I stayed here in September 2024 for a conference at George Fox University. I was very pleased: a comfortable, large space just a couple of blocks from campus. I’d definitely stay here again, and found myself thinking I’d like to bring my wife back here and visit wineries sometime.

Came to help my son move in for his sophomore year at GFU. Great location, clean, and the apartment has everything you could need for a home away from home. Thank you for the hospitality!

Cozy little property. The welcome provisions were lovely and if you don't have time to hit the grocery store before the next morning - you have all the breakfast fixings waiting for you. The flowers were a nice touch. Loved being able to walk to downtown. It was also a great location for winery visits. Denise was very pleasant to work with.

My husband and I stayed here while he attended a conference at George Fox University. It was quaint and comfortable and walking distance to the university and downtown. I loved the flowers out front and in the pretty neighborhood. Denise was very responsive and friendly. We would definitely stay there again!

Super clean, cozy, comfortable apartment above the garage. WOW, we loved it and our host Denise was very helpful in picking out which wineries to visit and other tips. Bed and living room all very comfortable and the kitchen was very well furnished. Thank you Denise for providing this exceptional lodging for travelers!

Pleasant apartment in a good location in the heart of Newberg. Walking distance to downtown, George Fox University and Friendsview. Homey with nice hospitality from the host: fresh local w to grind and brew, fresh fruit, fresh eggs, etc. Quiet street and nice and dark at night.

Great location for tasting rooms and cute local shops. The apartment had everything I needed, comfortable and well equipped. Denise even stocked me with breakfast items! She is thoughtful and kind. My only comment would be that parts of the neighborhood are visually run down but at no time did I ever feel unsafe.

We stayed in the apartment for a month. The location and amenities were perfect for us. We enjoyed for a walk each day and the closeness of the downtown area (just a short walk away.) The apartment was very clean and Denise was available whenever we had a question or issue. When we arrived, the Internet was very, very slow and sometimes it would shut down. This was fixed in the third week of our stay and it was great when we left. The washing machine broke down our last week and needed to be replaced. A new machine was scheduled to be installed the day after we left. All in all, it was a great place for us to stay.

We had an awesome time in Willamette Valley. This place was VERY clean and Denise was very responsive. She also provided a few items in the refrigerator and a bottle of wine. The place was very quiet. If it had been warmer, we would have enjoyed the patio. It was our first experience using Vrbo and i would use Vrbo again and would also stay in this apartment again. Denise...thanks for such a wonderful experience.

Denise made our stay very enjoyable with a darling apartment with so many extra touches like fresh flowers from her garden, fresh eggs from her chickens, local coffee beans and a few snacks on the refrigerator. The location was great for touring wineries and driving to the historic highway along the Columbia River.

Denise has thought of everything to make this space welcoming and comfortable. We had everything we needed and then some! The location is perfect with an easy walk to town where you’ll find restaurants, tasting rooms, cute shops and bars. George Fox College is very close and offers a beautiful campus to explore. We were there in mid September which is not a busy time or year. Denise’ garden was full of ripe tomatoes and grapes. The outdoor area was a great spot for coffee or cocktails!
Fruit bowl, eggs, bagels, coffee, half and half, OJ and bottle of wine provided were wonderful!

We had a great stay and Denise was friendly and so accommodating. The space was comfortable and clean. The extra touches of having a few breakfast items in the refrigerator were appreciated so we didn't have to run to the store and we could focus on moving our son into GFU. We were walking distance to GFU and to the cute downtown. The neighborhood is darling too. We will be back to stay there when we visit our son! Thank you Denise for your warm hospitality!

Well furnished, lovely attic apartment in prime neighborhood location walking distance to downtown. But the best part is the gracious host who thinks of everything, including the special touches like blueberries from her bushes and eggs from her hens. If we ever return to the area, we’ll stay here again. Highest recommendation.

Excellent place. Excellent design. Great location next to down town.
Warm and welcoming decor, comfy patio with garden and gorgeous roses and flowers all around. A bonus amenity you will have to see for yourself!! Accommodating host, comfort is her # 1 concern.

Denise was a fantastic host — check in was easy and had the place stocked with coffee, juice, bagels, cream cheese, and fresh eggs from her chickens. Cozy, but plenty of room to relax. We visited 6 wineries in 2 days (3 on a tour that picked us up right at the house). Just a few blocks from fantastic restaurants in Newberg and close to so many wineries and other towns.

We had a wonderful stay. Our hostess was so thoughtful, having stocked the kitchen with a few breakfast essentials (coffee, fruit, bagels, eggs). We spent some time sitting outside in the evening, enjoying her garden and a little fire in the chiminea. Looking forward to visiting again!

