The Hotel is in a very quiet location, almost hidden from the world . Found it peaceful , the short time we were there.
The property yes as stated in most reviews appears outdated BUT. There is nothing like functioning facilities when one books a place to stay . We had a good hot shower. Bed looked small on appearance but on sleeping on the bed it was very comfortable and surprisingly fitted two people comfortably . Leaving adequate space for one to have a good nights sleep.
Surprisingly the room had tea making facilities, and a little fridge to keep one’s refreshments . I take soya milk, was able to buy my own and keep In the fridge.
We were given one key sadly but I’m
Sure had we asked for another we would have been given one. We just did not bother .
The one key somehow would not work on return after midnight but the staff were excellent . THREE members of staff came to our aid. Issue was resolved instantly with pleasant looking faces.
Thank you. Will certainly book again.
Pleasant experience considering we were hesitating initially due to reviews we read .
Good value for money indeed , peaceful , greenery area large but may need some attention due to the rains.

équipement chambre correct
Propreté très douteuse, en particulier la douche très encrassée. Mobilier de la salle breakfast sale
Breakfast peu copieux : nescafé en poudre, croissants rassis ...

Staff were really friendly and helpful and the room was very large (think we had a disabiliy-friendly room so everything was very spacious)
It seems like it's handy to Gatwick airport but unless you have your own car it's not easy to get to/from Gatwick. An uber from the airport was £30 and a taxi from the hotel back to Gatwick was £28. So whilst the hotel was cheap it wasn't convenient. The hotel is very remote and a bit spooky. The bed was really uncomforable, shower pressure was bad and the fire alarm in our room went off twice at 3am.

Location, Manager and the room.
Not my first stay here, the manager was welcoming and accommodating, friendly without being over familiar.
Nothing to dislike.

the single member of staff we saw was pleasant and helpful
Lane leading to the hotel was full of huge potholes and partially flooded. There was no restaurant which meant we had to risk driving down the lane more than I would have liked. I was worried about getting stranded and missing our early morning flight at Gatwick which was the purpose of our stay so didn't sleep well. Think I got off lightly with just a puncture that I had to get repaired when we got home. There was a notice in the reception for how to claim for any damages from the local council which suggests its not the hotels responsibility, but still...
Room itself was clean but some of the floorboards under the carpet were loose. The bathroom door got jammed and I was trapped in there for a few minutes which caused a slight panic.
Never again.

The room absolutely stank of smoke, especially in the bathroom, like someone had smoked a packet of cigarettes in there. Awful.
We got there gone 9pm and needed to get up at 4am so we didn’t want to move rooms and lose sleep, so I can’t comment on whether we would have been given another room.
The road leading up to the hotel was filled with potholes and if we weren’t driving a 4x4 I’m sure the car would have been damaged (there was even a sign at reception with who to contact if your car was damaged…)

its close to the airport
the rooms are literally falling apart, the place is hard to find down a beaten track, the shower was completely overflowing every time we used it and we were just given more towels too dry it up! needs a good revamp!

As a hotel close to Gatwick, it’s basic but will serve its purpose. As an airport parking, suggesting you would go there by car, forget it.
Country road leading up to the hotel is full of potholes you have never seen, filled with water, almost impossible to navigate. In wet conditions suitable only for 4x4 and vans. If you don’t care about your car and like some adrenaline before your flight, this would do.

The location is beautiful and peaceful. Nice and close to a stop over to Gatwick airport the next morning..Allow 30 minute drive at 7am.
Very well run, credit to the management ,safe organisation with security and key fobs.
Our room was spotless and the bed was so comfy I could have stayed there longer.......
Shame there were not any clothes hooks in the bathroom.
Also the vending machine didn't have much variety apart from chocolate and crisps.Would be a good idea to have cartoons of juice, milk, healthy snacks,

Queda cerca del aeropuerto
El personal ausente todo el tiempo, solo hay una persona, el sistema de apertura de puertas estaba malo, ofrecían un desayuno continental y no había sino pan y mermelada y además cobraban 6 libras

