Great location near downtown Louisville restaurants and bars. House has great inside/outside areas for gathering. All the amenities you need for a great stay. Hosts very responsive with questions about property and easy check in/out.

We enjoyed staying at this eclectic house. There were 6 of us & we had plenty of room.
Even though the parking is free, it xan be difficult to find a space. It is across from a large apartment complex.
The availability of hot water is spotty. If you start the dishwasher, you don't have hit water in the sink. You can only get 2 hot showers in the a.m. or p.m. so you have to stagger those depending on the size of your party.
The number of outlets in the downstairs bedrooms should be increased for happy guests.
It's a great location for the bourbon trail & close to some excellent restaurants.

My friends and i were in Kentucky picking a barrel at Buffalo Trace. We went to bardstown and frankfurt but stayed in Louisville. House was great and had a lot of character. Plenty of beds for 7. Also great back porch for hanging out. The location was very convenient to all of the distilleries in Louisville.
I highly recommend this place!

Overall we had a nice stay, but the place could’ve felt cleaner.

The kitchen was filthy and you couldn't take your shoes off. There is no family room, other than in an upstairs bedroom, this is not a family friendly home and was not in a nice area. Would only recommend this for someone that needs a place to crash with a lot of beds. Terrible experience.

Property is in a fantastic location that made walking downtown a pleasure! Home is unique with Art displays and a comfortable hangout in the backyard on beautiful nights. If you are a large group, you will want to be comfortable sharing the space with your friends as the layout has multiple beds, but sharing spaces. Very cool and perfect for our experience.

Enjoyed the weekend with friends! Really nice place with plenty of room for all 7 of us. Close to all the action too. Easy to get into and out of since it’s close to the interstate!

Initially looked to be in a little sketchy area. Parking is on the street so first come first serve. Right next to commercial business and a freeway overpass. That being said we did hear some noise late morning but really not bad as far as noise over all. Two bedrooms on the main floor share a sliding “barn door” that separate them and the bathroom is inside the one bedroom. Great kitchen and back yard space. We enjoy sitting outside in the evening. The other bedroom was upstairs with a very large sitting room. Clear glass door into the sitting area and curtains to pull around the beds. Another bed was stuffed into a large “closet” in the bathroom upstairs. The place was not exactly what we expected but we all did enjoy our time there. Very close to NULU and distillerys.

Excellent location and fun place to stay

To be clear this was our 2nd visit to Louisville, not this property. The property was exactly what we had hoped - central, as in walkable, location, renovated but older, functional outdoor space, with a decent price point. We would rent here again.

The property was perfect for what we wanted! The house was amazingly eclectic! We had so much fun exploring! The kitchen was very nice and just what we needed for a couple dinners in. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again! The one minor issue we had was that the listing stated that there were 3 bathrooms and there are actually on 2 (unless we couldn't find the 3rd)

The house is instagram ready and very lovely, the backyard patio is where we spent most of our time! The bathrooms are all inside of one of the rooms, which was a little tricky in the dead of night. Oddities aside the place was clean, beautiful and extremely comfortable.

This location was perfect for our time in Louisville/Bourbon Trail. Walking distance to delicious food and drink, safe, and was very comfortable for three couples.

Location was excellent, house was well-stocked, and plenty of room for a long friends weekend. Highly recommend.

Property is very nice. Unique in that there is no "family room" to gather and watch TV away from beds. But the home took full advantage of every space to place a bed.

This was a great property for 5 guys doing the Bourbon Trail. Plenty of room, clean, loved the nostalgic feel. The backyard was very nice to relax and unwind after a day of distillery tours. One thing I would note is the location. It is very close to Nulu so grabbing a bite to eat or coffee was convenient for us. I would caution families with kids to evaluate if this is the right property for you as this was right next to a bridge behind an apartment complex and a business with a loading dock. There is also a skate park within shouting distance and we could hear skaters out there at 2am. For 5 guys, this was perfectly fine. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The house is quirky, but beautiful, and it worked well for our family. We could walk to everything, and enjoyed the local restaurants/bars and especially Bock Fest. Jack was a great host and quickly answered any questions we had.

Spacious and well equipped home that made a great “home base” for visiting the many distilleries of the area. The home’s outdoor space was especially enjoyable as an evening gathering spot for our group.

We had a great stay. This property was just right for our group of 6 adult friends. Location was ideal for easy access to golf courses and distillery tours around the Louisville area. Cards in the dining room and bag toss in the back yard made for great evenings. Everything was clearly communicated and easy to find.

First the good. House is very old with extremely high ceilings. The owner appears to be a music lover and house has excellent sound system and even has a piano and a fairly decent acoustic guitar (big plus for me). You can tell a lot of money has been put into this house. Lots of custom lighting, tiled floors in several areas, nice patio and kitchen, nice use of stone in some of the walls, lots of cool light fixtures and really cool antique fixtures in dining area. Like I said, house is very old and I would have liked to see something about the history of the house. The property is also very close to the NULU neighborhood.
Nor for the not so good. The neighborhood has a lot of homeless. There is even a little shanty community just a few yards from the house. You can also see that someone has been sleeping in a crawl space next door and apparently has pried open one of the crawl space covers so they can peek into the back patio. We also tried using the patio but had to come back inside to get away for the sound of screaming homeless guys in a fight(. And we then could hear screaming inside.). The house has an odd layout and even thought it has a lot of beds, it only has 2 bathrooms and one is in a bedroom. I probably wouldn’t recommend more than two couples stay here unless you have a really close family and privacy isn’t an issue. We actually invited another friend to come join us but called him and suggested he not come because of the privacy issues. Finally, there are a lot of surveillance camera’s here and there is at least one camera inside (entrance hallway). With all the homeless around I understand why but I would personally rather stay in a place that doesn’t need cameras.
In a nutshell, some may be ok with staying here but I think next time I would rather get a hotel. In fact I think a couple of hotel rooms might actually be cheaper.

We enjoyed the location and all of the Hallowen festivities in the city. The only downside was the layout of the property. One of the bedrooms is in the bathroom. The living room area is in the upstairs bedroom as well. Funky but we made it work!

Great stay
Stayed here for the Kentucky Derby weekend. Had never been to Louisville, but the location wound up being awesome. Lots of great spots within walking distance. House was well maintained and owner communicated well. Met the maintenance person, Mike, who was super friendly and proactively offered up any help needed during our stay. The backyard was a great spot to hang out. Definitely a professionally run operation!

Quick Spring Break
Very fun and eclectic house had room for our two families. Great location to visit some great restaurants and bourbon tasting for the adults. Easy to get to kid activities like waterfront park, Louisville sluggers, and a boat ride. Very quick drive to Churchill Downs tour as well.

Kentucky Bourbon Trail Trip
The property is in a great, central location. Walkable to distilleries in town and dinner locations. Also, Jack was super receptive and was flexible with our check out. I'd stay here again if I go back!

Great location for bourbon trail
This is a great house and location for exploring the area. Easy access to plenty of good food by foot or vehicle. Great host and if we come back we will stay again.

Centrally located
Good central location, easy walk to NULU area restaurants and bars. Little further walk to downtown whiskey row. Interesting layout of rooms. Primary congregation area is master bedroom. There are only 2 bathrooms, for the 6 beds in 3.5 bedrooms. Quirky but workable, just be aware it’s not a traditional style home.