We just loved our weekend getaway and will be returning in July! The apartment is so cute; private entrance up a set of stairs. The apartment had all the comforts and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. Our host stocked the fridge with some staples, had a bowl of fresh fruit on the island and fresh cut flowers waiting for us. Very walkable to quaint downtown Newberg and, of course, right in the doorway to Wine Country. Appreciated the friendly hospitality and a highly recommended place to start your exploration of Newberg, Dundee & surrounding areas!

I absolutely adore this property and neighborhood. The apartment is so charming and comfortable and I really felt like home. The owners show their appreciation for their guests with hot the apartment is furnished, decorated and inclusive of breakfast and beverages. They even have resident ducks Thelma and Louise who will greet you from the driveway. Their continued great reviews will make it much harder to rent their place but they deserve it.

Our stay was great. We did a weekend away and we're only about a half hour from home, but felt like we were far away! It was quiet, comfortable, clean, and easy. Great location in Newberg, but also in wine country.

This is my new favorite place to stay in Newberg! It's very close to historic downtown, but on a quiet shady street - and Denise's garden is lovely. The apartment is spacious for two, with a well-appointed kitchen (breakfast stocked fridge!), comfy couch, and soft bed. We'll be back!

Host was a great communicator. Nice touch with fresh eggs, coffee, bagels for breakfast. Comfortable and clean. Great location.

We stayed at this property for a quick golf weekend getaway. The location is ideal as it's in the downtown Newberg area and an easy walk to restaurants, George Fox, etc... The photos in the listing accurately depict the apartment. The layout of the apartment is great as it feels much larger. Denise was great to communicate with and had a variety of breakfast fixings/fruit in the apartment prior to our arrival which was a nice added touch. I would definitely stay here again.

The property is so very comfortable, the hostess so accommodating. All necessities on hand plus fresh flowers, fresh eggs from “the girls” and bagels and cream cheese for a welcome breakfast. Top of the list for the many properties we have stayed at. Good location in a quiet residential area. We are submitting our adoption papers. Thank you so very much for everything.

Prime location to GFU and downtown. We ran into a small issue and the owner was very responsive and the problem was fixed quickly and with compassion. Owner puts a ton of effort into making sure their guests are comfy and provides lots of unexpected extras.

This apartment was a perfect fit for my friend and me, with one of us in the bedroom and the other using the couch as our second bedroom. The TV had so many apps! A huge number of options. The bathroom towels were plush and plenty. The toilet is separated with a door from the sink area. There are LOTS of mirrors. Our host, Denise, went above and beyond in her hospitality providing us with fresh eggs from her chickens (so yummy), bagels with cream cheese and butter, gourmet coffee and half and half, packets of cheeses, and individual still and sparkling water. Wow. I also liked the functionality - two rods in closets for clothes hanging, two dressers, a large laundry room with washer and dryer. Plenty of pillows and sheets/blankets. Easy parking right in front of the entrance. We would definitely return.

Our family used to live in Newberg and came back for a vacation. This sparkling new vacation rental was a perfect launching pad for us to visit family and friends in the area, and revisit favorite places like the coast and the drive-in. It is conveniently located one block from George Fox University and is a short walk to downtown and coffee shops. Denise went above and beyond the norm for hosts. She thoughtfully provided bagels, a fruit bowl, fresh eggs from her chickens, and other basic foods so that we wouldn't have to hit the store for groceries before breakfast. She allowed us to have one or two guests over at a time to join us for meals or chat. We also appreciated having our own washer and dryer to help stretch our wardrobe. To find the unit, look for the street number on the front of the house, then go around the corner to the staircase. I would highly recommend this vacation rental for two to three people who are able to climb one flight of stairs.

We spent four nights in this home away from home and it was absolutely perfect. We were greeted by hour host Denise when we arrived. The fridge was stocked with fresh eggs from her very own chickens along with fruit, bagels and juice. The location was great…near downtown and we felt very comfortable in the home. I would highly recommend this fabulous location and we will be back!!

We really enjoyed our stay. Inside the apartment was great space for our long weekend getaway. We loved the breakfast items provided for us. The one area that was an initial concern was the outside curb appeal. It didn’t match the lovely inside appeal of the apartment. A fresh coat of paint and stain outside would have eased our initial concerns when we first drove up to the property.

Cute place above a garage. Very quiet. Huge bathroom. Space was big enough to enjoy dinner with a party of 5.
The location is central to many wineries and great restaurants!

My husband and I stayed in Denise’s little apartment above her home when we went to George Fox University’s graduation. The apartment is beautifully renovated and decorated very cute. Denise left delicious coffee, eggs, bagels and cream cheese and orange juice and cheese in the fridge. She made us feel very welcome and was very communicative and helpful. I would highly recommend staying in the apartment if you’re ever in Newberg. I’m looking forward to going back for my daughters graduation from George Fox. Next year. The apartment is so close George Fox Campus and walking distance to everything you need downtown. Such a great place! Cant wait to go back!
