Lovely, quiet, friendly area .

Reviews and pictures of this property were excellent so I was quite happy to book one week here. For months, I looked forward to this vacation. I chose this property based on the reviews and pictures on VRBO.
MISREPRESENTATION - Picture 1/27 is NOT the house you are renting. The house you are renting is Picture 2/27 which is located up a hill, and not as close to the beach as the house in Picture 1/27. Using Picture 1/27 as the lead photo is misleading. I wish I had realized these pictures are of two DIFFERENT houses. All other pictures seem accurate.
COMMUNICATION - One issue brought to the owner's attention was met with delayed response and no resolution. Rather than the easy solution of providing a missing bed sheet, the owner argued. I do believe the owner tried to get a sheet brought over but had a miscommunication with the cleaning service providing the linens...and didn't care to resolve. After having two of my messages ignored by the owner, I followed up and was accused of making a 'big deal' about it. The sheet was never provided.
We decided to abruptly leave after only three nights, as this was better than staying in this uncomfortable situation (interacting with the owner). Leaving was a good decision.
This is a nice place and in total not cheap. I expected a better experience overall but have learned a lesson.
I gain nothing by sharing my honest review. Readers make your own assessments.

Very cozy cottage. Had everything we needed, comfy beds, great location, very clean and 3 minute walk to the beach. Quiet neighborhood. Owner was very responsive to any questions and report of a small repair was immediately addressed. We would highly recommend!

Was the perfect place for our first trip to Cape Cod and our family of 4. The location can't be beat. The space was bright and airy with nice ocean views. The short walks to the beach and to the local shops for food was perfect. Such a relaxing and beautiful place.

Great first time visit to the Cape. Mashoup Village very quite in autumn - you practically have the beach (minutes walk away) to yourself. Took in a perfect sunrise one morning. Justin is a great host - very responsive. Found the coffee maker in the unit wasn’t working on first morning and he replied immediately with instructions to access a nearby property to take the one from there. Would definitely stay here again.

There was a big gap trying to communicate w VRBO prior to trip. Kept on rerouting me to new destinations rather than connecting me to the propoper person, owner to answer my questions.
Otherwise, the home was lovely

The cottage has distant view of ocean & 2 minute walk down hill to beach. The open concept LR, kitchen & dining area makes it feel spacious & bright with large windows. BRs are a bit small, but to be expected in a cottage. Shower is tight, but bathroom has washer/dryer which is a nice amenity. Kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans & utensils, and some herbs & spices to cook with. Dish soap & hand soap are provided, as are paper towels & extra toilet paper. The large LR TV offers many cable channels. We only had a few minor issues. Directions should tell people that the entrance code goes into black box on the door & not the white box that’s to the left of it. The TV’s in BRs seem to offer just a limited number of free TV programs, plus Netflix & Hulu, for which a password or sign-on is needed. There are 6 or 7 different remotes for the 3 TVs & no directions as to which TVs they go with or even if we needed to use all of them. At night, outdoor lights from neighboring houses shine into bedroom windows, which have blinds, but lights still illuminate the windows, so if you need a really dark bedroom to sleep in, you won’t find it here unless you bring black-out curtains or an eye mask. All in all, we thought it was a nice little cottage in a quiet, well-maintained village.

This beach cottage was the perfect little home away from home for our small family over Labor day weekend. The cottage was in the nicest little community with mini golf and a short 2 minute walk to the beach. We stayed with our two young boys and the bunk room was perfect for them. The cottage was well equipped with everything you needed for a week away from home. It was very clean and felt a lot more spacious because of the vaulted ceilings. We enjoyed walks out on the beach and dinners out on the patio each night. We have stayed numerous summers down in the cape and look forward to returning to this adorable home.

This picturesque cottage was everything we hoped for. The neighborhood was quaint and the house was a short walk to the private beach. The icing on the cake was being able to watch the sun rise above the ocean from the primary bed. Such a wonderful spot to stay for our first time to Cape Cod.

This was our fourth trip to Mashop Village and it’s just a wonderful place for an ocean vacation. It’s a great little gated community right on the ocean….it’s a tight little neighborhood of condos…but you never feel crowded…all the condos are different and all in that Nantucket style-some are “stand alone” houses like this one. It’s quiet and great for kids and families.

Clean and Cozy Cottage
This cottage has a beautiful view of the Atlantic and nice high ceilings which make the cottage feel roomy. Maushop Village is a cute Nantucket cottage community that is quaint and fun to walk around. Nearby trails are one of my favorite features of the area.
Owners have excellent communication and respond quickly to questions! I highly recommend this cottage!

Great cottage in wonderful location
My wife and I stayed here with friends for a wedding weekend. The community is very quiet, clean, and has gorgeous views with access to the beach. The cottage is fully stocked with all the kitchen amenities you'd need, and they provide ample towels and some initial soap/shampoo which was nice and adequate for our short stay. I would highly recommend this cottage for long weekend or a week-long stay if you spent your days traveling.

Great Getaway Location
My wife and I stayed in Mid-September which was a perfect time to visit the Cape. The Beach Cottage was perfect for our needs, with close, private access to beach, and short drives to all amenities. The Cottage is neat, clean and decorated with an appropriate ocean theme . Highly recommended.

Great time in Maushop Village!
We loved this place! It was comfortable, spacious and well stocked, and it has a great water view. It’s nice that it’s a free standing cottage rather than an attached townhouse like some other units. Thanks for a great trip!

Amazing stay!
My family and I had an amazing stay. The cottage was clean and had absolutely everything a family could need. Plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 kids and just a quick walk to the beach or marketplace. We had an amazing time at this beautiful cottage.

Beautiful home, village, scenery and the view. Convenience is so important with kids, walkable through the trail, to marketplace which is a big bit. Mini golf, Ice cream shop, live music and shops. The popponessett inn was delicious and beautiful. The owners were really thoughtful and communicated well! The house is a bit hot, but really was what you see in the pictures. We loved it! Thank you Jay!

Expectations Exceeded!
We were a 3 generation family staying for the week right after Memorial Day weekend. Perfect time to stay, excellent weather, and the house was even better than we anticipated. Fully appointed, it overlooks the ocean and is a short walk to private beach access. The host was excellent and very communicative with detailed and quick responses! We definitely will be coming back to the area and again and fully intend to look no further than exactly where we stayed.

Best of the Cape
35 Triton, was one of the most wonderful trips to the Cape we’ve had!
It’s exactly as advertised, everything is at your fingertips. The pride of ownership, shows throughout.
You can not beat the location, with South Beach minutes from you.
Take advantage of the many trails, beaches and great food and shops nearby!
Every day was a new adventure, upon waking, the amazing views of Nantucket sound greet you!!
Best part, relaxing on the patio, enjoying tea, or evening nighcap, from the front patio, or the backyard. Whatever your mood this home has it!
I can hardly wait to return, and utilize other amenities, such as the lower floor with games for the kids, making memories with our grandchildren.
This home is spacious, and enough rooms, and baths to accommodate most large families, or gatherings needs.
Thank you for an enjoyable stay, we will be returning!!

Perfect Vacation Spot
My wife and I were looking for a new location for our family vacation after spending the past few summers in Hyannis. This house is phenomenal, and the private beach is just steps away. The owner is a great communicator, and I would highly recommend staying here.

Not up to expectations
Lovely location but overall cleanliness of the property was a disappointment, spiderwebs in corners of rooms, next to and under beds and couches also, dirty rug left in washer, grill not properly cleaned yet payed a substantial cleaning fee. Owner made me feel like I was the problem not the cleaning company!
