About this house rental
Perched high above the New Meadows salt water river, Juniper Ledge House provides the ideal place to get away! You can choose to watch the water, osprey, seagulls and sunsets from from the large deck, use the house for a quiet escape - or as a home base for outings and exploring nearby attractions. The house is close to everything - activities and services - movies, bowling, rope climbing, shopping, great restaurants, golf, beaches, networks of hiking trails, kayak and boat rentals, easy launch locations, and beautiful ocean scenery. All are just minutes away! There is a 1.5 mile hiking trail on the Juniper Woods property and access to parking, stairs down to a common dock, and waterfront (subject to tides) if you just want to stay right at home.
The Juniper Ledge House is ideal for one or two couples, or a couple with older children. Because there is a steep "cliff" in front of the house, we do not recommend this property for very little ones. Sorry, but pets are not allowed on this property and it is also a non-smoking property.
You certainly will not be roughing it if you choose this property, but if you think you need a really nice, comfortable and MAINE place to stay and a great chance to do lots of different and exciting things from there (or just to hunker down!) Juniper Ledge House is a great choice!
The house is cooled and completely furnished with everything you will need for a wonderful week's stay!
The Bathroom has a tub/shower, hair dryer, curling Iron
The master bedroom has beautiful, high views, a comfortable queen bed and pocket french doors open through to a small sitting room. (The couch in this room can be converted as an additional sleeping space and when sliding doors are closed, there are full pull-drapes to provide privacy between these 2 rooms).
The second master has a comfortable Sleep Number king bed. All bedroom windows have blackout curtains if you are a late sleeper.
The full kitchen features a double oven, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, trash compactor and refrigerator with door ice and water. We provide dishes, silverware and all the cooking utensils you will need. There is a choice of Drip Style and Keurig Style Coffee Maker and a coffee grinder for your use.
Other amenities include Internet access with printer, Three tvs, Gas Fireplace (for rainy days!), Ironing Board and Iron.
Outdoors there is a Covered Front Porch with chairs and a convenient recycling area. Overlooking the water is a huge deck with 2 umbrellas, a large outdoor dining table with cushioned seating and pub table. There are 6 comfortable wicker chairs for relaxing. You have a Gas Grill, Beach cooler, chairs, towels and beach umbrella for your use.
The owners will greet you upon arrival, give you a short orientation to the house and answer any questions you may have about the area. You will find a notebook filled with information and "things to do", notes from them and from other renters.
We live on site in an apartment and walk out basement on the opposite side of the house during the summer.. The units are separated by an enclosed stairway and living spaces are on the opposite end of the house. Each of us have our own parking, living decks and separate entry areas. We honor your privacy completely! Although we're friendly, we never intrude but you can contact us if you need anything during the week.

A great visit to Maine, in large part due to our excellent accomodations. The home is well located, close enough to a grocery store but far enough to feel away from it all. The home is beautiful and well kept. Very clean and nicely decorated. One has everything one needs, from a vaccum cleaner to kitchen appliances. Kerry/Steve welcomed us with lovely blueberry muffins and coffee. Importantly, they had a great welcome package which we used throughout out stay to plan daily excursions. We will be back! And thank you Kerry & Steven!

Kerry’s home was our base while visiting family in Maine. It met our needs perfectly - great location, all modern comforts and amenities of home, and a deck incredible outdoor space. Kerry was easy to communicate with and the home is exactly as shown in pics if not better. We won’t hesitate to stay again when in the area.

We love this place and the area is beautiful. This was our 2nd time. We went last year and had such a good time we decided to go again this year.

Great place to stay for a getaway weekend or extended stay. Really calm and peaceful environment. A unique, special and awe-inspiring as the location is, the house is also meticulous, everything you need and more.
Home has a beautiful setting to see the lake from the deck, kitchen, bedroom or den. Just loved it. Host has guest essentials for anyone that needed them.( I must say quality products for men and women. very thoughtful)
Blueberry muffins, so delicious. I literally can't say enough about this beautiful home's decor, and comfort.
This was a birthday getaway we stayed a week, and that was not enough, perfect Maine weather, close to Portland and surrounding areas. Grocery, Walgreen's and other stores with in 10 minutes or less.
The host Kerry and Steve treat you like family. I have told all my friends, and now to advise you. Stay here, as I will again and again, when in the area.
We have had the most wonderful stay! This home is just perfect! The moment we walked in we felt at home. The furnishings and decor are pristine and SO BEAUTIFUL! It looks like stepping into a magazine! We hardly wanted to leave during our stay and we were more than a little sad to have to go home. Love love love! If we could give this rental more than 5 stars we would. We can’t wait to come back
Thanks for everything, and I hope you enjoy your candle
Kind regards: Eliza & Pat

