About this apartment rental
This immaculately clean Deluxe One Bedroom Condo at The Monache in The Village at Mammoth not only has the best location in town, but also the most luxurious amenities. It's located on a high floor and comes with a living room, dining area, kitchenette, and patio. There are all the amenities you can imagine, including the amazing White Bark Restaurant and Lounge. We are steps away from dozens of restaurants, bistros, and shops, but nestled quietly up amongst the trees. But best of all, right downstairs you can catch the Gondola to the Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort. No more lugging your skis, boards and boots into your car, hunting for parking at the resort, and trudging for a mile to the ski lifts. Just park your vehicle in the underground parking garage, use our private ski locker at the base of the gondola, and never use your car for the rest of your stay!
*** We have rented a full locker at the base of the Village Gondola for this unit so that you don't have to carry your gear up or down any stairs.... get ready in the locker room and then simply take the elevator directly to the gondola level! ***

Clean and comfortable room in the Westin Monache. It was great to have a/c. The kitchen is small but all we needed. Nice balcony to relax on. The pool is great and at a perfect temp. Easy parking and quick elevators. The location is steps from the free trolley and shuttle stops and just steps from the Village lift, rentals, restaurants and events. The owner was extremely helpful and quickly replied and fixed a small issue. We will gladly rent this unit any time of year.

My wife, the dogs and I had a wonderful experience in this 1 bedroom condo within the Westin Monache Resort in Mammoth. It was exactly what we were looking for. A reasonably priced, dog-friendly, clean roomy condo, with great views, in the perfect location. The property is conveniently located across the street from Mammoth Village where you can enjoy live music, catch a gondola ride to check out the views from the mountaintop above, drink and dine at multiple restaurants and bars, or spend some time shopping for souvenirs at multiple shops. There are also biking and hiking trails close by. Michaela was a great hostess, and responded to my messages right away and was very helpful. There is nothing I would change about my experience, other than bringing our bikes to enjoy all the bike trails the next time we visit.

The room was disgusting. It reeked cigarette smoke and it stunk like pets. the bed was dirty and uncomfortable. not enough towels for us to enjoy our stay and use the Jacuzzi. Worst of all the Internet did not work so no movies.

This location was ideal for the Mammoth Grand Fondo. The start and finish line are right at the base of the property. The unit size and layout made for a comfortable and convenient stay. It was clean and well appointed. Check-in is simple and the instructions clearly communicated. Covered parking is a great amenity. Michaela's communication from booking to checkout was excellent. Proximity to the Village was a big plus.

We had an impromptu getaway, and I'm thrilled that we discovered this hidden treasure! The host was incredibly responsive in their communication. The greatest advantage is its proximity to the village, pool, parking, and elevator. Bringing our two dogs was a fantastic experience, and we can't praise it enough! I highly recommend this condo to anyone seeking accommodation in Mammoth. Looking forward to returning soon!

Convenient to the village and village gondola. Ski locker was useful and the property was just as pictured/described. We had a great stay!

Loved staying here. Small, but well stocked kitchen. Immaculate. Two big TVs, each with access to all the streaming channels. The listing did not mention this, but there is first-come, first-served EV charging, which was very useful to me. The community hot-tub was immaculate and nice and hot; a rarity for many properties. There is a beautiful restaurant/bar on site.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Village Monache! Michaela is a wonderful host and easy to communicate with! She also provided many resources for our stay and local recommendations in Mammoth.
The unit was perfect for our family of four plus our dog. Our two kids slept comfortably in the sleeper sofa. Upon check in the unit was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We enjoyed the many hotel amenities (gym, pool, restaurant) Well stocked small kitchenette (we enjoyed making breakfast daily and enjoyed coffee in the room) The view from the unit is very relaxing and beautiful overlooking the pool and the snow capped trees and mountains.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Steps away from many dining/shopping options at The Village across the street! The location is perfect for easily getting up to Canyon Lodge at Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort with the complimentary Gondola at The Village! Parking was also very easy and convenient.
If you plan to bring a dog, the access is easy to get to the elevator and down to the Main Lobby/LL Level for walks and bathroom breaks. The property is very dog friendly and the town of Mammoth!
We would definitely book a VRBO stay with Michaela again for our family winter break vacation, and place to celebrate my sons birthday!

Everything about the property was perfect and had everything you need for an amazing Mammoth stay. The locker option made everything so easy with the snowboards. Will definitely look for this property when booking my next stay in Mammoth.

Overall, we had a good stay. Our host was very responsive to us, and the condo was clean and comfortable. Check in was very easy and the Westin had universal charging stations for our car which was great. The one complaint we had was that the unit was very dark. Its hard to decide what is more important, saving energy (important!) or the gloominess of a dark unit when on vacation. I will note that we visited during the off season when days are short and sunlight limited but both of us craved more light, especially by the bed. Our host was lovely and I could have asked anything of her, but didn't want to spend our short time visiting complaining so we made due and still enjoyed our trip.

Overall it was a nice stay for the price. Parking is convenient. Room and bedding is comfortable, but I would prefer a duvet with fresh cover. The property needs to fix the sauna jets. The location is great for exploring the area and the hosts provides some nice suggestions.

Great location! The ease of staying at a hotel with the warmth of a home. Host is amazing, check in was easy. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Highly recommend staying here, right next to village gondola and associated restaurants. Very nice one bedroom condo with very comfortable bed/sofa bed and fine furnishings, plus all that is needed in the (small) kitchen space. Host even provided us with good coffee!! Parking in underground closed garage also provides protection from bear raids of your car (in case you don't empty out all the scented stuff)

This place was amazing and the location was perfect. It is right next to the village and is easy to walk to all the shops and to get food if you need to. The owner was easy to talk to and made sure that we had everything we needed. The place was clean and comfortable. They even left some information on adventures to do in and around mammoth. I would definitely book with them again.

This is a very nice property, the Westin Monache Resort in Mammoth. It is pet friendly, so we brought our dog. You will see many dogs in Mammoth with their owners, as it is a dog friendly town. It is located the Village at Mammoth so there are a lot of restaurants and stores across the street. The gondola is located there and will take you to the mountain when it is in season. There are plenty of other restaurants and stores within a short driving distance. Two restaurants we really enjoyed, Toomey's (at the Village) and Roberto's (downtown), are both really good. Mammoth provides plenty to do, whether it is hiking, biking, fishing, winter activities, or just enjoying the beautiful mountains and outdoors.
Michaela, the condo owner, was great and made it so that check-in and out was a breeze. I highly recommend staying here!

Nice Short Stay
This rental was clean and the beds and bedding was very comfortable. Our 9 year old son slept comfortably on the fold out couch, which easily could have accommodated a second child. We have stayed in other 1bed/1bath at Monache in the past and agreed that this unit felt more open and spacious than some others. This location is always so convenient with its proximity to The Village. Owners were very responsive to questions.
