Dock details: The dock is 20 feet in length. The cottage is right on the shores of Moosehead Lake with a flat grassy lawn and a smooth rocky shoreline with a pebble bottom - great for swimming! There is also a large breakwater of rocks about 50 feet offshore which keeps the swimming area in front of the cottage calmer than the rest of the lake.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Such an amazing view, and great place to sit around the fire. Really enjoyed the sandy swim area

Nice and cozy. Perfect for our small family of 3. The shower was quite small. Our son and I really enjoyed swimming in the lake and how close to the cabin it was.

The lake is steps from the cabin. The kids enjoyed swimming in the lake and bonfires every night.

If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful place to stay, this is the one! The cabin was extremely clean, beds were comfortable and the shower was nice and hot, and the views of the lake can’t be beat, and the location of this cabin is also ideal- it was close to many hikes, and extremely close to the local grocery store and all the restaurants.

We love this cabin. We spent the week on the waterfront of Moosehead Lake. Each day we listened to loons serenade us. We swam, relaxed and marveled at the star filled night sky.

The cabin sits about 20 feet from the water’s edge, just exactly what I wanted. It was very clean but had a little bit of a musty smell that is probably common for the location. If I ever get back this direction, I want to stay there again.
The bathroom and bedrooms are small, but it wasn’t a problem. It would be nice to have lounge chairs outside instead of just straight back. The picnic table was handy.
FYI: No washer and dryer, and I didn’t see one in town either.

Great location with amazing views.

Excellent place right on the lake BUT you can't check in until 4 PM and out at 10AM? Takes out a whole day. That is the only drawback.

We love this property - the location is fantastic and the house is comfortable
We do wish they had some nicer chairs outside to relax in . And the gas grill was pretty gross (hadn’t been cleaned after last person)
Other than that is was great !

Lovely cabin. Very clean, kitchen well stocked. One thing that would be nice would be to have bars installed in shower. Safety feature for us older people. Overall we were very pleased with the cabin and would definitely stay there again. Views of lake are awesome both inside cabin and out!

BEST VIEW OF THE SUNSET! By far my favorite thing about the location. The home is cozy and perfect for a weekend gettaway. We had 2 couples, 4 total. There’s a grill to cook, a fire pit (just be sure to bring your own chairs) & amazing views right on the lake. Not too far from the town area either!

Everything happened as expected. House was very clean upon arrival. The house is small but perfect for a couple or small family. Would be 5 stars if wifi were available. Perfect alternative to the local motel options.

We’ve been fortunate to stay at this waterfront location for 6+ years.
This past week we dedicated ourselves to relaxation. The cabin has all the amenities necessary and then some.
Each night the loons serenaded us to sleep as the stars shone above.
Beautiful.

Water’s Edge
Loved the privacy, the closeness and ease of access to the water (even though the water level was extremely low), the sunsets and the loons. During this pandemic period it was nice to know there was a safe place to get away relax and not worry about getting infected. Would definitely return again.

Heaven
We have vacationed at Moosehead every year for over a decade, and this is the first time we have stayed at this cabin. This was perfection. Incredibly clean and neat, well stocked, and the beds were very comfortable! Sad to leave in the morning.

Would have been 5 stars with an AC
A beautiful clean home right on the water. We were very pleased with the cleanliness, the comfort of the furnishings and the view, and we were even left firewood for use at the fire pit.
However we had the misfortune of staying during an unusual heat wave in June with temps in the 90s and high humidity. After hiking 7 miles in the cooler part of the day, returning to the cabin in that weather was almost impossible to bear. We managed by wading in and out of the lake (still super cold in June), but that was challenging too without shade. It cooled off bearably in late evening, but we were all pretty drained by then and made poor company.
The main bed was very comfortable and the bunk beds were old spring mattresses. There were 2 window fans provided and salt and pepper in the kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs. There were some board games in the closet. There is a mirror in the bathroom that most likely has peeling lead paint on it - be advised.

Great view, great location
This cabin is steps from the lake edge and has the perfect view of sunset. We enjoyed the grill for eating at the cabin as well as the proximity to downtown Greenville for restaurants. Great place for a 2-night getaway.

Luv the location, cabin is wonderfully clean & neat. The bath towels, fresh linens on made beds are great. The twin bunks are a little hard and squeaky. Trash removal was unclear.
We hope to back for a 3rd year next June!

A hikers and sunset lovers dreAm!
A beautiful scenic lake. Cozy and clean cabin right on the lake. Could go swimming if it were warmer. Watched the sunset everyday and it was beautiful. Mt. Katahdin is 2hrs away. Big and Little Moose Mountain are a short car ride. Mt. Kineo is 20mins and best seen by taking the ferry in Rockwell. Local supermarket is close by. We canoed in a lot of different ponds and lakes. Has a grill and all appliances in kitchen work well.

Anniversary staycation
We live in Maine and really enjoyed the serenity and stunning beauty of the property and Moosehead Lake. In a world of chaos, this gave us a week to reset, recharge, and relax. While the amenities were simple, we had everything we needed. The listing said two full beds, but we were pleased that there was a queen bed. We would recommend this property to our friends and family.

Absolutely Peaceful and Quiet.
We love everything about this cabin on Moosehead Lake. It’s quiet and peaceful.
Comfortable for 2 couples. Our hosts are amazing.
We heard loons every day, watched the sunsets, enjoyed looking at the stars and this year we were able to see the comet on the horizon.

The property was right on the water with the most amazing sunset. The swimming spot is perfect. It is extremely close to the other cottages but otherwise absolutely amazing.

Fantastic View
We really enjoyed our stay here! The view is amazing and the lake is just a few short steps in front of the cottage. Perfect location to enjoy the sunsets. I never did receive any communication telling us what the check-in process is for this cottage but a quick phone call to the property manager and they gave me the code to the lockbox and all was fine. We would definitely stay here again. Cottage is as advertised. Don't expect any condiments to be available (we usually don't expect it) and the one addition to the kitchen that would have been helpful would have been a frying pan but we managed just fine. There were other baking pans available to improvise with.

Beautiful views!
Great little place with gorgeous views and very clean accommodations. It’s small, and the bunk beds are ridiculously noisy which makes sleep rough at times, but that’s nitpicking.
