The cottage was great, the owners personally met us on arrival to give us a tour and were very responsive during our stay.
You could tell that they really cared about the quality of our stay. The property had lots of things that made it easy for us as guests like cooking basics, dishwasher tablets, coffee plunger, hot water bottles, bathroom products etc.
We had a really comfortable stay and would happily recommend the property.
The property is around 25-35 minutes out of town spending on traffic. It was nice to be in a quite area and there were a few things to so close by.

Lovely clean cottage with everything you need. Very peaceful, but within easy reach of all main roads. Morven was a wonderful host.

The cottage
Far from the city and no house keeping on daily basis.

The layout of the cottage was fantastic and offered us all the facilities we needed.
Very clean and well presented.
Hosts very friendly and helpful.

Location was perfect. We used the bus service every day to get into City which was very efficient and the drivers were super courteous.
There was nothing not to like

Lovely place to stay for our bank holiday weekend.

I loved the whole place, it was well set out and beautifully presented. I really liked all the condements that were in the cupboards. I packed them all as normally properties like this dont have them but this one had everything. The extra touch of hot water bottles on the bed made it more special. The living room was nice and cosy with a good sound bar, fully stocked with books and games for anyone to enjoy.
I do not think there was anything i did not like. The place was fantastic.

Fantastic cottage that is just outside Edinburgh and enough to make you feel in the countryside. Perfect base to go for walks or relax.

It is a wonderful location, with a great walk down to the beach and easy access by car to the city centre. The living room upstairs has a great view, and lovely for relaxing and playing with our grandchild. We didn't arrive until after midnight, and our host was there to meet us outside the property with absolutely no complaint.

The hosts, Morven and Malcolm, were amazing! Before we even arrived, Morven was so wonderful at quickly answering any questions we had and was extremely helpful when we arrived at Edinburgh airport to make sure we found the cottage and was there to welcome us. This is just what you need when arriving in a new place- so kind and friendly!
The cottage is beautiful- close to the airport and city but set in gorgeous surroundings. It’s cosy and modern inside: beautifully decorated with everything you would need in the kitchen and bathrooms. The showers were fantastic and lovely touches like hot water bottles in each bedroom. Sitting in the lounge with the amazing views was just lovely after a day exploring the city. I stayed with my husband, daughter and mum and there was plenty of room. My mum could have the upstairs room with her own bathroom whilst we had downstairs which gave us all our own space. We had a very busy 4 days seeing the city and made use of the bus 43 a lot which takes about half an hour into town.
The bus stop into Edinburgh is a couple of minutes walk away as is the bus stop you get off at on the way back. £1.80 for an adult single. You can also get to Queensferry on the same bus so you don’t need a car at all unless you were exploring further a field. A bus every 30 minutes and really on time.
We also walked to the the beach one afternoon which was beautiful too and you could see Barnbougle Castle in the distance. We know there was a lot more to see if we had had time!

The cottage was furnished well and in a lovely quiet location. Excellent links via bus to the city centre. Also close to the zoo
Lovely host

Clean, quiet and well equipped. Beautiful views.
Plenty of space both indoors and out.

Very thoughtful layout and well-decorated cottage. Morven was a great host and it was great to meet her for a key handover. The garden is very pleasant and the location is great for popping in and out of Ediburgh. No issues with noise from the A90 either.
Flights overhead can be noisy. Access is a bit tricky across the main road and you definitely need to have your own car to make the most of the location. Freezer space was a bit limited due to items from previous guests.

The location was perfect.
Nothing to dislike

Excellent cottage with everything we needed and more for a week long break in Edinburgh. Near the City and also near some lovely beaches. We had a great time and Morven was an excellent host.

Lowood Cottage is a great cottage with amazing access to the City. Great for kids as there is a local farm down the road. Host Morven was very helpful and pleasant. Would definately stay again.