There wasn’t any small detail that wasn’t thought of by Kerry. The home was nicely appointed and had a gas grill that we used 2 nights and ate on the deck numerous times looking at the amazing view of the water and boats going by. They also thoughtfully maintain a trail to a common dock area that is about a mile and a half loop. The pictures don’t do it justice. We ate at several restaurants that they recommended and they were delicious! Frosty’s donuts in Bath were amazing! They have a way of making you feel at home by having everything that you need right at your disposal. The location is a nice area that is central to visiting multiple areas of Maine in no time. Boothbay Harbor is a beautiful area to see and so many state parks to hike. You can’t go wrong visiting this gem of a home in West Bath and enjoy Kerry’s blueberry muffins that she makes for you. Yum!

We were very comfortable with the downstairs area. However we did not realize the bathroom and the bedrooms were upstairs.
That being said, I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable place to stay.

Incredible house, view, and management of the property. We had personalized notes, the owners reached out to see if there was anything they could do to make our stay easier and more pleasant. Staying here was a very enjoyable experience.

This is a beautiful home with a stunning view, where you can appreciate that is managed by the owners. The house feels like a property where people actually live instead of a full time rental.
We love it here, this is the second time we rent this home.

Our visit far exceeded our expectations, even though they were high. The location was perfect, a beautiful view and absolutely gorgeous home. It was very difficult to leave. We will return and soon I hope. Juniper Ledge House was the icing on the cake.

We enjoyed our 10 day stay very much. Going through the extra tropical storm winds and seeing the Eagle from the back porch trying to deal with the winds was a little extra. The location is near several nice breakfast places within 10 minutes. Route 1 is only 5 minutes away and we could visit anywhere on the coast from Portland to Thomaston in less than an hour. Rockland, Rockport and Camden only another 10 minutes from that. Kerry and Steve are great and easy to work with. They quickly answered our every request. Nice place.

We stayed here for a week with another couple as a central spot with relatively easy access to the coast (for great fresh lobster) and various lakes (for boating, etc.) as well as other site seeing opportunities.
Pros: great location, very clean and comfortable. Excellent deck for relaxation during the day with practically zero noise from traffic or neighbors. The views of the lake is great! There are also Comfortable living spaces and bedrooms and a full kitchen. Besides the clean comfortable spaces, this place has a lot of amenities! Too many to list, lol.
Cons: there is only one bathroom so if you have more than 4 people…this could be an issue. Also, if you have more than 4 people, there won’t be enough towels for the week. There is no laundry facilities available so no washing your towels half way through the week. This being the case, you’ll have a slight Oder to the towels half way through a weeks stay since there is no good place to allow the towels to dry properly. Something else to consider: the parking for this location is across the lawn and down a little bit of a grade with a stepping stone path. Your average person will be fine with this but if any guests have difficulty walking, this could be another point to consider as there is no guest parking allowed at the same level as the entry to the home

This was an amazing place to stay, beyond our expectations. The property was very thoughtfully set up to welcome us (like an excellent kitchen with every pan and tool you could hope for), and the location is outstanding. The deck with a view of the water is especially nice, and we enjoyed quite a bit of time out there. We loved staying in the area and are already talking about coming back to the same place again. Couldn’t recommend it higher!

We had a great time at the house. So much better than a hotel. Everyday we so appreciated coming back from our excursion to the beauty and comfort of the house. The views are spectacular. Kerry and Steve were the best hosts. Very helpful when we needed anything but very respectful of our privacy. So glad I tried. VRBO

