Set in a beautiful quiet location, with all the little touches included like tea, coffee and biscuits and shampoo and body wash in the bathroom. The owner Charlie even supplied us with fresh toothbrushes as it was a last minute booking.
The breakfast hamper delivered to us in the morning was beautiful and my wife even got cuddles with Charlieās gorgeous little dog Ida. Nothing was too much hassle :)

The landlady was wonderful and so helpful, even offering to transport us to and from the wedding venue at Wood Farm
I'd have loved a cooked breakfast but the continental provided was very nice and very generous

Very comfortable. Owner was exceptionally hospitable especially as we were such a late arrival.
Everything was really lovely. It was just tricky to find in the dark, cross country on unfamiliar roads in the pouring rain.

Lovely little room, perfect for our needs (spending Christmas with family nearby), comfy, clean and pretty, Charlie was a great host, adding a few Christmas touches, a gift of wonderful cakes and great breakfast.
Shame the pub was closed! Nothing to do with the host of course!

We were met promptly by the owner who was more than willing to give us information about routes, places to eat, where to go etc etc.

The property is set in the centre of a quiet village in the Northamptonshire countryside, away from the noise of any main roads. The bedroom was cosy, warm and comfortable (we stayed in late September), with a television and en-suite shower room with comfortable twin beds. The breakfast was very good on both days, with a wide choice of breakfast options. It was prepared to order (book the night before) and delivered to eat alfresco looking out over the village. The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable of the surrounding area and its many attractions and activities.

Breakfasts were served with careful restriction observed. Delicious continental style breakfast freshly prepared fruit selection, yogurts, fruit juice, cereals, croissants, pan au chocolat. Delicious!
We didn't need to ask for anything to be different. Nothing too much trouble for Charlie.

Charlie was so accommodating and we loved every minute of our stay. Nice and clean. The bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was continental style breakfast but Charlie even made us bacon & egg rolls to help with the wedding hangover. Lovely relaxing place to stay in the countryside.
Nothing we didnāt like but be aware that the pub in the village is closed & unlikely to open for a while but there are lots of other places nearby to eat but you would need transport

It was clean, comfortable and great value for money. We were well cared for. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful. We went on some beautiful country walks and enjoyed the scenery.
It was everything we wanted in a quiet country break away. It was a shame the local pub was closed but this was to be expected.

Probably one of the best stays Iāve ever had. We stayed for 2 nights (fri & sat). The room was immaculate along with the food and service. Charlie was the perfect host who couldnāt do enough to make the stay memorable - along with drying our boots and coats on the Aga after a long wet walk in the countryside. Highly recommended and will be returning. Thanks Charlie!
Nothing to dislike - honestly!!

Booked twin room for myself & daughter to go to moto gp at Silverstone. As Silverstone was cancelled my daughter & her partner went. Phoned Charlie to let her know & she upgraded them to a double room. Absolutely fantastic as they both loved the surprise. Cannot rate Charlie high enough. Thankyou again Charlie from one very satisfied customer
