Below the average in Vietnam
Hot/cold water machine with drinkable water. Pet friendly. Security guy is fair and helping as he can, I also got second key and access card when I had a visitor. Room for 2 means no additional charge for second person if you book for one. Free parking for motorcycle, inside and locked. Room as promised, just a little dirty window. Relatively soft bed.
I booked 90 nights 3 weeks before my arrival. They said on booking.com that I may pay by card.
However, first of all the address and location on the map on booking is wrong, the apartment is located like 2 km far from that.
Second, when I get online in Hanoi airport (and I can no longer cancel my booking) I get messages on whatsapp, that there is a problem with my room and I have to accommodate on a third address for 2 nights and that they don’t accept cards, I have to pay cash and upfront. Try to get 40 milion dongs from ATM... I came to work here, so spending all working day by moving from one place to another 3 km far upset me. They also charged me with late checkout fee. The room is supposed to be 48 square meters according to booking.com but it is 6.5 x 5.5, that is 35 square meters. Nobody speak a word in english at any of the accommodations. Somebody wrote me in poor english on whatsapp and I had a hard time to explain that I need a receipt or some other confirmation to show at work. I pay 70 - 80 000 VND for every 19L water bottle, understandable, but still a hidden fee. In the beginning, there was a cleaning lady and I had cleaning every 3 days. For the last two months, the security guy is responsible for cleaning and I have to text his boss with request for cleaning, because he is alone for multiple buildings and it is sometimes hard to find him. I complained on booking.com and the accommodation didn't even reply, so booking refunded me with 20% of the price. I was also travelling in Vietnam, I tried many accommodations, I had to complain just in two cases out of 10.
