Great couple of night stay- was more expensive to book on hotel.com than directly but we had vouchers to use. Having stayed at this hotel several times before we knew we liked it and it’s very easy to get into Edinburgh centre being just next to tram stop and conveniently opposite a supermarket and take away etc, we had a the pool to ourselves all times and were kindly upgraded to a suite free of charge and they popped some birthday bits in it for celebrating a special trip- still love this hotel

Great place to stay. Great links to town

The Novotel is 200 metres from the city bypass and M8 - perfect if driving from North or West. You have a great choice of bus, tram or trains to the city centre. We took a tram to Murrayfield for the rugby and it took about 15 mins. Given that it’s so good for drivers It’s frustrating to pay £250 a night and then be hit for additional parking charges. You should reconsider this charge. Staff were great and breakfast was lovely.

Really fab location, easy to get to and from Edinburgh centre. The staff kindly put up birthday banners and balloons in our room for my partners birthday- we were both chuffed!
Only negative would be the breakfast, didn’t feel it was worth £20. When we came to breakfast there was unfortunately limited options left as there had been a karate tournament and that was disappointing as £20 we didn’t feel was worth the food.
Overall would come back again!

I stayed for 5 nights and it was lovely. The staff was so kind and helpful, and the room accommodations were great! The bedding was very comfy (memory foam beds?) and the room was very clean.
The hotel has a Crispy Crème and KFC right across the street, and a little further down is a shopping center with and Aldi and TK Maxx (which I’m glad was there bc I ended up needing to buy another suitcase lol). The tram station is about a 5-7 minute walk from the hotel and for 5 euro you can purchase a day pass to ride the tram as much as you’d like, which I highly recommend if you’re going to be exploring Edinburgh. Also, the tram goes to and from the airport!
Overall, I will definitely be staying here again! It felt very safe and comfortable as a solo traveler. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful stay!

friendly staff, convenient location where tram and train station is just 5mins walk away, there is also a retail park nearby. plenty car park space but you need to pay for it, you get discounted price though if you are ALL member, still I think they needto make it free for all the guest staying in.

Nice stay for 1 night. Comfortable and modern facilities. Reasonably priced relative to much more expensive properties in the City Centre. Easy access to City Centre via tram.

Staff very polite and helpful and room and so convenient for tram line to City centre. However, I was on the first floor right above the rubbish depo and very early in the morning I could hear the code and ring sound of the door being opened. So disturbing. Especially as I had late nights supporting my son in his Edinburgh Fringe show.
They couldn’t move as expected fully booked. I booked in good time and about 7 years again this also happened to me! Will only return if I have favourable room and location!!

Overall, we enjoyed this hotel. It was clean and convenient. The "family room" concept didn't work very well for us with a three year old. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and there was no space in the room. Also several dangers within reach like immovable hot lamps, sharp corners, and a weird, two-part door with a built-in mirror on one part. Also, the shower glass is not sealed at the bottom, so water goes everywhere. But if it had only been my husband and I, the room would have been great. We appreciated the fridge and safe.