Nothing was to like
The driveway up to hotel was the worst Ive ever seen when calling the hotel to find a new route they said it was the only one and not there responsibility
3.5 / 5.0
The hotel was great for being close to the airport and there were lots of facilities. The bathroom was clean. They provided microwave and kettle all the necessary extras
The road to the hotel had far too many pot holes. Needs to be sorted. You can damage your car getting there and back

Beautiful room with excellent heating and bathroom. There was also an ironing board, and a minifridge. Lighting was also very good and the environment very quiet and peaceful. I have stayed here before but the room I was allocated this time was by far the best. Super quality for a very reasonable price.
My only complaint (just like last time) is the alley from the main road to the hotel. It is absolulely riddled with potholes and has to be driven at less than 5 mph if you don´t want to damage your car!

We had a fog light right out side our window, there was bugs in the bathroom in the shower and all round the floor by the sink. The sink was leaking. The bed was on the slant. A massive gap under the door letting in light from the hallway. Room was freezing.

Nothing never got there
The road to the property was flooded and not passable in a car. We watched a lorry struggle to get through and another car which could not get through. Rang the hotel but they would not help as they said other people had managed it!!! Had to book elsewhere for the night as we could not walk there neither! They should have informed us of the flooding as we drove for 4 hours to get there!!!

The location was good for the airport and aircraft noise was surprisingly low
It was quite hard to find because of signposting and the furnishings and things like carpet weren’t great but ok for one night for the price. Glad we didn’t bother booking breakfast which looked basic for the price

Very welcoming manager ,very large well furnished bedroom ,surprised to see fridge and microwave
Difficult to find particularly at night no signage from the road, access road dangerous large pot holes and flooded. No glasses provided in bathroom or bedroom really tatty carpet. Shower cubicle needed cleaning

It has a lot of land and it felt like we were at the country side . Nice and peaceful
The standard double room we were put in was a small double bed and we had to change rooms although reception were happy to move us to another room. They said all beds were the same size for the standard double but I showed them my parter laying on both beds and I’m sure they agreed the bed size was different .
Not a complaint at all as they didn’t question me and were happy to allow us another room. Very helpful and would still come back again.

A really good double room with coffee and tea making facilities and only a short drive to Crawley and Gatwick airport making it an idea place for catching flights from Gatwick and getting good evening meals in Crawley

Very convenient as very near to the Airport. Plenty of parking.
Potholes leading up to the property.
Shower drain not very clean, and lots of cobwebs in the room.

10 mins from Gatwick.
Having a microwave in a hotel room is a great feature. Good size room, allowed us to sort out overweight cases with ease.
Very basic but it did the job for a place close to Gatwick.
As soon as we checked in we found the bathroom smelt like someone had VERY recently used it, I won't go into details but it didn't smell very nice.
Spotted a silver fish on the bed and cobwebs on the lights oh and the rail for the wardrobe fell down as soon as we touched it...

DO NOT ORDER BREAKFAST Terrible worst ever had breakfast. Aspecting continental breakfast , in reality some old bread ( kept in the fridge) butter , 3 types of jam, few boxes of cereal , milk … that’s it . Ah , when complaining there was some cheap , long life supermarkets croissants and muffins was offered ( directly from supermarkets pack ) . My children went for one pack of cereal , one muffin and one croissant each , I had toast with butter and bit of jam . Worth less than £2 In total , charged £12 extra
.
They told me they have no chef , well you could put some cheeses , hams , fresh rolls without any chefs !?
Search for some good breakfast around, or have some at airport .
I’m sure charity for homelessness would offer better breakfast .
Shame of you . I will take it to booking com

It was simple and met my needs. Did not have a wow factor so you might be disappointed if that’s what you want but it’s decent and 6mon drive from restaurants and all entertainment facilities yet in very quiet woods. Would use again
Cleaners knocked on my door 2 min to checkout prompting me about my checkout which wasn’t nice at all.

The scenery and its setting
The TVs aerials didn't work in 2 rooms our first room we had to swap within 5 minutes as I noticed the window didn't lock and we were on the ground floor and the TV didn't work so we swapped rooms the TV still didn't work but atleast the windows locked in the new room although the bedsheets were also filthy not the worst stay but needs more care and attention to the little things
