
Please note, there is a $2 toll in and out of White Salmon. I Wasn’t aware of this before we came but it wouldn’t deter me from staying here again.

The house was spacious, clean and has a well appointed kitchen. It is within easy walking distance of restaurants and stores. On our arrival day, the fridge broke and had to be replaced, Arrived was great about contacting us and letting us know what to expect. They provided a cooler and lots of ice to keep our food cold until the new fridge was up and running. We would stay there again!

We had a couple of tiny issues but overall, it was a great stay.
A prior review from May told us that the main refrigerator was not working, and I had contacted the management company about that before we ever got there. They assured me that it would be fixed and would let me know for sure. Didn't hear from then at all and when we got there the main fridge was not working but they had brought in a little smaller fridge, that worked out.
The gate on the side of the house was broken but they were going to send someone over to fix it, but we told them it was not needed for our stay, so I assume that is all corrected now.
Otherwise, this was a great stay. Has a great view of Mt. Hood from the upper deck (it has two decks). We walked to the White Salmon Bakery and the grocery store only a couple blocks away. Nice big park with lots of grass only a block away. Three blocks or so away were multiple places to eat.
Very convenient location!
The place is stocked with everything you might need. Kitchen had every utensil and in some cases multiples of the items. Plenty of towels etc.

The home had an easy system for unlocking and locking, which the three of us appreciated, and a very well-stocked kitchen with dishware and cooking ware. Everything worked well, and we enjoyed the couches in the living room.

6 adults and 2 (pre-approved) dogs all comfortably fit in this unit. I loved the layout from the main house to the front deck which made it easy to have conversation. The view was awesome, great location as well.

Overall, we were very pleased with the property. Living/Kitchen as expected. Bedrooms were good and beds very comfortable. Deck was nice. Proximity to town was great. Neighborhood is just OK. Wasn't too bad though. Only disappointment was main refrigerator wasn't working. They had a small unit in the dining room. No note or indication such was the case. It worked out. Suggestions: a few night lights especially around the stairs. Hot tub was cloudy so didn't feel comfortable using it. Everything else was great.

Overall the property was well located, well apportioned. Bathrooms and kitchen clean. The only drawback with the interior was the amount of dog hair over the wood flooring and couches. Despite the dog hair, we had a lovely time. Thanks for sharing your home.

We really enjoyed staying here! The house is very comfortable and so well stocked with anything you could possibly need! The kitchen was so fun to cook family meals and the fish we had caught during the day. All the towels and washer and dryer were great for rainy days and using the amazing hot tub!

We enjoyed this house very much. Only wish there were more tv channels.
8.0 / 10.0
It was a seemless check-in process, the house was more beautiful than anticipated despite the well done photos. The place is certianly spacious enough to house 6 people very comfortably (with animals.)
The only drawback i experienced involved my aging dog, there was no yard for him to do his business. In the back of the property they have a kind of astro turf that isnt suitable for dog business and i was really unclear as to weather or not we could even go back there due to the seprate listing in the downstairs of the same building having its entrance in the back.
All in all i was extremely pleased at the beauty and comfort the place allowed my brother, sister, and myself to enjoy while we went up to the mountain.