The property and house were beautiful. You feel relaxed as soon as you arrive at the house. The location, with the deck facing south and west and overlooking the tidal river, was lovely to return to at the end of the day to watch the sunset. We hiked and explored local restaurants and brew pubs on the four peninsulas and the Route 1 corridor from Brunswick to Boothbay Harbor. We recommend the Coastal Botanical Gardens, Popham Beach, and so many preserves and hiking trails! Kerry and Steve were fantastic hosts; like having good neighbors, there if you need them but otherwise respecting each other's privacy. The beds and furnishings were attractive and very comfortable, the kitchen included everything you'd need to prepare a quick snack to a complete meal. Plenty of storage and work space in the kitchen, all with a great view of the river. The location was perfect for all the local exploration we were doing; just far enough in on the peninsula to get a taste of the water, but close enough to the main roads to facilitate easy travel to and from other communities. We would definitely return again! Thank you, Kerry and Steve!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and really well maintained. Everything is very clean, the beds a comfortable, the living room furniture is great, the kitchen is lovely and well stocked. It was really nice not to have to worry about bringing sheets and towels, the house has everything one would need. The patio is so nice and great for having coffee in the morning and gazing at the stars at night. All in all a super property. Thank you Kerry and Steve for your hospitality and for sharing your home!

Gorgeous home. Beautifully decorated. Awesome view from a lovely back patio - so nicely decorated. Owners on property but give total privacy to guests. Attention to details - good instructions and guidelines. Appreciated the blueberry muffins and bottle of wine. Would highly recommend this location.

Perfect home. All the amenities Martha Stuart would want. Decorator’s delight. Caring couple Kerry and Steve went out of the way to help us with all sorts of information and property needs.
House is conveniently located near Brunswick (brewery and wild oats bakery, Bowdoin College Museum of art not to be missed). Bath architectural trip and maritime museum and concerts in the riverside park. Convenient to Portland for the Casco Bay ferry ride and to Damariscotta and Camden. Best Vrbo we have rented!

Perfect
Juniper Ledge House is gorgeous- with every amenity that anyone might like. The setting is peaceful with a lovely view of the New Meadows River from the windows and wrap around deck. The bed was so comfortable (sleep numbered!) and we had lots of room to spread out. The kitchen was modern and well appointed. The hosts were delightful and very gracious about our unexpected late arrival due to flight delay. This was indeed a perfect stay.

Kerry and Steve have an amazing home they are allowing guests to frequent! This place is lovely, relaxing and close enough to enjoy town easily. We took day trips all over the area and to some of the little areas they recommended. We enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. Kerry’s attention to detail is impeccable. Beautiful decor, every detail of this home was enjoyed. Not overdone, just perfect in every way. There is nothing you could want!!

What a wonderful stay we had. Beautiful house - very comfortable and sparkling clean. Wonderfully equipped kitchen. Comfortable bed. The setting is very beautiful and peaceful. Beautiful and Peaceful
We loved our stay! Kerry and Steve were wonderful. They gave us many tips of what to do in the area and were available for any questions. We felt special from the moment we arrived. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the house exceeded our expections. There are many special touches throughout the house. We felt pampered and look forward to returning!

Perfect getaway!
Kerry and Steve have a wonderful place nicely tucked away between the trees close to the waterfront. It's quiet, it's clean, it's full with beautiful details and the house has everything you need.
We stayed here for a week and it could not be more perfect.
The location is also perfect to venture out and explore Maine, as it sits nicely between Portland and Bar Harbor.
And yes, it's true. The blueberry muffins are delectable! :)
Thank you for having us over!

Relax and Renew
It’s hard to imagine a more perfect place to spend a relaxing time with friends or family. This beautiful home is perfectly appointed, every detail a delight, fantastic central location, with a lovely property setting and view. Each evening when we returned from our daily adventure we felt joy upon arrival back “home”. We were more than comfortable, we were completely spoiled! Kerry and Steve obviously take great care in assuring that their guests have a magical experience, from the blueberry muffins to the chilled wine, they just know how to make you feel welcome and at home. This was my first VRBO and I feel utterly spoiled and have a hard time imagining another place or owners who will meet this very high standard. What can I say - we’ll be back! There are so many places to visit from this vantage point but don’t forget Bath!

A Perfect Maine Place to Stay a While
The Juniper Ledge House was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, had very comfortable living room, bedroom, and outdoor furniture, and up to date technology throughout the property. Kerry and Steve were the perfect hosts. They welcomed us upon arrival and left homemade muffins, a nice bottle of wine awaited our arrival. We were even treated to a Blue Angels show right from the back deck. The jets flew right over the roof of the house several times. We just happened to be there at the right time. It is also a great central location to see places suggested by Kerry and Steve. One of best stays ever! We would highly recommend.
