Geweldige locatie wat liefde verdient

De inrichting van zowel de accomodatie als het terrein waren grandioos. Het uitzicht was geweldig! Mooie knusse zitjes overal. Een paradijsje!

Het paradijsje moet men wel goed blijven onderhouden! Achterstallig tuinonderhoud op het terrein. Zonde want het is zo mooi ingericht. De gastheer die kon helaas niet met veel charme vertellen over de wijnen en de familie. Voor zover wij hebben begrepen wordt de accomodatie geëxploiteerd door buitenstaanders. De passie ontbrak. Geen wijnproeverij. Het eten was duur en naar onze mening niet vers bereid op de avond zelf. De prijs/kwaliteit verhouding vonden we derhalve onvoldoende. Het ontbijt was rijkelijk maar de broodjes niet vers. De glazen op de kamer waren niet schoon. De kamer op zich wel!

Superb stay at la Quinta da Pousada

The setting was superb as was the food. We ate well and were taken care of by Antonio, Andre and Marietta and the resident 3 cats. It was a magical setting.

Grundsätzlich schöner Aufenthalt

Wunderschön in den Reben gelegen. Schöner Pool und Anlage. Andre & Frühstücksservice war sehr bemüht und freundlich. Das Essen ist gut.

Man wird bei Abreise gerade zu aufgefordert ins Gästebuch zu schreiben. Man kann nur bar oder mit Banktransfer zahlen, keine Karte (weder Debit noch Kredit) - etwas mühsam. Die Preise fürs Abendessen (40 € pro Person), Wein (20€) sind eher hoch für ein solches Guesthouse.

Lovely stay in the impressive Douro valley.

Location was fantastic, with a view into the valley. Our room was newly done, in very good condition and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and the option is available to have dinner here as well (against payment). We also enjoyed a port tasting here, which we very much enjoyed. All people here were very friendly and the owners are very involved.

Unfortunately, some other guests kept us awake the first night. The rest of our stay the room next to us remained empty. Therefore not sure if it was the guests or the thin walls.

Man erwartet mehr

Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön gelegen und war sicher einmal sehr schön. Der Essbereich mit den großen Fenstern ist sehr einladend. Man kann direkt in den angrenzenden Weinberg laufen.

Es fehlt ein an Liebe zum Objekt, ehrlicher Gastfreundschaft und Begeisterung. Die Region lebt von ihrer wunderschönen Natur und der Herzlichkeit der Menschen. Aber hier wirkte alles sehr geschäftsmäßig und aufgesetzt. Die Preise sind überzogen. Die Außenanlagen werden vernachlässigt. Sehr schade. Es wäre ein schöner Ort.

Les chambres sont très confortables, spacieuses et très bien décorées Les repas ainsi que le petit déjeuner sont très bons et très copieux La villa est très belle, au cœur des vignes

Het is er een en al rust… heerlijk Personeel is ok. Ontbijt is ok, met vers fruit. Ze mogen wel wat meer the geven Kamer ok - simpel en proper - meer hoeft dat niet te zijn

Eten ter plaatse namen we de menu met fles wijn ..25 euro voor fles huiswijn is aan dure kant

Superb stay

Beautiful views, a wonderful welcome and a very comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Very rich and complete breakfast made of tasty ingredients. We also had dinner, which was great value for money, but you have to go on an empty stomach ;)

For this price, the room should come with a box of tissues, shampoo, and beach towels. The pool needed to be cleaned.

Best way to enjoy the Douro Valley!

Hosts are amazing, ready to welcome you and to make you feel at home. Staff is super prepared and helpful to satisfy your needs (we travelled with a little dog). Breathless view on the valley from the pool, marvellous restaurant with quality dishes, clean and warm room and stunning Porto experience with the excellent Carlos.

Best accomodation I ever visited!

I usually don't like to use superlatives but I'm not exaggerating when I say that this Quinta was the best accomodation I had in my life so far. My room was superb, the breakfast and lunch tasted amazing, the staff was extremly friendly, helpful and respectful. Most of them speak english very well or even perfectly. The location is picturesque and relaxed, you can enjoy an amazing view over the surrounding wineyards from the balcony or the terrace. There is a swimming pool and there are a lot of hiking opportunities in the area. Perfect place to stay!

Not really a critisicm to the Quinta itself, but just a (probably) useful information for potential guests: The road to the Quinta is not illuminated for the most part and doesn't have any reflectors. So I would advice against driving to the Quinta during night time (or if you still plan to do so, drive very slow and careful).

Everything was great! Fantastic apartment with stunning views! The owners and all the staff are friendly and do anything to make your stay perfect! Fully recommend the porto tasting with Carlos, he is friendly, knowledgeable and gives a very good explanation of the different types of Porto wine. The meals are all home cooked and portions are extremely generous! Will definitely recommend this beautiful quinta.

A perfect place to stay!

Thank you Carlos for a wonderful stay! The view from this Quinta is spectacular and the hospitality was amazing! Carlos was the perfect host. The rooms are super clean and modern but still charming. We booked the set menu dinner one night and Carlos even managed to work around making it gluten free for me. We wish we had stayed longer than 2 nights but hope to be back!

One of the best stays we ever had! The property is beautiful, well-maintained, with amazing views and many quiet spots for relaxing. We did a Tawny tour and had 2 wine tastings with Carlos, who was amazing, so knowledgeable and attentive. He made sure we had a great experience at the Quinta. Owner Antonio was super nice as well and gave us some friendly tips regarding the valley and wine. We’ll be back!

Exceptional

Excellent stay at Quinda da Pousada! Everything was perfect! Carlos had great communication throughout and his customer service was second to none - nothing was too difficult and he was very approachable. We did a port tasting with him and he was very knowledgeable - it gave us a new appreciation for Port. We also walked around the vineyards and took in the spectacular views. The food was excellent too - the breakfast was very filling especially. I would highly recommend and stay again. Great place to relax!

Scenic vineyard stay

The property is on a vineyard so the views are stunning. It's a lovely and scenic drive to get here. It feels like you're driving in the sky and so close to the clouds. I stopped several times on my drive in just to take in the beauty. The roads are winding so if you get motion sickness you may need gravol. You can explore the vineyard at your leisure. The place is really quiet and there's a restaurant where you can have your meals. It's a good place to relax.

I would recommend booking tours in advance. It rained in October and was a bit chilly while I was there so I couldn't do much. Probably better in the summer. As a solo traveller I felt this was too quiet and remote for me and some of the tours required a minimum of 2 people. The quinta is also at least a 5-7 minute drive from the nearest cafe so it's better to have a car if you're visiting.

A wonderful place to relax, or a base to take trips. Fantastic.

An idilic setting, amongst vines that were just ripening, so the grapes were being picked. So relaxing a place, and great for trips to Lamargo and Pinhao. As to the breakfasts and dinner, they were scrumptious, but so large they were impossible to finish. The staff were extremely friendly, especially Anna, whom was one of the best staff members I've ever met.

Fantastic location in the heart of the Douro valley

Absolutely amazing! Great location, easily reachable by train from Porto to Regua, then 15-mns taxi ride. Everything was beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Special thanks to Carlos who took us on a vineyard tour and wine tasting/port tasting journey on his birthday!! It was an AMAZING experience. Thanks for the memories.
